When the order book came out I noticed the wing disparity. Definitely was a WTF moment and no way I would even consider the convertible after that. I went the same way as you, once I saw the prices I went with a truck instead.

As soon as Al was shuffled away from the Camaro team, it seems all passion for the car died with his departure. Between brief pockets of seeming to have enthusiasm for the Camaro, GM ultimately always ends up treating the Camaro like the bad step child. Sad.
It’s honestly frustrating and sad how abused this model is, it’s been evident for such a long time. But this just confirms it with a shameful launch of a collectors edition, always 0 marketing (and what marketing there was was for low end version), an awful halfassed refresh. I could go on…
agreed, the people that run the company don't care about enthusiasts and car people they just wanna sell the high volume trucks and suv's and EV's so they look virtuous. The Corvette only exists because they were always going to do the E-Ray so they seem green, such a joke......

My 23 delivery got pushed back again until 10-5 at least it moved from the factory to the rail yard . 24 on the lot and still can’t get my 23

Good question... Any convertible owner is getting screwed out a high wing spoiler, and any CE that should have had the carbon flash interior trim also got screwed. Especially since GM didn't lower the pricing.
My 2SS CE was produced on 9-13-23. Vehicle is awaiting dispatch transport to Chicago. Ordered in June. Fingers crossed.

Ordered on July 4th.. took delivery today.. I was worried about transit as it was produced on August 14… definitely worth the wait!
The reason the carbon spoiler doesn't come on the convertible is because the AM/FM antenna is in the rear spoiler on all 6th gen convertibles from LS to ZL1 so that they don't lose signal when the top is under the tonneau cover. The coupes have their AM/FM antenna in the rear window above the defroster. Similar story for the rear camera mirror being put in the spoiler for convertibles where the coupes get it in the roof shark fin.
It sucks that the Collector Edition ZL1 convertibles don't get the carbon wing, but there is a lt least a "logical" reason for it, and will make spotting clones in 20 years really easy.
I'm a Camaro fan however these manufacturer/dealer antics are ridiculous but as consumers if we keep buying/paying what is asked they won't be changing anytime soon. These tactics were learned during the onset of the Covid shortages etc.

I received my 2024 2SS Convertible, non-collectors edition, in 3 months which was great, but I did not receive any of my dealer installed items. So no black wheels, all weather mats, stripes, footwell lights, and wind screen.☹️ Dealer can’t tell me when any of it will arrive, really sucks for the customer. At least I can drive it as is while I wait for the rest of my options.
You have to be crazy to pay that much for a paint job and a panther in your letters😂 I've seen nicer Camaros running the streets.
I think the 6th gen Camaro must be the best vehicle GM has ever produced. So it's fitting and telling that GM gave it short shrift and decided to kill it off. I will never buy another GM product, not because I am unhappy with my Camaro, but because I love my Camaro.

2024 Camaros are such a joke. Pay a ridiculous price for nothing new, absolutely nothing. Performance is most important. Unless yu really want a number, a way overpriced wrap and badging 🤣😂. So glad I bought a 2023 1le instead.
Proud to own one of these last masterpieces, doesn´t matter that it´s "just" the normal ZL1, 6MT. It doesn´t have to be the collectors edition. The car is a legend for me!
I’m seriously over GM at this point. I’m going to keep my 20 SS 1LE but my next vehicle won’t be a GM product.

Got my 2SS Collectors Edition Friday
I'm still waiting on my coupe....but when I ordered it, I had the option of ordering the exposed carbon fiber hood insert, and in fact paid the extra $600, so therefore unless it comes without it, it's available on coupes. Mine has been moving between lots in Lansing but still waiting on dispatch.
The carbon fiber insert option negates the ZL1 decal package(ZL1 stripe) and vice -versa.

