i've read sixty percent of it. really interesting. i'm thoroughly enjoying it. I always find it touching that Irish people often end a phone call, not with goodby, but with, "God Bless." A surprisingly endearing cultural habit. anyway, i love harris and i love the book. I love his friendliness but also his at times sudden intimidating edginess. God bless him.
I'm thrilled for a Richard Harris book!! I hope everyone represents him accurately in the upcoming documentary, too. Richard was far too clever for anyone to pin him down. Good for you, Richard! Don't pick him apart and analyze him. Just accept him. He's forever my favorite! 🇮🇪💚💋🎶
@@thejoejacksoninterviews4207I listened to your podcast and enjoyed it because I'm such an admirer of Richard. I find it odd, a bit narrow-minded and frankly, a disservice to Richard, that many think there MAY be more to the man than the hell raising, etc. labels that are usually associated with him. Of course there's more to him than the few clichéd, tired descriptions he's been saddled with by the critics and public. This is true of all people to varying degrees. Since he was a well-known figure, there's a general idea of him held by the public. Only a simp would think that he's merely a few qualities and not much more. To listen to, watch or read his works, it's painfully obvious that he's incredibly intelligent, deep, witty and a complex and fascinating person. I find what he talks about and believes worth listening to and also agree with him on most, if not all, points. Thank you for sharing all this about Richard Harris. I look forward to your book as well as the documentary by Adrian Sibley. Richard Harris has always been my favorite. I adore him and he continues to thrill and delight me in many exciting ways. He just happens to be gorgeous beyond belief. I guess I don't find it necessary to try to answer or figure out every detail of a person's make-up. I don't question myself. I am who I am and I do and think certain things. Many things contribute to a person's entire make-up. Live your own life and believe what you want. Let others do the same. It's just a bonus for me, I guess, that I'm a female and Richard Harris is an exceedingly wildly attractive person on every level. Good luck with your book sales! I'll bet they'll be through the roof! Thank you. Julie 🌸
@@ziggersz4899 hi, thanks for good wishes. But you misheard or misread something! My podcasts and my interviews from the start in 1987 show there was more to the man than the superficial tabloid image that I set out to undo in 87 and Adrian attempts to, using my tapes, in 2022. It seems we finally succeeded. And that’s what Richard asked me to do as his friend.
@@ziggersz4899 I replied to this! It’s disappears. I never believed there may be more to the man, I always knew there was and set out to prove it starting in 1987! I thank you for your good wishes.
@@joejackson248 I totally apologize, Mr. Jackson. You certainly understood and set out to prove Richard was far more than his public image. I should have edited my reply to reflect this. (I since have). It's people in general who should understand what a multi-faceted man he was. I didn't intend to imply that you were one of those dopes. I'm thoroughly enjoying everything you've written/said. I will be buying your book and am excited to read it! Should be a #1 best seller! Cheers! 🎶🍻🇮🇪
I have read alot of Harris and Peter O'Toole books. Looking forward to this one. This Sporting Life is very very underrated. Thanks Joe.
It’s one of the best films made in the UK, I say in the book
@@joejackson248 Agreed! I've seen it an obscene amount of times. Brilliant!

He was Irish, what more can I say!

Enjoy the book. I am one of the few people Richard allowed to analyse him.
