I got spoiled on Junko. I was just listening to a nightcore of one of my favorite songs and it had a Junko fanart where she was holding monokuma and had monokuma hair pins. That was before I got into danganronpa fandom. When "she" died I was so confused.
Yeah, I’ve seen many anime screenshots of her doing some crazy faces, so when she seemingly died, I was like “What? No way! She hasn’t done anything yet! There has to be more to this.. what’s going on?” But actually... it’s not as big of a spoiler as it could’ve been, since I still wasn’t able to figure out anything extra about the plot. Spoilers for Danganronpa V3 Chapter 1 and Doki Doki Literature Club: About the Kaede/Shuichi twist, I had been spoiled about it when I was in the middle of playing Danganronpa 2. However, I was lucky enough to have interpreted it wrong. Because I saw a lot of memes putting Kaede, Ibuki, and Sayori from DDLC together and saying, “Oh, they’re all hanging together,” I thought the twist would be that after a few chapters, Kaede wouldn’t be able to take it anymore after so many killings, and she would kill herself, and Shuichi would discover the body. I even saw the thumbnail of her execution on a video, and I originally thought the thumbnail was a CG, not part of the execution. I was so happy to have interpreted all of this wrong, otherwise the real twist of her being the culprit wouldn’t have been so shocking. It was a good twist, after all.

before i started watching v3 i watched a video about danganronpa 2 and i got spoiled on multiple important events on v3 in the comments. im still salty about it. note to all, if u dont wanna get spoiled, avoid anything and everything danganronpa related, because many danganronpa fans spoil on purpose to ruin the experience of new people
Yh staying away from anything danganronpa related at all apart from the actual games is the best bet. Staying away from the comments too. I didn’t get any of the games and just watched the playthroughs cause i was spoiled on everything anyways

Yo, streaming Danganronpa on Twitch, as a small streamer, is impossible. So many fans don't understand what an implication is, and how it counts as a spoiler. Someone can say shit like: "maybe there is someone else called yasuhiro?" (being someone who clearly played the game before), it can be stuff like: "oh, wait til you get to next chapter", like please. Do you know how communication works, lol, you're saying that something happens before it does in-game.

I had gotten spoiled on almost everything in V3. The victims, blackends, mastermind, plot twists, everything. Yes, sometimes it was my fault but most of it I would be scrolling through RUclips comments for D1 or D2 and someone would comment how blank’s execution was basically the same as blank’s execution or something like that. Edit: Something I would love if it happened more often is when they say “spoilers” in the title of a post they would also put in the abbreviation of the game. So if the post was a sprite of a blackend breakdown from v3 it would say *spoilers ndrv3*. It would just be nice to know if this spoiler post was safe for me to look at.

I found out about Danganronpa from a Lets Play. After watching a few videos RUclips started putting *Insert Character Here* EXECUTION OMG I CRIED with the character getting executed right in the thumbnail. You have to disconnect from the internet to avoid Danganronpa spoilers.
I didn't get spoiled in the other games, but for V3 I got spoiled so much that I didn't want to play it because I knew what was going to happen. My dad and my friend had to convince me to play it.

I bought the first and second game 3 days ago and a day prior I watched like a few minutes of a execution spoiler so every time something about someone who was a suspect I had seen in that video I’m like “well you did this” like (the girl who lied who I shall not name because it’s a spoiler) I also had a friend tell me after I said that I liked a character she said “Raylee.. that character dies first” and I was HEARTBROKEN but after she told me who did it and I was laughing hysterically at “his” execution Don’t look in the reply’s unless you want a part of the game spoiled

@@Riff_10 They may as well have just shown who it is by that point - it's so incredibly obvious who it is by just seeing them as the base culprit and it spoils what is probably the best case in the game. After a quick check there are actually several people with the chapter 3 culprit thumbnail and it's just a complete giveaway. Culprit height is also a bit of a giveaway. Another issue is when people in the comments are just innocently speculating blind about the identity of culprits, etc. and say "no spoilers in the comments please I'm watching blind" and the first commenter decides that that person MUST actually want to know who it is! And that's how I got spoiled on the entire game. Fun.
I remember getting spoiled at the 2nd game ((Spoilers obviously)) I was watching someone playing the game’s 3rd investigation. I was scrolling down in the comment section saying “I just realized that Teruteru’s X in his portrait is a fork and a knife” or something like that. I got all three games spoiled. Every death, ever execution and every survivor was revealed to me and honestly that's just a bit crap. I love mystery solving and I didn't get to do that because I knew I how everyone was killed and who did it

