Actually in the US most people call it bubble tea. I have been to numerous different places that sell it and every single place I have been to has advertised it as bubble tea. But there are a few people who like to call it boba.
I can usually eat whatever I want and I never gain weight, but boba milk tea definitely packs the pounds on me even though I only get it with 1/3rd the amt of sugar. I had to quit drinking it but I do miss it so! 😔 The original place they mentioned in Taiwan definitely has the best!

Some Boba shops allow you to customize the amount of sugars you want. You can do 25%, 50%, 75% or just YOLO it at 100%
