Whenever you read about Bhutan, on the net or a magazine, there is always a picture of a monastery perched on top of a hill that pops up. That is exactly Tiger’s Nest is a Buddhist Monastery that clings to the side of a cliff near Paro. It’s the number one tourist attraction in the country and is the main thing I wanted to see on my trip- Tiger's Nest also known as Taktsang Monastery is located on the cliffside of Paro Valley.
    - It's an intermediate level trek of 3-4 hours(one way). The trail is slightly steep in some parts of the trek, however not dangerous.
    - You can hire a horse from the base that will take you till the cafeteria which is half-way through the trek. There's a fixed charge of INR 880/- to hire a horse(one way).
    - The entry fee to the monastery is INR 1000/-
    - Cameras and phones are not allowed inside the temple and have to be kept in the lockers at the monastery gate.
    - It's advisable that you visit Tiger’s Nest at the end of your trip to Bhutan so that you acclimatize better to the elevation.
