Exploring Ganz Mavag Train with CFM Moldova: A Day on Moldova Railways

  • This train journey is really unique!
    A 4-car d1 diesel train produced in the 1960s and 1980s by the Hungarians manufacturer Ganz MAVAG for the Soviet railways.
    Suprisingly, this train still runs for Moldova railways by CFM Moldova.
    We wanted to buy tickets at the Chisinau railway station, we were told that ticket's could be bought inside the train.
    You won't find much information about this train.

      Latvian and Ukraine versions appeared with windows.
      They have been seen in Latin America.
      Moldova seems to lack replacement doors for those lovely units.
      The replacement Doors are BackOrdered....

      Deselrog has a very restful video of a trip to the Romanian border,
      on an evening run into Ungheny.....
      Something to relax and view the lovely rolling scenery of Moldova.
      Trains that are created to simply give People a Ride,
      seem to carry good Karma.

      The Babushkas still have their Wine and Vodka brewing behind the shed.
      Money apparently is not everything?
