Love these tutorials on ‘proper’ Lofi artists - one thing I’d like to learn more is how to make my tracks sound more like “one” rather than drums on top of guitars or drums on top of a sample etc… I imagine glue would be a topic in the conversation
Another great video Will!! I'd be really interested in seeing you make a Lofi track from scratch and going in depth on your mixing techniques. Would that be something you would be interested in making?
It seems that I'm learning something new every week from you. Thanks for taking the time to study other producers and thanks for sharing the knowledge. Combining all of these techniques I'm learning is really helping me develop my sound.
Hey Will, I started making (basic) lofi beats during Covid. I found your channel very late but very glad that I found it. You are amazing! I don't understand half (almost fully) what you are speaking. But it helps in building some kinda intuition. Thank you so much for making these vids!!
As always amazing work. I have an idea for a video: how to find inspiration and keep yourself motivated. I always struggle with both of those and i think i'm not alone, so it would be a certainly helpfull video
Definitely up for that! I did a similar video maybe a year ago called “5 ways to become a better producer without making beats” which was largely about motivation and inspiration! But yes - we should definitely revisit that topic!
Solid tutorial fa✨ I always find myself adding too much foley to a track, what would you say is a good average amount of sounds to use for foley percussions in lo-fi?
Not necessarily a good average but spacing is important! I’d have no more than 2-3 foley sounds overlapping, you can have as many sounds as you like throughout the bar, loop, song as you want though, just space them apart don’t let them compound on top of eachother - IMO
Here he is folks the lofi master back at work... Always love the education man. I'm like a first-year student in Hogwarts and you're Dumbledore
You are TOO kind! 😂 This gave me a great chuckle!
that wooden frog is dope
The instrument at 6:02 is called guiro!
Our saviour has arrived!!! Thank you 👑

Oooh! This is an interesting topic, you’ll have to give me some time to think about how I could construct it in the best way!
@@WillHatton cool 🤙 would be great to see more stuff about simple master processing chains to churn out more beats.. could maybe tie the two together
Great video! I've been experimenting with foley percussion recently and this helped a lot. Thanks!
No problem my friend, thank you!
Nice Will...great study on Foley Drums....
Inspired... and INSPIRING! 💜🎶 Love the ceramic ware and the stapler😁
Always struggle with drums, so this is really helpful, thanks Will

Thank you, that was a great one. I followed it step by step, now time to make it my own, and put some tasty synths and marimbas over this rhythm 😋
Let’s goooo! Great to hear bud!
I always learn something new or get a fresh idea from your vids, Will. Thank you!
Most welcome, it’s my pleasure!!

They’re not unfortunately! But not super hard to replicate if that’s something you’re looking for in the future!