Spoiler for dang2 and V3 trial 5 Dude i remember getting spoiled in kokichi's death it was a speedpaint where the artist makes a fusion of Nagito and Kokichi, and for no reason the creator added audio saying rip nagito and kokichi. Like why? Im only there for the art results... but atleast the compicated confusing experience of the trial of kokichi and kaito had me feeling doubt that kokichi dies for most of the trial and that kaito did... Another thing is i stupidly hate how whenever youre watching a danganronpa lets play thing and the RUclips decides to reccomand you things about DR, i mean yes i love them but i hate how some of the reccomanded videos gives spoilers in the thumbnail which is a D move I also hate how how when you point out that they spoil is, they victim blame by saying "pffft its not my fault, that game cane of decades ago you shouldve seen it" which actually makes no sense atall since most people never had computers back in early 2000s or atleast great running ones i guess

I’ve been spoiled EVERYTHING on V3, such as [Spoilers by the way] Gonta’s death, Kokichi’s death, Kiibos rampage, Gontas death, kaede’s death, rantaro’s talent, mastermind tsumugi, ryomas death, tenko and angies death, kaitos exec, danganronpa is fictional (well actually i thought just v3 was fictional but when playing the trial i reliazed everything was fictional) so not too big of a loss, kaede isnt the blackened and practically everything. I mean it was still enjoyable but i feel if i didnt get eevery spoiler ever, it wouldve been nice
i spoil the games for myself because i like to know what happens before it does, i guess its because i've watched all the total drama seasons several times over so i already know what happens
What got me into Danganronpa was a top 15 list of the greatest video game twists and Kaede dying was one of them. And it got me interested in the series. So when I watched a play through of V3 and got to the execution I looked up the executions for 1 and 2 incidentally spoiling most of those games for me. So that was fun.

Don't just spoil the main games, but Despair Girls and the 3rd Season Anime too. If someone were to ask me about DR? I would just give a simple synopsis saying it's a Suspense thriller game that is like a visual novel mixed with Ace Attorney elements where you get to know the chars, one of them dies, and you have to solve the mystery by trying to figure out who did it. It's pretty much the same concept for the 3 main games. If someone asked me about Despair girls. I would say don't play it unless you've watched a let's play or played the the first 2 games because it links them together and spoils both. 3rd anime I would say don't watch unless you've played the first 2 games and Despair girls because it's split into 2 arcs where the Future Arc takes place after the 2nd game, and Despair Arc takes place before the 1st game. I would add that all the games, Despair Girls, and the 3rd anime are all connected in some way, but that's it. Keep it simple and vague. But yeah DR fans are notorious for spoiling. I was lucky that I watched the 1st anime before anything and am an expert at avoiding spoilers so I was never spoiled.

HEAVY DRV3 SPOILER WARNING!! Got Spoiled about Tsumuki being the DRV3 mastermind by a thumbnail putting all the "Villains" together. I enjoyed the game a lot, but still think some of the twists affected it very less. Speciallly the part where Kokichi says he is the mastermind, it felt like i would be way more invested if I didn't know it was false from the beggining. Heavy DR1 SPOILER WARNING!! This is also the img used for DR Wiki and it is just so dumb
There are definitely a LOT of things in these games that can be spoiled, and I agree that you shouldn't post things about it on other games sites, things like that. BUT you learn pretty quickly that this is a murder mystery killing game. So if you're already into the game and start looking things up, then you also need to realize you're going to spoil it for yourself. For me, I saw a let's play of the first trial of the first game and thought the games looked fun, then played them all before finishing watching the let's play. Thankfully that first trial is probably the easiest one in the series, so apart from knowing the victim and the murderer, I didn't really have much in the way of figuring out the murders spoiled for me. And really, I think doing something like that is how everyone should be playing. Don't look it up before you've played it lest you spoil it for yourself.