Did you ZL1 guys even knew that the ZL1 coupe wing is wider then my ZL1 vert wing and I wouldv'e bought the larger one in a heartbeat.
Your AM/FM antenna is in the rear wing. All of the 6th gen convertibles use the same wing, from LS TO ZL1. It's just GM being GM...
99k for a ZL1 is crazy! Not even a 1le package is included in that price.
Ordered my 2SS CE coupe at the beginning of July and hasn't progressed since then. I check everyday hoping for a production date but nothing so far. Convertibles have always been more so that doesn't surprise me them doing this.
I ordered my 23 2SS 1LE Feb 27th ,I was told they had an allocation and they lied ,"no allocation "my car never moved from 1100 status,Then 2024 ordering opened, My same car was $2700 more ,BUT ,I ordered 5 of them from different dealerships and finally I got a call and my order was accepted by gm on sept 7 (just in time for the strike 😂.So 7 months later I'm still in the process ,If ur dealer didn't have an allocation ,I suggest start calling dealerships and have them order,Its basically a dummy order,No I didn't put a deposit on any of the orders ,EXCEPT A large deposit on my 2023 order that I was lied to about... I have #155/350 and I have the Silver, not Carbon. I had an order for 18+ months for a ZL1 1LE. My dealer sold to me at MSRP which was nice, especially since they are not making 2024 ZL1 1LE's
100k might just as well buy a ZO6 idk collector addition is just a way for GM to make more money. I personally wouldn’t bother id just buy a regular camaro without the collector addition. But i drive my cars anyway not for collecting. Definitely wouldn’t bother with convertible thats for sure id be pissed if i did lol!!
FYI-I originally ordered a carbon fiber insert on ZL1CE coupe and noticed the metallic ZL1 stripe was removed from order. I had to remove insert to get metallic stripe.
GM Atty’s are on standby, lol,,. deceiving public, false advertising,etc.. that’s too bad. Most people work hard for their dream car in hopes that their dream will come true…COMPLETE!!! Thanks Matt… c u in Vegas this weekend!!!
What motor are you planning to get in the truck?
Just heard convertible production stops in November and coupes in December. So glad I got my 2023. Anniversary edition is nice but not worth the markup being asked
Yeah, Dec they will stop accepting orders, Jan they will be done building them.
Ordered mine VOM 2SS , 12/31/21 just the way I wanted and got her in May of 2022. I Knew these days were coming. Enjoy it. What's on the lots and the strike if Lansing is hit, will mostly like be it if someone wants a brand new one.
They do not care. If you are making a limited amount, you should have the parts for it, thats the reason for it being limited. They have crapped on this car since Al left, all GM focus is on C8, EV, Trucks, SUVs. Barra needs to be fired, use her 29mil for some damn parts
What do you think... i ordered a 2023 RS LT1 some options did not arrive with the car like the 1LE spoiler or the set of Black lug nuts and carbon fiber fuel door. its been 8 months dealer says they dont know when this is a solid 2 thous of options im waiting on can this go on for 1 year, 2 years? how long before we settle up??? anybody know????

Dealerships are keeping them, the car buying overall is trash. Dealerships can choose to keep an item because a dealer is normally owned by a single person. They can buy a car from manufacturer and choose not to sell it for a larger personal profit later.
I personally know multiple dealership owners that kept the best for themselves, and being the owner, they really didn't pay a dime. They did it to make even more money after the normal sale.
It’s my understanding the Dark Knight Black doors spears were removed from ZL1 CE interior package. The door spears I saw on 001/350 in video were not black. I would think they are all the same as one shown in video. The window sticker in this video list black door spears. As I mentioned above, spears in video do not look black.
The image for car 1 has the proper door spears and yes, it is called dark Knight. Most of the other ZL1 collectors editions in the wild have plain silver

On the Chevrolet website A LOT of 2024 Camaro are listed as "In Transit". With coupe production ending on 12/9/23 will many of the
"In Transit" cars not be made?
Also, have only seen 3LT and 2SS cars with the Collector's Edition option. Wasn't there supposed to be an LT1 Collector's Edition? Is there an LT1 Collector's Edition?
Order banks are closed the last of the cars will be made through Nov/Dec. CE cars were random, they made a bit of all. If it’s in transit it’s built and headed to the dealership.
Go for AT4X if you stick with GMC
I need the truck for towing, the AT4 would be as high trim as I go.

