This arc is definitely not ending soon. They're either going to have to put that button to use, or figure something out. But they are in deep shit. Black is so cunning, I love it. I keep saying this but I really can't wait to see how Sean Schemmel portrays Black, it's going to be that much more epic. This, ep 39, and 47 are my top three for now. But man, few episodes in the entire franchise have ever left me speechless. LOVE IT!!!

You know what I don't understand? When Mai and the resistance blasted Black with rocket launchers, what happened after? Obviously that shit wouldn't hurt Black in any way, so what did he do? Did he decide to spare them? It just makes no sense. Why hasn't he killed Mai and the others when he could? Literally all he wants to do is exterminate human life.
Black managed to kill quite a bit of them, but Mai and some of the group managed to escape.

Why does everyone keep ignoring the fact black was about to kill goku until zamasu stepped in? Everyone is bitching about how goku is gonna get the win even though goku isn't stronger than vegeta. Yes he has the times 10 kioken but he said he's not gonna use it. Come on guys this isn't GT.

There's no way Goku can handle Black on his own since Black's Base was tanking SSJB Vegeta (though it's hard to tell if he wasn't at full power since he exchanged blows with SSJR Black). It was really stupid because I pretty much knew Vegeta was going to lose, but when Vegeta blocked the punch I was surprised that he was doing something. Honestly thought he would lose much quicker than he did.
Also my interpretation of the "hand sword" was that he concentrated all his ki into a singularity (his hand) and just stabs straight through him.

I think people are seriously overhyping this episode. It was good, but it's not even in my top 3 let alone the best. The Super Saiyan Rose transformation is fucking amazing though. Hopefully idiots will stop hating on it now because that shit is dope. Kinda disappointed Vegeta got fucking one shot and his ass handed to him AGAIN, but figures that's how it played out, right?

After connecting a few dots... here's the theory I came up with.. hear me out guys.
1. I think Goku Black is a creation of Zamasu.. Why? Well remember when Zamasu was having that conversation with his mentor (Sorry i forget his name) & they spoke on how they been watching the humans & they will continue? Well it's fair to say Zamasu has knowed about Goku since the start. I think they will explain that in episode 58.. In episode 56 Zamasu shows up & even tho alot of people say Goku Black is Zamasu mentor being controlled but I doubt it.. I just think Zamasu killed him & stole the time travel ring. Remember the funny tasting tea & how Zamasu feels his mentor is sinning for protecting the humans.
What I wanna know is how, & maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, how.. Berreus, Whiz & specially Zenos are gonna play into the whole plot. And also when & how will the Multi Universe tournament play into all this.
I like the way the plot is turning out. I just HOPE Akira doesn't fucked it up where it doesn't make sense.
This is just my theory..
P.S. Vegeta gets screwed again & yes I'm a little upset. I hope somehow he bounces. Cause I mean cmon.. a 3 min fight & its over? Nah it can't end like that for him.

People keep asking that but it's simple, from the moment we met black, he's had a god type ki hidden and ready. It took him fighting goku (possibly is a big deal he fought Zumasu in our timeline now). He's had this power the whole time but goku had indirectly taught him how to use it with his body
The Tate art animation killed the vibe quite a lot that and the power scaling messing up further
Also black saying he made Gokus power his own so I assume he became equally as strong as goku and vegeta but something is preventing either of them from damaging black, blacks rose power increased after beating vegeta

Goku didn't even really get fucked up though. He got hit once but wasn't even hurt. However, if that Kamehameha Black was about to had connected, Goku would have been killed.

TurtleHouse I don't think so. Base Black no sealed SSB Vegeta and pretty much let Vegeta beat him down considering he wasn't hurt in the slightest by Vegeta's punches. SSR Black one-shots Vegeta. SSR Black would probably have killed Goku or seriously hurt him with his attack (unless Goku pulled Kaioken out).

