- HAPPIEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD - BHUTAN. In this video, we show you one of the most popular place to visit in Bhutan - The Tiger's Nest in Paro.
- Tiger's Nest also known as Taktsang Monastery is located on the cliffside of Paro Valley.
- It's an intermediate level trek of 3-4 hours(one way). The trail is slightly steep in some parts of the trek, however not dangerous.
- You can hire a horse from the base that will take you till the cafeteria which is half-way through the trek. There's a fixed charge of INR 880/- to hire a horse(one way).
- The entry fee to the monastery is INR 1000/-
- Cameras and phones are not allowed inside the temple and have to be kept in the lockers at the monastery gate.
- It's advisable that you visit Tiger’s Nest at the end of your trip to Bhutan so that you acclimatize better to the elevation.
Some important points you should know before planning a trip to Bhutan :
- Indians who don't have a passport, can travel to Bhutan as well, carrying their Voter ID.
- Indian currency is accepted and is of same value as Bhutanese NGU.
- There are two ways to enter Bhutan - by air and by road. Plane tickets to Bhutan are usually expensive as there are only a few flights that fly into The Paro International Airport.
- You can enter Bhutan via land from Phuentsholing-Jaigaon border.
Closest airport to Jaigaon is Bagdogra and nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri.
- There's an Sustainable Development Fees of INR 1200/- per day per person
- It's mandatory to hire a guide for your entire trip in Bhutan. Guide fees is typically INR 2000-3000 per day and car is priced at INR 3000-4000 per day.

how is the trek? Is it doable or difficult?
Medium difficulty. There are horses available which take you half-way through
What is the cost of pony ride ? Do we have pony ride on returning
880 INR per pony per person 1-way. You can even come back on pony but they charge more for that.
