I loved *Dory Previn* as a teenager way back when ... in Dublin last century... and never knew she had strong Irish cultural roots. (The name Previn was distracting although it was her husband's name!) Dory was born *a Langan,* with Irish grandparents on both sides, and all the religion & trauma that seems to go along with the view of Ireland from the US: maybe we only hear about it from artists and writers. . .
I have loved her for years. I was lucky enough to see a stageplay about her in Topanga Canyon, directed by Ellen Greer. Her albums and books are absolutely brilliant. I’m so grateful for this documentary. I’ve waited years.

She got to sit next to Mike Nichols. What a dream! I love Mike Nichols! ❤ A lot!
@zigger And lucky Mike Nichols sitting next to the brilliant Dory Previn! Such a talent. And so underrated.
