I absolutely loved this movie as a kid and have always appreciated your videos, even more so in 2020. Be safe and all the best to you over Christmas critic ✌🇨🇦😷
Please, check out Legend of the Three Caballeros for either Disneycember or Dark Toons. Believe me, it looks like a harmless Donald Duck show, but it gets dark and epic. It's amazing!
On the twenty-first Disneycember, my critic gave to me: Twenty-one crazy ghosts Twenty cool characters Nineteen zombies dancing Eighteen warriors battling Seventeen pet actors Sixteen speaking roles Fifteen experiments Fourteen Aliens singing Thirteen X-Men films Twelve Narration scenes Eleven mice-a-squeaking Ten wacky stories Nine cliched genres Eight X-men fighting Seven on IMDB Six Flynn-Fletchers FIVE BLAND NEW PLANETS! I grew up with British humour. I’m used to it. I used to watch a sitcom called Mulberry, about the son of death who comes to reap a lady, posing as her new manservant. It’s terrific. Some of the jokes are really dark and sarcastic, but the dark storytelling takes precedence over the jokes at times, which really makes it creepy. And the guy’s dad, Death, keeps showing up to find out what’s taking so long. Only lasted 2 seasons, but it was awesome. Very early 90s, though.
Too bad Doug didn't mention who played the dad and oldest son, who are Richard Masur ( most well known as Richie in the Steven King's "IT" miniseries ) and David Faustino ( Bud Bundy from Married...With Children ).
Funny enough the Wizards of Waverly Place Boogeyman's Boogedy Boogedy Boogedy Boo followed by first Ahh then a roaring-like sound is etched in my mind more with how hilarious it was. Especially because of the reactions to it
Me and my brother used to love this movie. We taped off the TV onto VHS when we were kids and we used to watch it over and over. Bride of Boogedy is great too which is also on Disney +. Eugene Levy is in that one.
There's actually a sequel to this one called "Bride of Boogedy" and i haven't seen that one yet as opposed to this one that i have seen. Wait till you get to Casebusters on Disney+ as well. It's probably the only Disney project that the director of Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street himself, Wes Craven, ever directed. I thought that one was decently good. ^^
@@jrcharney He was in some of the sequels. In The Frighteners. And in Bruce Campbell's Brisco County Jr. And so much more. Everyone know he was the original Gomez Addams.
Doug: "You don't understand! As long as Mr. Disneycember dwells within, the magic that keepets him there, also keepets me out! And apart from my Chaplain!"
I am glad you did this because Mr. Boogedy is definitely an underrated spooky special to me along with its sequel Bride of Boogedy which is also on Disney Plus so you should also check that out since you enjoyed this.
We recorded this on VHS and I watched it quite a bit as a kid. I then went 30 years without seeing it. And...it holds up! I quite enjoyed it as an adult. Fun flick.

Lol, ive never forgotten Mr Boogedy! I saw it when i first aired when i was 6, saw it again 13 when a teacher of mine brought it in for us to watch, and it was one of the reasons, i got Disney+! Its one of my favorite Disney Specials ever!
There's 8 seasons of Power Rangers made by Disney. You could look at them next year. They're different enough from the early seasons and movies that I think you'd be able to get a new perspective on the franchise. Or just rip it to pieces like usual. Whatever you think will fill up 8 videos
I have been looking for this one forever! I remember as a kid for 3 years straight this would get played every halloween but I could not remember the name.
Stan faked his death, changed his identity, and started a new life to escape Pennywise. Too bad for him he ended up running into another supernatural entity.
John Astin is just a joy to watch act. Gomez Addams in both original live action and animated. The father in Freaky Friday (1976), Buddy in Night Court (why the hell did I enjoy this show as a kid, I aint got a clue), hell I didn't realize he was The Judge in Frightners.
Man I remember this movie as a kid.. Crazy cuz I was only 3 when it came out.. BUT.. Man after all these years I finally found the name of this movie lol..

Something about the mom asking a ghost if she wanted to come inside for coffee just makes me laugh every single time.
Liget the one part of in the entire movie that really got me. She just had a full ass conversation like they just ran in to eachother at the store
@Bjorn Arnesen That......makes a little TOO much sense.

Well Doug has been doing this for years, so the well known movies have already been covered
I'm still waiting for "Reluctant Dragon".
You had me at John Astin, everything he's in, He's entertaining.
Top recommended movie to watch tht he's apart of?
@@jtsmoothn return of the killer tomatoes and the frighteners
Did a great job raising Sean, too.
He was a good Riddler in the 1966 Batman when the other actor wasn't there.
I love how my first name is his last name spelt differently
Mr Boogedy only says his name? I guess he's a ghost pokemon. Good to know.
But in the sequel Bride of Boogedy, he talks more.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He MOSTLY just says his name, but he does have a few lines.
Fitting that John Aston plays the guy where the house legit looks like a knock off Addams Family house.
Maybe this is their origin story.
I dunno, It feels a lot less pink then that addams house.
Too bad Doug didn't mention who played the dad and oldest son, who are Richard Masur ( most well known as Richie in the Steven King's "IT" miniseries ) and David Faustino ( Bud Bundy from Married...With Children ).
The music, the green glow, Mr. Boogedy's face, and his laugh all scared me as a kid and the sequel is even better!!!
Hoping he covers that one tomorrow.
This looks like an episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark but with a slightly larger budget and script

I watched this as a small child
I don’t even remember the Boogeyman... it was ALWAYS Mr Boogedy!
Man, OG Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Bud Bundy. So cool to see them when they were little kids!
Holy shit. I thought I imagined this movie. Awesome to know that memory is real
Fun Fact: This was originally supposed to be a Cheech and Chong movie.
Knowing the house is haunted but the dad doesn't want to leave, didn't Homer do that in one of the early Treehouse of Horror episodes?
The first segment of the first one if I recall correctly. Maybe this was the inspiration.
Me and my brother used to love this movie. We taped off the TV onto VHS when we were kids and we used to watch it over and over. Bride of Boogedy is great too which is also on Disney +. Eugene Levy is in that one.
This was arguably my first “horror” film as a kid!

"I can't, it's gonna make me pee" is not something I would think I would hear from Doug.
One of my favorites since I was a young child! We still watch it with the younger family members every year at Halloween!
Oh wow this one really takes me back. I always remembered the scary guy in green glow and the "Boogadie boogadie boogadie boo" thing.
I haven’t seen this since about 1989, but watching the clips made me realize just how much of it is still in my memory.
