Regarding the Concussion Explosive objective, here's something that's not immediately obvious: fire extinguisher explosions count as concussion explosives when they blow up, and a lot of maps have plenty of them to go around
You can use propane tanks for that objective too, but they must be out of lethal range and within blast radius - they will pacify guards and still count for objective. I found this useful since there is only 1 fire extinguisher in entire hokkaido.
This can be risky, especially on Hardcore, if you set off the extinguishers by shooting them. There is a chance that guards go into a panic that sets off some weird telepathic compromising spree. That said, the advantage of it being an accident is that you can probably do it to the same guard multiple times.
Colorado isn't even the worst map honestly Mumbai sucks so much worse. Hokkaido is super crowded trying to do showdowns in the hospital is fucked with the amount of guards. Same for Bangkok and Marrakesh.
Unless you're dealing with a "no firearms" challenge in conjunction with "burn accident", just drop a wrench or other metal object on the oil spill and shoot that object to create a spark. Works every time
I want them to add more syndicates focused on non-combat objectives, like cracking open safes, looting crates, collecting guns, stashing away bodies, panicking crowds, breaking open/lockpicking doors, collecting keys/keycards, using specific mission exit and distracting 3 npc with map objects (TV, vacuum cleaner, sink etc)
I wish there was better execution for the do not unlock doors challenge. You could unlock them with the regular key or a key card but you couldn’t unlock the door with a crowbar, a lockpick ,or an explosive or high-powered weapon.
Espionage is good if you're bored and want some challenge. It taught me a lot of ways that do not involve unlocking doors + suit-only, but it is horrible for xp grinding and beginners. Eco crime actually encourages you to keep an eye on your targets and see what they do - there are actually a lot of smokers (propane/oil trap), people who drink/eat (poison kill) and people who go to secluded areas as part of their loop. Its good for practice, but not xp grinding. Also oil lights up 100% if you shoot metal object (letter opener, wrench, bartoli gun etc). Psy-ops is great for achievement grinding since there are very few (or none?) tasks with kill requirements, so you can pursue stuff like katana kills (for samurai 47) or druzhina kills (for strelok) or poison kills (don't lick me and natural selection) etc.
I go full John Matrix on Freelancer so my favorite ones are the ones where I can shoot people. My load out is always an assault rifle, a concealable SMG, a concealable shotgun, and a pistol (sometimes fully auto).
I only once tried to complete a task with the murder of a target and a random person by setting up an accident. My target was sitting in the bathhouse with another person. I steamed them both to death, the challenge didn't count. Fuck such challenges
arms trafficking is actually extremely easy to bring all 3 if you just bring the gold shotgun which is very easy to get on new york and a dak, leaving your back slot/briefcase free for the assault rifle, yeah unsilenced shotgun is a pain but you don't need to stealth arms trafficking and you can get away with it if you just run away and maybe hide if need be also you need to watch out for the blind objectives since people with sunglasses don't get blinded because lmao idk
I had the most fun with Eco Crime, I had no problem with oil cans, just drop a wrench in the oil and shoot it to make a spark. Some targets also kill themselfes by smoking. I even managed to do a TRIPLE ELECTROCUTION! Hilarious fun.
Once I had more gear, arms trafficking was my favorite syndicate. I mean, I was killing guards anywau, might as well get paid for it. however, several times I got kill guards with shotgun, kill guards with assault rifle, and kill guards with SMG. And that's where things got a bit dicey. I was eventually able to do it but my shotgun had to be the unsilenced sawed off one or getting it from the map.
By the way, WildGold, the listed tasks for each syndicate are not 100% exhaustive list. There are some tasks that did not fit the list and are still obtainable. For example at 5:20 u dont see "kill guards SMG". That is true for each syndicate. Edit: also crowd npc (which don't have a dot on minimap) do not count for collateral kill objectives. Contact me if you want some more interesting facts, tips and tricks.
PsyOps Showdowns are insanely broken, because if you save a “Distract Target” location for the showdown, that’s an easy way to find your target if your either impatient or bad at telling suspects apart.
I ended up doing that on one of my first syndicate missions like that and ever since then I try to line it up like that all the time unless the map it's on is horrible for syndicate missions
I think it might be better to hope for Distract Target in Sick Games because the rest of Psy Ops's objectives are kind of bad, but that is a bit risky. If all you care about is campaign completion, however, saving Distract Target for a final showdown makes identifying the leader incredibly simple.
