This should honestly be done for all large rivers in-game. It always bothered me in KR how as the USA you'd fight all along the Mississippi as if it was nothing more than a creek instead of the massive river that it actually is.
Will you be adding scripted peace conferences? Eg. Like the one in The Great War, where eather side can surrender via decision, and the peace terms can be negotiated through events.

There's 1 mod that I know of that does this, called Glasg0's Overhaul Mod (I'm totally not a contributor to this mod)

If you are stressed with putting a LOT of events focus tree for all of your dates,you should reduce the start date and the. Add them in an update
I'm only adding focuses and stuff for 1789-1836 and 1936-1946
you should make berlin how KSR does it where its two states but only 1 city intill its split apart
I may split the state albeit they won't be 100% accurately sized
wow i deleted this mod just few weeks ago (mostly because i thought it wont work) now it looks updated
the mod still is in early early development if you are thinking twice about playing it play it in September or October
