Your wife is a patient, supportive, and saintly woman. Can’t believe she did all that along with you!!

The guy slicing was top-notch. Very skilled and friendly at that. Seems Franklin is running a fine establishment.

Mad respect for a person who is passionate about their craft but has an eternal learners mindset and recognizes that others could be better.

Four years later but yes I did the line one time and got there at 6 am. Totally worth it for the benchmark experience. To this day the best brisket I ever had. I brought books, an iPad, etc to pass the time, didn't touch any of that I had a great time talking to people from all over. I did notice when you got there at 4 AM you were first in line, then I saw the couple talking to you while waiting had put themselves by the front door and then then went in first. Everybody wants the thrill of being first in that long line!

Went there over Labor Day weekend. That brisket is to die for! The beef ribs, yes to die for. Probably the first time I ever had pork ribs without a sugar based rub, and they were great. The espresso BBQ sauce is really good, didn't put any on the meat though. I'm going to make some at home for sure. Austin is an amazing town. Will definitely go back to Austin soon and do the once-in-a-lifetime wait at Franklin's again.

Went one time! Waited in "the line" and had a blast. I believe it lived up to the hype, best brisket I've ever had. We actually got to meet Aaron and he was very grateful and chatty even though he was busy for a Saturday lunch rush. Great experience that should be had by everyone that enjoys brisket!

I remember when I went my first time, I got there at 7:30am and I was the second person in line, I wound up getting 7lbs of food. Everything was delicious and even the turkey was juicy I want to go back soon, totally worth the wait.

Giving that brisket to the last person in line was a lovely thing to do. Very thoughtful.

Three kinds of people in the world. Those who have not been to Franklins, those who have and complain about the wait, those who have and enjoy the whole experience. And yes, after all these years, the brisket at Franklins is still incredibly and consistently good.