Danganronpa was one of these games that I always bought on release day and then started playing immediatly and I didn't use the internet until I finished the game. (Because that was the only way to avoid spoilers.)
I lent a friend of mine the trilogy recently and when he saw V3, he immediately asked if its a V or five, I told him that it was a V and it stood for victory and explained that it was because Danganronpa 3 is an anime. I would rather lie than spoil something so important.
Spoilers for DR1 I actually almost spoiled my friend on the Junko twist in Chapter 5. I was talking about something Monokuma said like "Remember how Monokuma said XXX?" Then my friend looked at me weird and just said, "Why did you say Junko?" And I was genuinely confused before they said "Just now, you said 'Remember how Junko said XXX?'." And I realized my brain went on autopilot and just automatically used Junko to refer to Monokuma, because that's what I do when talking in the fandom. I was luckily very quick to recover and just acted all confused, like "What? Why did I say Junko? Haha that's like the most random character." And I actually threw them off. I was so scared though, that I'd slip and give it away, so I was doubly impressed when I survived a SECOND conversation an hour or so later. Honestly I was just really lucky. Like my namesake! I knew calling myself TheNagito would pay off sooner or later! I've also explicitly told them to just not look up anything Danganronpa, because MY GODS spoilers are everywhere.

So i was new to danganronpa and had just watched an entire playthrough of the first game (the person who played never had played it (lucahjin)) i just started danganronpa 2 and was on the phone with a friend who had finished it all and we were talking about danganronpa 2 characters and i looked up teruteru and was looking through photos and saw deep fried teruteru. I said "oh haha deep fried terureru" thinking it was a joke or a meme and my friend said "OH MY GOD DID YOU JUST SPOIL YOURSELF" so yeah... Now ive watched all 3 and got spoiled on v3 survivors so yeah

Unfortunately, Junko suffers the whole issue with Sephiroth. It doesn’t work. Even people who never played DR know about her. The same applies to Sephiroth. In the FF7R, they don’t bother hiding Sephiroth from the story. In fact, he is active in the story. So, Junko suffers the same issue as him.
I wonder if this video should count as a spoiler itself...Because, I have not played V3 except for the demo on Steam, and...Ya know. I don't really mind spoilers, it's more like "I'll believe it when I see it" sort of thing for me. So that part about Kaede...Meh. I'll believe it when I play it.
I managed to get through danganronpa 2 (and the dr3 anime) completely unspoiled, but I really wish I hadn’t got spoiled for some of the other trials (1-2, 1-6, 3-4, 3-5) because even though I still really enjoyed spoiled parts of the game, it probably would have been more impactful had I experienced the twists authentically.

Tips for anyone just entering any fandom; if you haven't finished playing/watching it, avoid searching it on the internet, even if you're watching it on RUclips, until you have finished it. One thing that you have to expect of anything involving a piece of media, particularly anything with a singular plotline, is that spoilers are going to be dropped, and not all of them come with warnings. And if you're watching it on RUclips, and it has multiple parts, do yourself a favor and avoid the comment section at all costs, or if you feel like you need to add a comment of your own, stay at the top (and hope that no one replies with a spoiler until you've gotten past that part). Also, I did get spoiled on a lot of important details, but that was on me, as the video that spoiled everything did have a very obvious warning; I just didn't care at the time. It's not just Clair de Lune. I also saw people crying over Kaede on Der Flowalzer, completely spoiling not just her death, but her execution.

I was one of the people who got spoiled because of a comment section. I watched a no commentary video of the games cause I’m broke and I went to write a comment and I got loads of spoilers. Like Junko being mastermind and that ruined the game for me :( Edit: I also got the whole of the V3 spoiled because of memes and other stuff like in this video. :(

Sadly for me most of 2s survivors were spoiled and V3s mastermind was spoiled right after chpt. 1 which was REALLY BAD. And the survivors of V3 too (luckly i was more then half way trought the game when the survivors were spoiled but still it sucked)
I actually got spoiled with the Mikan situation. I think I was on chapter 1,and an edit popped up in my recommendations. on the thumbnail was that picture e of Mikan laughing and the title mentioned chapter 3. if I hadn't had seen that, I wouldn't have even guessed it was Mikan :( I also got spoiled for when (don't look if u haven't seen dr3) when angie died, and that that guy with the mask killed her. 2 things: 1.Even if you get spoiled you can still enjoy the game. I still enjoyed Persona 5 and I knew a good 80% of the game, That's been the case for so many games for me 2. Bro the games are from 2010, 2012, and 2017. If you haven't played them by now, that ain't our problem. Although I will cool it because Switch Ports.
My point is that some people spoil it for others without much consideration. Even if Trigger Happy Havoc came out in 2010, some people may not have been interested to play Danganronpa until now. Even though there's a chance people may know Junko is the mastermind before going into the game, there's also a chance they don't so it's better to keep that chance alive. Yes you can get spoiled and still enjoy the game. That's why replays of the game can still be fun but the first time experience is something that will always be unique if you go into it blind.

