Fortunately by God's grace I'm a teacher by profession and my mother was also a teacher. So from the very childhood we celebrate Ganesh Puja and Saraswati Puja at our home and School. That day we don't study and rather devote our time in Puja. We don't take onions and garlic use to have a grand Prasad sevan. Even today too the same is celebrated with great joy and divinity. I am from Karnataka went to attend a wedding somewhere near Patna in the month of Feb it was a foggy morning and first time in my life have experienced and witnessed Saraswati pooja and that memory is so vibrant and colourful. People were celebrating it so happily and mostly small kids everywhere.. It was all new things for me.

I am from Assam. And we celebrate Saraswati puja like a choti Durga puja. Here students dressed up in traditional attires go to their schools and colleges, pray to Maa and eat khichdi there. Growing up in Bengal, I used to believe Saraswati Puja is celebrated with its highest glory only in West Bengal. This video has made me to think otherwise. All our cultures are so much interlinked, yet each of these cultures preserve their own distinct identity. Loved to see how the emotions of Saraswati Puja in Bengal and Bihar are so similar yet the practices distinct, both being extremely beautiful.
Bengal mein ghar ghar mei hota hai. Bihar mein ghar ghar mein nahi hota. Yaha mostly education centre or locality level pe hota hai. That in fact brings more emotions together.
Thankfully, I have lived in both places and enjoyed it to the fullest.