The ONLY model receiving some love from GM is the Corvette and maybe the big "guaguas". THEY DONT CARE ABOUT ENTHUSIAST ANYMORE!
Is it safe to install a cold air inductions CAI into a 23 2SS? Just cautious with it not being factory? Did they use to manufacture for GM?

Good question/note. But knowing the wing can’t go on should make the package cheaper as that is a main item/cost of the package.
@@Lethalgarage totally agree. GM has been on my shit list since they let Pontiac and Hummer go and Mary Barra hasn’t done enough for me to not question their motivations and decision making skills still to this day.
The high carbon wing is lighter than the base zl1 wing.
Years from now those cars that did not come with those carbon flash door panels will be advertised as RARE, RARE, RARE NO CARBON FLASH MODEL and will be collector models and command more money. 😊

Has anyone seen a convertible with high wing maybe its a safety issue with the back window...it blocks view.....? I dunno just a thought and they should lower price definitely if u dont get it ....

They can't place the camera on the convertible top, so it must go inside the regular ZL1 spoiler, correct? I have 2023 ZL1 convertible, rear deck spoiler houses rear mirror camera the 2024 Collector Ed convertible spoiler looks identical to mine, so you get what you get I guess. But they should make convertible buyer's aware they're losing the far more expensive wing spoiler from the 1 LE. I recently discovered that my '23 ZL1 convertible DELETES the Electronic Limited Slip Rear Diff, but supplies the standard mechincal LSD? AND my "sway bars" are of a slightly narrower diameter than the coupe version. So GM, what's up with that? So I kind of have to believe it's the same situation on the 2024 convertibles, Collector Editions or not. I'm now 70, likely never track my hot rod ZL1, but Hey would've been nice to know before laying out the extra $7500 that I actually LOSE a few things in the deal. And now folks paying almost $100 Gs actually lose quite a bit more.
When you are doing the built it details that the rear wing is deleted on convertible option, so nobody that ordered one will je surprised. As well tje carbon fiber exposed on the hood was available paying $600 which is ridiculous because needs no paint but anyway, yet a price to pay to have the last of the breed with no better performance, definitely car did not received the honors it deserved with a truly mechanical or performance upgrade.

What I find most interesting is everyone berates GM for things like this and then they go out and buy another GM car or truck in your case. When Guga talks trash about Salt Bae he doesn't turn around the next day and tell people to go eat at Salt Bae or worse go there himself after having made one trip and been ripped off once. When Unce Roger berates Jamie Oliver he doesn't turn around and praise his recipes. HYAAAAAAAAA!!

I wanted a new 2024 LTG 2.0 Camaro, but they only offer the 3.6 now for the 1LT, and are charging almost $10k more than when I bought my last one new in 2019. Fuck GM honestly.
The 2.0 went in constraint long ago. Production is long done, so your pick is only what is left on lots.
F the customer! If they are willing to shell out the cost in the first place then despite the missing options that they wanted they will still buy it. To bad the customers are more passionate about the Camaro than the manufacturer is. GM has pretty much forgotten about quality assurance & customer satisfaction. You can see this if you spend anytime at the local Boneyard. Silverados,Tahoes,Burbs & a shitload of Express'. Then there line of cars. What a bunch of junk the Malibu is. I still love my '70 RS. From Gen 3 the cars are no good. Gotta put some of the blame on the fact that there are just too many people on the planet today & we pump way more shit into the atmosphere than we should. If only Covid was a bit more deadly. REVOLUTION!!

Not worth the markup!! I don't want a kids style stupid wing!!!. If iwant a collector camero, I'll buy a 69' cheaper & happier!!!. A rear Nascar style taller spoiler carbon fiber on the deck lid would look and be better anyway!!!.on a newer camero.plenty of newer camero's outthere.

This whole deal needing allocations is bullshit. I tried to order a 23 never got one. Now trying another stealership for a 24. They told me they have no problems getting an allocation but since July still nothing. If I don't get my Camaro I will never consider another GM vehicle again.