Because I saw a lot of memes putting Kaede, Ibuki, and Sayori from DDLC together and saying, “Oh, they’re all hanging together,” I thought the twist would be that after a few chapters, Kaede wouldn’t be able to take it anymore after so many killings, and she would kill herself, and Shuichi would discover the body.
I even saw the thumbnail of her execution on a video, and I originally thought the thumbnail was a CG, not part of the execution. I was so happy to have interpreted all of this wrong, otherwise the real twist of her being the culprit wouldn’t have been so shocking. It was a good twist, after all.

Someone can say shit like: "maybe there is someone else called yasuhiro?" I had gotten spoiled on almost everything in V3. The victims, blackends, mastermind, plot twists, everything. Yes, sometimes it was my fault but most of it I would be scrolling through RUclips comments for D1 or D2 and someone would comment how blank’s execution was basically the same as blank’s execution or something like that.
Edit: Something I would love if it happened more often is when they say “spoilers” in the title of a post they would also put in the abbreviation of the game. So if the post was a sprite of a blackend breakdown from v3 it would say *spoilers ndrv3*. It would just be nice to know if this spoiler post was safe for me to look at.

I found out about Danganronpa from a Lets Play. After watching a few videos RUclips started putting *Insert Character Here* EXECUTION OMG I CRIED with the character getting executed right in the thumbnail. You have to disconnect from the internet to avoid Danganronpa spoilers.
I didn't get spoiled in the other games, but for V3 I got spoiled so much that I didn't want to play it because I knew what was going to happen. My dad and my friend had to convince me to play it.

@@Riff_10 They may as well have just shown who it is by that point - it's so incredibly obvious who it is by just seeing them as the base culprit and it spoils what is probably the best case in the game. After a quick check there are actually several people with the chapter 3 culprit thumbnail and it's just a complete giveaway. Culprit height is also a bit of a giveaway.
Another issue is when people in the comments are just innocently speculating blind about the identity of culprits, etc. and say "no spoilers in the comments please I'm watching blind" and the first commenter decides that that person MUST actually want to know who it is! And that's how I got spoiled on the entire game. Fun.

Dude i remember getting spoiled in kokichi's death it was a speedpaint where the artist makes a fusion of Nagito and Kokichi, and for no reason the creator added audio saying rip nagito and kokichi. Like why? Im only there for the art results... but atleast the compicated confusing experience of the trial of kokichi and kaito had me feeling doubt that kokichi dies for most of the trial and that kaito did...
Another thing is i stupidly hate how whenever youre watching a danganronpa lets play thing and the RUclips decides to reccomand you things about DR, i mean yes i love them but i hate how some of the reccomanded videos gives spoilers in the thumbnail which is a D move

What got me into Danganronpa was a top 15 list of the greatest video game twists and Kaede dying was one of them. And it got me interested in the series. So when I watched a play through of V3 and got to the execution I looked up the executions for 1 and 2 incidentally spoiling most of those games for me. So that was fun.

Don't just spoil the main games, but Despair Girls and the 3rd Season Anime too. If someone were to ask me about DR? I would just give a simple synopsis saying it's a Suspense thriller game that is like a visual novel mixed with Ace Attorney elements where you get to know the chars, one of them dies, and you have to solve the mystery by trying to figure out who did it. It's pretty much the same concept for the 3 main games. If someone asked me about Despair girls. I would say don't play it unless you've watched a let's play or played the the first 2 games because it links them together and spoils both. 3rd anime I would say don't watch unless you've played the first 2 games and Despair girls because it's split into 2 arcs where the Future Arc takes place after the 2nd game, and Despair Arc takes place before the 1st game. I would add that all the games, Despair Girls, and the 3rd anime are all connected in some way, but that's it. Keep it simple and vague.
But yeah DR fans are notorious for spoiling. I was lucky that I watched the 1st anime before anything and am an expert at avoiding spoilers so I was never spoiled.

Got Spoiled about Tsumuki being the DRV3 mastermind by a thumbnail putting all the "Villains" together. I enjoyed the game a lot, but still think some of the twists affected it very less. There are definitely a LOT of things in these games that can be spoiled, and I agree that you shouldn't post things about it on other games sites, things like that. BUT you learn pretty quickly that this is a murder mystery killing game. So if you're already into the game and start looking things up, then you also need to realize you're going to spoil it for yourself.
For me, I saw a let's play of the first trial of the first game and thought the games looked fun, then played them all before finishing watching the let's play. Thankfully that first trial is probably the easiest one in the series, so apart from knowing the victim and the murderer, I didn't really have much in the way of figuring out the murders spoiled for me. And really, I think doing something like that is how everyone should be playing. Don't look it up before you've played it lest you spoil it for yourself.