Tbh. even tho i unfortunatly cant play the freelancer. This content is actually fire. Im thinking to buy the game and being able to play freelancer, gonna use your advice most definetly. you gained another subscriber mate
Regarding oil canister accident: do NOT shoot the oil itself, shoot close to the edge of the puddle so that the bullet impact creates sparks that ignite the oil ... it worked for me , but.... The best 100% reliable way to spark an oil canister puddle, is: drop a wrench in it and shoot the wrench. Thanks for your videos. Cheers !
i really hate how limited freelancer is, there are no real reskin items and even though that sounds good, its really annoying when you finish a op hardcore campaign but you already have everything so your reward is a rare shotgun. also it feels so linear, like instead of finding your own route there's one path that you just need to stumble upon.
Fun fact: I was once playing whittleton creek and my target was the home seller while doing the syndicate: Psy Ops. Got a free 1000 Merces for doing nothing.
A tip I learned: NPCs can open any door. Just place a coin right infront of the door, and when they go to pick it up, the door will open. I believe Hokkaido is an exception to this though.
One thing I found out on my first campaigns, is that the most efficient way to achieve silent takedown - rare melee is the chloroform bottle. It weighs 1, I believe, and as long as you use it to subdue (not thrown at or near a target), it doesn't get used up. I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I definitely felt like I cheesed it the first few times.
Espionage isn't too complicated, and it's actually easy given the maps. As long as you know how to navigate getting the best disguise for the map. With doors, there are also tricks to getting NPCs to open doors for you with distractions like coins. Espionage is usually my go-to grind, and it's never been difficult. It just depends on your order. Always leave the easier maps (preferably Hitman 1/2 maps) for showdowns. Your other maps are based on the hardest/most difficult to navigate down to your final map of choosing for your showdown.
I always choose the campaign with silenced firearms or sometimes melee kills 😂 I almost never touch the accidents, explosives or hidden objectives campaigns.
ive played a lot of arms trafficking syndicates and when i have challenge set like kill guards with smg+ar+shotgun my loadout always has a suppressed dak but depending on what the guards carry ill either carry suppressed ar and a sawed off or i carry suppressed shotgun and pick up the ar from another guard in the map itself, mostly this rule applies to dubai with guards carrying suppressed shaska a33s but i do make exceptions sometimes
You can throw aswell stuff like the Micro Audio Distraction Device or the Micro Explosive to complete the rare melee challenge by throwing them to a target!
I wish there were some safeguards to not have objectives that contradict each other. Or that need for you to have three types of guns. I had to get rifle and shotgun challenges both at the same time several times, I can only dread when there’s three
Personally, i would switch assassination and organ harvester, because headshot only will fail if you fire your gun at anything other than a head, including missed shots, and cameras. But overall, this list is pretty close to how i rank the objectives when I'm picking targets.
For some of these I don’t exactly understand the reasoning behind it, like no pacify for example. Yes it’s annoying and may “go against how you normally play hitman” but that’s the point of freelancer I think. Also you can kill guards in freelancer as long as your not doing sa so it’s still doable
PS: You should rename the vid to BEST SYNDICATE TO CHOOSE, because you are talking about the different syndicate types that give you different challenges, the CAMPAIGN is the whole thing from start to end.
Honestly none of this matters. Rushing every map going for prestige objective only will get you more money faster and gets you further in the campaign. Unless you're going for the worst objectives like silent assassin or perfect run its pointless even trying to get these completely optional objectives. Choose syndicates exclusively based on maps. Syndicate types don't matter.
i will never forgive you for that intro to enact revenge on you I'm going to email IO interactive in the hopes that they will remove silencers from all assassin's in freelancer I WIILL ENACT MY ENVY
Lol you know its not mandatory to complete them ? If you have a problem with playing espionage you simple just lack map knowledge and game mechanics, it's a bit more challenging but certainly not that hard. Also, no pacify means you can still kill someone, so it's pretty easy
If you drop the oil canister into the spilled oil then shoot the canister it lights EVERY TIME. Wait for flame to go out and pick up empty canister….EZ
Regarding the Concussion Explosive objective, here's something that's not immediately obvious: fire extinguisher explosions count as concussion explosives when they blow up, and a lot of maps have plenty of them to go around
Exactly, what I was gonna say, lol. Bring one duck with you and leave the rest for fire extinguishers
Was about to comment that!
Goddamn, did not realised that

