I know it is going to be a good video when it is over 15 minutes long. I sound like a broken record but I wanna give a huge THANK YOU to you Will. The amount of info you share with us really shows how much you care about the community. As for the tracks...I feel like they could all be good in ways but for a Tenno track, the third beat was excellent.
it's really great receiving advice from someone who understands music production as much as public expectations for tutorials, I've learned so much coming to this channel, way more than anywhere else, thanks Will ;)
I was thinking of doing an “inspired by” release one day. Just a compilation of artists sounds you may recognise from the episodes, reimagined into full songs!
@@WillHatton that would be dope! It would be pretty cool to have so many different sounds and styles all depicted in the Lofi genre but all done by one artist Hush Child
Thanks Will, you are I think the best content creator for making beats. I really appreciate the effort and care you’ve put in to crafting your channel and the clear respect you have for the time of your viewers 🙏
@@WillHatton Reminds me of a time where I used to do the same, before I realized that using an utility for volume automation will free up the slider and make life a lot easier.
@@Ratok1 I guess that’s the great thing about Ableton, you can utilise it in so many ways that benefit you personally! The reason I use the track mixers on this particular project is to make use of curved automation lines so it plays more orchestrally! Almost all the instruments have a utility setup for gain, so our workflows are kind of inverted.
@@WillHatton I'm not quite sure I understand? You can curve the automation lines regardless of which gain parameter is chosen, be it utility or mixer. Are you saying the mixer is more incremental, so therefore achieves a smoother progression? Anyways, it makes no difference for the sound so I guess it's just habit and preference. I just found that mixing becomes a hassle when the track sliders are occupied, since it forces you to click into the effects section.

Seeing you automate volume on the track mixers is painful haha
Why’s that bud?
