Hi, Jesse... it's Pedro here, from Brazil. I think that in this song Angelina built a true “Run Catalog”, because there are runs throughout the song, all over the place, and each musical phrase is made up of very difficult runs with jumps of unexpected intervals between high and low notes, articulated in a complex melody that would be difficult for any professional singer. But, at 9 years old, Angelina can handle it, of course.

It never ceases to amaze me (and millions more) what Angelina was and probably has always been able to do with her voice ! I'm 63 and have seen and heard my share of talent , just not at the level of her ! I found her the same year she was on Norway's got talent and couldn't believe the control she had at seven ! I listen to her singing every day since ! Great comment and have a good day from Seattle ! Go Angelina !!!

This is one of my favorite Angelina performances, and it doesn’t get enough play. We all know her voice has gotten stronger when her age turned double-digits, but listen to this. Is there anyone who can’t see that she’s a jazz singer, even at 9 or whatever age she is here. I just love this because you can see her influence from Etta James, but there are her own touches here as well. It’s extemporaneous jazz, and we get what she’s feeling that day, and whatever she’s getting from the band behind her. And it will be different every other time she sings it.

There is a post on her FB uploaded the same day, including a shot showing her getting off the plane at Mo i Rana's airport. It reads: "Just landed in northern Norway! Can't wait to enter the stage in few hours! See you at Hemnes boat and fjord festival!" Hemnesberget is only 25 miles away from that airport.
Grandma said 2014 when she uploaded it 2020. But their age descriptions with the 2019/20 uploads sometimes proved inaccurate.

It's like Angelina was born knowing how she was supposed to sound. Then she quickly (age 8 or 9) figured out how to do it, and all the tools in her toolbelt became available to her. That she navigated the change in her vocal cords and body as she grew up, still using all these techniques, is amazing. Everything about Angelina is amazing, we know.

is it possible that Angelina's voice is a 'fractal'? As in the more you look into it, or listen to it, the more details and nuances you discover. Just one "at La-aa-a-aast" overwhelms me... it's just so damm beautiful.
The birthday livestream was so much fun! Its always a treat to hang out with a group (a flock? a halo? a song? a blessing?) of angels. This is a great live performance! Her emotional connection is beyond understanding. Who knows how or why? She's Angelina Jordan . That's explanation enough.

It was this same concert, whether it was after this song or another one, that she went to the front of the platform, got on her knees, took off her flower crown, reached across the aisle and gave it to one of the children in the audience. They went wild! So sweet!
I have a vocal pitch monitor and it’s amazing how close, if not on, she is to hitting 444hz with every note she sings. Only the instruments hit the lines every time, as you know. She’s more consistent than any other singer I’ve checked, especially now that she’s matured. Diana and Putri are really good also but they don’t have Angelina’s uniqueness and total control of their vocal cords to change the sound of their voices as does the girl of a thousand voices.
Jesse, one of my favorites from young Angelina! On Mery's channel she has her at 8 yo doing 3 different rehearsals of this song and it's such a blast watching these rehearsals and seeing how she is obviously unhappy with the band but is able to tame them to how "she" wants things to go. I think these would be right down your alley
