Yes. He’s a perfectly normal human being. No fake hyped up attitude for the cameras or show. No stupid jokes. No pseudo-intellectualism. No superiority complex. Just a normal guy. It’s a breath of fresh air.
If you are a baseball fan, and happen through Louisville, that factory tour is a great family or for yourself time. Pretty inexpensive, and getting to hit balls in the batting cage with bats made to your hero's specifications for a few extra dollars is so fun. I've been three times and got a custom bat made for myself every trip.
I have been there before it is so interesting to walk through there and see how the bats are made especially for a baseball player or a baseball fan highly recommend going and taking a tour of you are ever in Louisville Kentucky you won't regret it
While I have the chance I wanna thank my dad for getting me into baseball .he won’t read this , he’s old school and still listens to the radio on the front stoop . I’ll never forget the 1st time I played ball . 1966 , The older kids up the block were pitching and hitting in the street and dad sent me up there and told me to ask if I can play . Mr. Broschart was pitching over hand and i said , cant throw underhand ? I was like 6 yo and he said , that’s not how we play here son and proceeded to put my hands together , choke up on the bat and spread my legs . It was all fun and games ever since .
2 yr later he now plays for the Cubs lol Edit - Also, don't tell me 24 is your favorite number too... just so happens Pederson is #24 now too. Crazy huh?
I've crossed the bridge on I65 from Indiana into Kentucky many times and the first thing you see is that big ass Louisville Slugger factory. I've always wanted a tour. Where do they make the corked ones?
Stuff like this is what makes me damn proud to be an American. God bless all these kind’ve all American companies. I’m in the process of starting my company, and I want all the work to be done here by American hands, in the country that I love. God bless America. ✊🏼🇺🇸
I'm in Tennessee, but very time I got to Louisville, I go again. Hell, the part of the tour where they hit the cnc machine and are doing bats for current players is thrilling.
It’d be cool to get a branded bat without sanding off the scorch marks. Hell, take a blowtorch to it and add some more. Then a nice varnish to seal it in
Nicholas That is the name of the model. Usually named after the person that created it or made it popular. Jeter has a model named after him for example.
Yes. Different sizes, different barrels, you can also add things to them. Like grip or a barrel ring. For metal bats there are illegal bats because they can improve performance or have an advantage vs normal bats. It all comes down to personal preference when it comes to bats.
My question to Louisville : What flavor do you coat Puig's bat that makes him lick it?
Steroids
@@MRMALO-ed3jp it's just a joke bro

Joc seems like... a simple fellow....
"Are there stuff in these?"
Jon he asked so he can tell the density of the bat, if it was hollowed out or corked it would sound different
Yes, he’s a regular guy and that’s a good thing.
Yes. He’s a perfectly normal human being. No fake hyped up attitude for the cameras or show. No stupid jokes. No pseudo-intellectualism. No superiority complex. Just a normal guy. It’s a breath of fresh air.
And Jon is a simple name
I like how this is in my recommended right when he gets traded
Valentino Gomez not no more
He's staying LOL
Do they build outfield cameras at this factory? If so I'll take 30.
Thankfully not anymore
Luckily the trade didn't go through. Now he has a WS ring.
Going to the Louisville slugger was cool, even better that Joc Peterson hit a home run with the special order bat he chose.

I remember watching Stu Pederson growing up back in the good 'ol days when he played for Syracuse. Dang, time flies...
He was like a kid in a candy store
You just made my day!
@@peatelisucksbigfatdick9050 nice
I wanted to sit down at the branding or milling gear and turn some bats.
More like a dodger outfielder in a bat factory
Took the tour 10 years ago was awesome. Met the guy who made Frank Robinson's bats pre computer. He's was like the tour miester.
Dodgers please don't let Joc slip away from your organization pay him to stay

“Louisville Slugger has been making musical instruments for metal bands like Slipknot for over 25 years”. Lol
I took the tour at LS a few years ago while passing thru town. Josh Harrison from the Pirates at the time was going thru.
I am surprised they don’t have a batting cage setup for MLB players to try various bat configurations.
I MA A CARDINAL FAN LIVE AND DIE, THIS PIECE HAS NOW MADE ME A HUGE JP FAN HES SUCH A NICE GUY!!!!
Bats have changed pretty much 20 or 20 years ago until today. I still keep my Louisville Slugger bat I usted in 80's and can see difference
Damn wish I knew. yungjoc is one of my favorite non Cubs and I'm just a few miles from the factory.

I actually do alot of maintenance work for a company that used to make the dowels for Louisville Slugger
I attempted to make a bat in woodshop on the lathe ended up lookin like a toothpick Haha so soothing though
Video should be called worlds most charismatic man visits bat factory.
I got to see that in person also
why is he wearing Grandals jersey #9 in the last home run? @6:18
Matthew Garbe I think that was Grandal. Is Joc a switch hitter? Because the last batter was a righty...
