The Battle Of The Year has come a long way. Who would have thought that BOTY would go from starting out in 1990 in a local youth culture centre with 500 hard-core fans to an arena packed with more than 12,000 roaring spectators and b-boy crews from all over the world?
BOTY has grown massively -- and we have slowly realised our vision of developing the spirit of breakdance and creating an international event platform that allows B-Boys and B-Girls from all different countries to express their creativity in front of an ever-growing audience.

Edinex Y Y'know what? Me too. This was literally the first video I ever watched from BOTY. From that I became interested in other styles of dancing like animation and b-boying, and in other dancers, many of them Japanese as well. I'm grateful to these guys too.

Damn, i was studying in Braunschweig at this time and watched them live close to the stage. The Daft Punk-part was one of the most impressing dances i have ever seen.
can't explain how it impacts my when i first watched this legendary routines in y2008, after 12 years, it stands still as fresh and classic ! thanks to this routine that brought me into street dance. :)

I watched this when i was studying in china.. I was high school student and this video was one of the reason I switched to poppin from breaking. Since china had blocked RUclips, this has been forgotten. Im 28 and its good to watch this again.