I actually almost spoiled my friend on the Junko twist in Chapter 5. I was talking about something Monokuma said like "Remember how Monokuma said XXX?" Then my friend looked at me weird and just said, "Why did you say Junko?" And I was genuinely confused before they said "Just now, you said 'Remember how Junko said XXX?'." And I realized my brain went on autopilot and just automatically used Junko to refer to Monokuma, because that's what I do when talking in the fandom. I was luckily very quick to recover and just acted all confused, like "What? Why did I say Junko? Haha that's like the most random character." And I actually threw them off. I was so scared though, that I'd slip and give it away, so I was doubly impressed when I survived a SECOND conversation an hour or so later. Honestly I was just really lucky. Like my namesake! I knew calling myself TheNagito would pay off sooner or later!
I've also explicitly told them to just not look up anything Danganronpa, because MY GODS spoilers are everywhere.

Unfortunately, Junko suffers the whole issue with Sephiroth. It doesn’t work. Even people who never played DR know about her. The same applies to Sephiroth.
In the FF7R, they don’t bother hiding Sephiroth from the story. In fact, he is active in the story. So, Junko suffers the same issue as him.
I wonder if this video should count as a spoiler itself...Because, I have not played V3 except for the demo on Steam, and...Ya know. I don't really mind spoilers, it's more like "I'll believe it when I see it" sort of thing for me. So that part about Kaede...Meh. I'll believe it when I play it.

I managed to get through danganronpa 2 (and the dr3 anime) completely unspoiled, but I really wish I hadn’t got spoiled for some of the other trials (1-2, 1-6, 3-4, 3-5) because even though I still really enjoyed spoiled parts of the game, it probably would have been more impactful had I experienced the twists authentically.

Tips for anyone just entering any fandom; if you haven't finished playing/watching it, avoid searching it on the internet, even if you're watching it on RUclips, until you have finished it. One thing that you have to expect of anything involving a piece of media, particularly anything with a singular plotline, is that spoilers are going to be dropped, and not all of them come with warnings. And if you're watching it on RUclips, and it has multiple parts, do yourself a favor and avoid the comment section at all costs, or if you feel like you need to add a comment of your own, stay at the top (and hope that no one replies with a spoiler until you've gotten past that part).
Also, I did get spoiled on a lot of important details, but that was on me, as the video that spoiled everything did have a very obvious warning; I just didn't care at the time.

Sadly for me most of 2s survivors were spoiled and V3s mastermind was spoiled right after chpt. 1 which was REALLY BAD. And the survivors of V3 too (luckly i was more then half way trought the game when the survivors were spoiled but still it sucked)
I actually got spoiled with the Mikan situation. I think I was on chapter 1,and an edit popped up in my recommendations. on the thumbnail was that picture e of Mikan laughing and the title mentioned chapter 3. if I hadn't had seen that, I wouldn't have even guessed it was Mikan :(
I also got spoiled for when

when angie died, and that that guy with the mask killed her.
I haven't actually seen dr3 yet, but I know a lot about it.

when i was looking at kazuichis sprites i saw his blackened sprite but instead of not wanting to continue watching anymore i got more interested in the game i was confused on why hes a blackened does he kill someone? who did he kill? i wonder what his execution is like? instead of just getting mad and not wanting to watch anymore i got more excited

it was at a point i got almost every v3 death spoiled
2 things:
1.Even if you get spoiled you can still enjoy the game. I still enjoyed Persona 5 and I knew a good 80% of the game, That's been the case for so many games for me
2. Bro the games are from 2010, 2012, and 2017. If you haven't played them by now, that ain't our problem. Although I will cool it because Switch Ports.
My point is that some people spoil it for others without much consideration. Even if Trigger Happy Havoc came out in 2010, some people may not have been interested to play Danganronpa until now. Even though there's a chance people may know Junko is the mastermind before going into the game, there's also a chance they don't so it's better to keep that chance alive. Yes you can get spoiled and still enjoy the game. That's why replays of the game can still be fun but the first time experience is something that will always be unique if you go into it blind.