Caecilius Wolfy True, SSB Vegeta wasn't going all out on Base Black, but the fact is, Base Black > SSB Vegeta (suppressed to whatever level he was at). SSR Black however took SSB Vegeta's hits like nothing. I'm not sure it's that SSR is stronger than SSB (I don't know if that was clarified). But Black in SSR > SSB Goku/SSB Vegeta.

The *_only_* problem I had with this episode was the power-scaling of Black's Base form. He got _way_ too strong from one fight, and he didn't even get a beating. He just got a few body punches that made him clutch his heart.
If he's using a (head-canon warning) Saiyan Beyond God Base with SSJB Vegeta, his SSJR form should be 50x SBG (assuming SSJB is God Base x50), meaning *_only_* Gogeta OR Zeno could fix this. There's no way Goku can do this on his own. This also means that Vegeta has to get back in the scene.
I am usually completely Hit-level stoic when I'm watching something, and the excitement is just in my mind. When Vegeta got shanked, my jaw literally dropped. I'm still getting goosebumps. That was probably *THE BEST* shocker of Super. It's like seeing Future Trunks go SSJ against Mecha Frieza again!
Pure Rage this is something that most if not all the reviewers miss, but Black seems to have taken or absorbed Goku's Power when they fought, Go back a watch that fight again and the scene when Black falls down in the Future. Fighting Goku somehow gave him Goku's powers

Vegeta giving food to the humans and that light glimpse in his eyes when he showed some pride on Trunks dealing with other people, that was priceless. Him getting stabbed was fuuuuuucked up. The Black's transformation was good. Super has some very good moments.

Yup. I think only solution is fusion since fusion combines the best aspects of each person. Since Goku isn't near death, Gogeta should be fine once they fuse.

He has to use Kaioken. Otherwise, it's a quick sensu to Vegeta and a fusion.
SSJB kaioken is too risky in this fight so i doubt he would use it. There was a good gap between SSJB vegeta and Base Black considering that black was just playing with vegeta, we also got SSJ Rose that widens the gap even more. SSJB kaioken may be able to close the gap but Goku would have to finish black quick cause if his body reaches it's limit mid fight then he'd be laying on the ground paralyzed like before.

Zumasu presented his God ki already. Black and Zumasu both fought with regular ki and vegeta was testing base black here. SSR is just Zumasus God ki

As a Yayirobe fan, I must say I was almost in tears when I saw confirmation that he is alive, I mean, he was outstanding in the fight against Vegeta all the way back to the saiyans saga.

I do not like Goku Black. He got strong way too fast.... basically all these villains are strong because of Goku... Golden Freeza, Hit (partially, Although not technically a villain), Goku Black (ability to get stronger super duper fast).... The reason why I do not like is his insanely quick rise... Goku Black, why does he not just get stronger than Berus?
Also that copy cat Vegeta villain...couldn't they come up with a villain thats already strong?

Am I the only one thinking that this episode was not that great? It was good, but like episode 47 everybody was freaking out, but art was just ok and execution could be better. I know I'm nitpicking, but it was definetly to hyped.

I don't agree. The artwork was probably the best of the series since BOG saga. There wasn't really a moment where I could find a poorly drawn character and etc. it felt like a retro DB episode, mind that it was a little bit more sped up.
AsiansLoveRice Maybe, but it was not on episode 13 level (if you know which one was that), I know transformation was good, but some other things...I will watch it again with my friend probably, and then I will decide, but I know it was not perfect episode. (ps. I was also to hyped, like I said).

The Zamasu we saw was from the main timeline so Black could still be Zamasu from the timeline of Trunks. He aint dead just the Kai's from universe 7.
The art and animation quality have been stepped up a big notch in this episode. Everything looked so refined and beautiful. Can't think of a single off-model frame.
I'm so hyped for this! Didn't someone say that Beerus & Whis will get involved in a fight with Black? I can't wait another year for the next episode to air.....
This is my theory for the end of the arc summed up.
Black ends up turning on Zamasu because he realizes he is more stronger than him. Then while Zamasu is backed into the corner along comes goku to save the day. In the end they defeat black and Zamasu finds a new love for humans and finally sees the good in them.

