i broke something on my rustler 4x4 everytime i took it out for a spin. i barely jumped it and parts started breaking here and there. i'll probably be better off with a truggyfied typhon 3s with some parts from the 6s.

Hey Kev when u get new rc vehicle dont charge it right away becouse the battery will lower its capacity. You should get the new lipo battery down to 0, then charge it!

That 36kg Servo in the description is actually on sale right now for $29.99 US thats pretty cheap for a good servo, I have always had good luck with the cheap Banggood ones, I have 2 of the 25kg one in each of my 1/10 scale Arrma
You need to shim the diffs!! The car might be solid now but the diffs have way too much play in them and strip easy. Get a 4092 long can in there too, more power lower temps! Even a max6 stop the blx overheating. Been there done that! Can't wait to see you bash it some more pal! :)
Have you ever tried to put double shocks on it? Or make it real stiff so it don't hit bottom hard when you jump. It would probably be hard to double shock it Just get real strong springs.😊 Your videos are the only videos I've been watching for 3-4 weeks now. Keep putting out videos and I'll keep watching. I'm already subscribed. My wife and my son have cancer I've been trying to buy a car for a good while now but just don't have the cash. So sad because my son can't get around in this would make him happy because he can't do nothing else. But anyway keep up the good videos.
If anyone orders a lipo from Banggood that lives in the US make sure its from the US Banggood warehouse, I have ordered two from China and they do not make it through customs, I'm guessing they do not like lipo batteries shipped in a bag
I’m pretty sure that that’s a general rule that interactional shipping needs to follow. It’s too dangerous to ship something that can act like a bomb. So yeah, domestic shipping only, sry buddy. Also, if your resorting to bandgood for lipos to... I guess, save money, I suggest you save a bit more and go with something that won’t puff after 30 cycles. Honestly, I reccommend turniny graphene packs. Last 600+ cycles, and can withstand much higher loads (c- rating, amperage)
@@Bertoslav Banggood offers to ship Lipos to the US, even though they know US customs will not let them through most of the time. After 3 months they finally shipped me one from their California warehouse and it showed up in 4 days ups
@@Bertoslav The Banggood lipo was $24.99 at the time for a 3s 5000mah 60c, I am actually still using the battery and am going to make a video for my youtube channel after a few more months of use. After paying $65 for a 3s lipo from Lectron Pro and have it fail the first time I charged it I wanted to try other brands. I generally stick with Awanfi hard packs or Goldbat. I've never ran into issues with either one of them and I have road rashed my Awanfi 3s pack quite a bit from bad landings

Wow! Really nice shout out to Rich and M2C 🤩 Rich is one of the nicest guys in the RC game 👍👍 M2C has been killing it recently with all the upgrades. I have lots and lots of M2C upgrade on my Arrma's 👍
Id say the kraton is more durable than the erevo, but the xmaxx is more durable than the kraton. It also depends on bash styles. Rich always bashes on dirt it seems, where as you're always on concrete, and concrete plus aluminum doesnt mix lol.
I have all the same parts on my V3, I highly recommend grabbing a pair of diff housings. The stock plastic bulk head has too much flex and will shear the spur and pinions in no time. No way... right on cue, as I was typing this I heard the dreaded tell tale sound of a stripped diff when the shaft popped out !! Grab Hot racing bulk heads and a mugen shim kit !!
You do so many reviews of the Bangood specials, how about testing some of the nitro engines they offer? I would love to know how long the pistons and cylinders last on those cheap engines!
I miss and don't miss the R/C world.. I miss it because, I came to love the hobby and everything about it.... I don't miss it because my dad recently passed got me in to it when R/C was booming back in the 90s ....

GPM makes those aluminum hing pin braces as well. That fixed that problem for about $15 but Im still rocking the stock chassis. I do agree, they are the weak point but it hasn't been too bad on the typhon because it's pretty short so it's not that bad. I might get a chassis like that eventually because my chassis is old and is starting to wear through the rear diff pumpkin though. Look good Kev!
I love my Arrmas but gotta say for the type of bashing I do they are easy to kill ... mine are modded like rich and it works! I get my xmaxx end of nov
Hey Kevin Looking to get back into RC after many years. Thinking of getting an Xmaxx or quite possibly the new traxxas maxx. What's your recommendation being the RC expert you are? I'm pretty sold on either one and not open to any other brand/model. My LHS seem to stock all parts etc. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks
Put a little bit of nitro fuel line in the drive cup on each side so there's no space for the dog bone driveline to move back and forth causing it to pop out

Use the erevo 2.0 push rod ends for the shock rod ends on the arrmas trim the up and work perfect much stronger!

Take out the little c clip spacers in the front pillow balls and that will get you 1-2mm closer to the diff outdrive so it won’t pop out
