The T-taps are a simple connection most people will use, but IMO solder the wires or use the connectors with shrink wrap ends and solder for connections. I also assume the wiring is diode isolated as to not back feed. Awesome video either way, keep it up!
Very cool mod. I recommend soldering the wires and using heat shrink. This will ensure weather proof connections.
@@mathewmissey5699 I have yet to have issues with T-taps but I will definitely invest in a soldering iron for when it comes time to fix it👍 thanks for the info!
100%. Solder,shrink tube.
Brotha, I wouldn’t trust those T-Taps, especially under the truck in the elements. Couple extra minutes to solder and wrap and you save yourself future headaches.
Iv always had luck with t-taps it's butt splices iv had fail on me before. These are at least easy to access if there is issues on the future.
I appreciate you for this video!
Hey anytime! Appreciate the comment 🙌
When using a T-Tap, do you just place it over the wire and clamp down or splice the wires and then clamp it down? I’m looking to do the same install on my 23 tremor your videos have been extremely helpful in my research.
@@ThomasGates1787 just put it over the wire and clamp it down. It'll cut through the insulation and pinch onto the wire.
@@fiftynation Thank you for the prompt response very much appreciated bro. Do you just have one ground wire, for all of your aux switches? Where is that wire connected to?
What tire and wheel setup do you have? Do you have a lift? Awesome truck!
What heater do you have in your garage?
Did your aftermarket wheels and tires / lift or leveling affect your cameras?
Not yet they haven't.
Been loving the content but did I just watch a “election” use a T tap
T taps is whats supplied by most aftermarket companies for wire connections. So I try to make relatable videos that's easier for beginners to follow with the necessary parts as everyone doesn't have soldering guns and heat shrink. But yes you're right tho they do work they aren't always ideal.
I added both ditch lights and boost auto M1 running boards but once I connect to the upfitter switches, they will not power on. What am I doing wrong?
@@troyquail6636 do you have 12V on your upfitter wire by your battery?
@@troyquail6636 make sure the fuse is in place
Also make sure you either have your accessory power on or the truck is running otherwise upfitter switches won't work
@@fiftynation What do you mean? they each have relays if that's it
@@fiftynation I didn't change anything from when I bought it. Are the fuses not in place already?