No!!! I think even more now that Zamasu and Goku Black are the same. I think that since Goku went and fought Zamasu he decided he wanted revenge on Goku so he went to the future before Trunks Goku and Vegeta go back and trains Black (AKA himself) so that he can unlock SSJ Rose. If you notice too Zamasu is wearing the same earing as Black in the same ear. I feel they will fuse... it would be similar to if kid Trunks went to the future to train future trunks... I know it shouldn't be that way but maybe Zamasu fighting Goku gave him more insight on him than what Black had. Or Maybe Zamasu used the other rings to check how Goku turned out during those time lines.
This episode is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! Watched the raw twice already, possibly the greatest thing I've ever seen. It'll probably take a few more times of me watching it to calm down and look at things objectively, but that's what this episode did, it completely destroyed my inner critic and left me in a state of pure fandom with my mind blown!

So with Zamasu and Black both having potara earrings, coupled with the fact that Gowasu mentioned fusing (even if it was a joke) and the Supreme Kai revealed that fusions can be undone, do you think it's possible we'll see a fusion in the near future?
It makes me consider the god connection theory more..what if zamasu is the ying and black is the yang?
Hey danny. One thing i noticed that might be big in this episode! When zamasu arrives at the end and we see that he is in cahoots with black goku. Youll notice that zamasu in this timeline isnt wearing his earrings from the present timeline, but gowasus! He has on his left ear, and so does black on his left ear, to possbly prevent fusing together while still maintaining a kaioshin status to use the time rings. What do you think? Will it play a major role next week? Personally i think zamasu may have not only killed gowasu in this timeline but used his body in some way or another to be able to keep the power of a kaioshin at his disposal despite not actually being promoted to one himself. It might seemed farfetched but what if zamasu didnt use this future timelines goku but the alternate future timelines? Perhaps even fusing it with gowasus body so black would still retain the power of a kaioshin to travel among timelines and allowing him to as well. and the latent fighting ability of the strongest mortal race. I dont think it was ever stated that if a potara fusion was to remove the earrings after fusing they would unfuse, considering its always been stated that once fused that way its permanent. Who knows maybe if ssjr isnt enough zamasu might even fuse with black himself. I dont think it was ever said that a potara fusion cant stack, weve just never seen it happen. Its just a theory ive been thinking of. Let me know what you think

I have 3 theories to the potential outcome.
Theory 1: Goku pushes zeno button.
Theory 2: Goku goes Kioken.
Theory 3: Goku fuses with Vegeta.
I just do not see it ending any other way.

Not sure if someone mentioned this already, but Black and Zamas both have the same potara earing on the left side. Remember when Gowas and Zamas both travelled to the future and Zamas needed the kaioshin potara to do that? That explains why Black has the potara in the first place, to be able to travel to the future with the time ring, which Zamas gave him probably after he killed and took them from Gowas in the past! So Black is someone from the past, but who? lol
Epic episode. I really wonder if they're going to pull out fusion to try and stop Black.
I doubt it but it would be cool my theory is that goku will put an end to this and trunks will go ssj3 in this arc

What if Goku black is the person Beerus saw in his dream/vision. And Beerus ends up fighting Goku black.
This episode was fuckinh awesome! the dub version is gonna sound so boss!!!
I think something important to note, is if we remember when wis was training goku and vegeta together (specificly the training exercise where goku and vegeta where trying to land a punch on wis and they couldn't). Wis told them if they were to get stronger and truly be able to defeat any foe no matter how strong that they would need to work together and leave there sayain pride aside. i think this might come into play sometime in this ark. Maybe we will see a fusion or something of that sorts.
I feel like there's only a few ways this ends:
1. Goku pulls out a new transformation
2. Goku uses Kaioken
3. Goku somehow figured out how to do Hit's time leap and uses that.
4. Either Black or Zamasu push the button not realizing what it is.
5. Black fully embraces his Goku body, lets his guard down and Mai pulls a Sorbet and shoots him.