"Big one" from loot crate, as well as EMP charge (must be placed directly ON OIL) will also ignite oil - for no firearm challenge.
I thought a gunshot would spark the oil without anything metal, just the bullet impact 🤔
I want them to add more syndicates focused on non-combat objectives, like cracking open safes, looting crates, collecting guns, stashing away bodies, panicking crowds, breaking open/lockpicking doors, collecting keys/keycards, using specific mission exit and distracting 3 npc with map objects (TV, vacuum cleaner, sink etc)
Like a Heist syndicate "the stealer"
I wish there was better execution for the do not unlock doors challenge. You could unlock them with the regular key or a key card but you couldn’t unlock the door with a crowbar, a lockpick ,or an explosive or high-powered weapon.
"Do not illegally unlock doors" would be better, yeah
You know you can enter almost any room without unlocking doors right ? You can also lure a NPC and open it for you as well
The moment I saw the different objectives and saw the word "sniper" in assassination I knew I found my match.
Fun fact cloroform flask counts as a rear melee.
Espionage is good if you're bored and want some challenge. It taught me a lot of ways that do not involve unlocking doors + suit-only, but it is horrible for xp grinding and beginners.

just gonna say for the remote explosive kill, you can eventually make makeshift explosives in the safehouse garage, so it won't be a problem later on
I can't use that since i unlocked the table becuase the fuse is bugged and i can't take it off the fuse box , i hope they fix it in the next patch
arms trafficking is actually extremely easy to bring all 3 if you just bring the gold shotgun which is very easy to get on new york and a dak, leaving your back slot/briefcase free for the assault rifle, yeah unsilenced shotgun is a pain but you don't need to stealth arms trafficking and you can get away with it if you just run away and maybe hide if need be

Yeah with those I basically have to bank in buying a silenced shotgun or rifle on the map
Its a constant juggle of map choice vs objectives. I try to pick the easiest campaign that features New York
do not pacify seems really difficult at first but you can just kill guards instead so its not too bad
You can't just kill all NPCs without hurting your wallet, though

Fire extinguisher is great for concussive explosions, as long as you don’t get spotted it’s an accident and doesn’t ruin silent assassin.
Distract target IS BY FAR THE GREATEST THING in a showdown. Just keep bumping into suspects and you've found the leader.
Regarding oil canister accident: do NOT shoot the oil itself, shoot close to the edge of the puddle so that the bullet impact creates sparks that ignite the oil ... it worked for me , but....

I’m sure the “do not pacify” can be gotten around by being absolutely lethal XD.
there will be a spring roadmap next week and for the elusive targets it will be the heartbreaker march 17-27 and the broker 27- april 4

You can throw aswell stuff like the Micro Audio Distraction Device or the Micro Explosive to complete the rare melee challenge by throwing them to a target!
I personally find Eco Crime the most unenjoyable syndicate, but Doors Stay Locked on Espionage is the worst challenge in the game.
2:13 - You can destroy Cameras by throwing Objects at them :P
Well "do not pacify" only counts if you care about silent assassin.
Rare melee pacify can be achieved with any rare weapon that's not lethal like micro taser
I wish there were some safeguards to not have objectives that contradict each other. Or that need for you to have three types of guns. I had to get rifle and shotgun challenges both at the same time several times, I can only dread when there’s three
A fire extinguisher counts as a concussive explosive.
(but I still agree that it's not the greatest objective)
If you killed non-targets for disguises, when you're on "don't pacify anyone", is the XP worth it the XP you lose for killing non-targets?
8:31 I’m sorry, YOU CAN MAKE POISON AT THE SAFEHOUSE?!
yes you can, lethal syringe
Why do you suggest the bad ones at all? I just started but it seems like I can pick the same type over and over?
There's challenges involved with completing all of them, if you skip out on some, you will miss their xp and make the grind even harder.
Hey, is a fire extinguisher considered a concussive explosive? It can't kill anyone so I don't see why not.
very nice vid mate
Honestly, my favorite is Sick Games. I like to imagine i am killing pornnografers, hentai producers/artist and digital porn artist.
Personally, i would switch assassination and organ harvester, because headshot only will fail if you fire your gun at anything other than a head, including missed shots, and cameras. But overall, this list is pretty close to how i rank the objectives when I'm picking targets.
Thankfully the recent patch made it so you can shoot cameras without losing the "don't miss" objective
