Something else you may want to know about these is to have a look at the ground. Check out a video by Caseys Customs to see what issues he had. He found the ground was not done well, so he cut it shorter, and put a better connection to the clamp. That improved the welder exponentially.
If the next one fails like this one, i'll take it apart and dig deeper for sure. I already shipped that one back yesterday. Thanks for the idea
Its copper coated
My ground was getting hot and I notice this same thing ! Mine overheated too but it cooled down it still works I believe …
I Can’t A Single Video Anymore without seeing This Temu Welder Adu
It has a 20% duty cycle, clearly advertised and listed in spec list. This means if you run it for 2 min, it needs an 8 min cool down before using it again. The experienced welder should have known about this idea
this one failed very quickly, if you check my videos i bought a replacement model and used it to replace a panel on my jeep and that one overall worked great. First one was defective for sure.
Well that was interesting. Cant wait for follow up.
Despite your loss, I thank you for your credibility in testing the product and showing the results as they really are.....
I have never seen anything like that. But I also have never ever welded so there's that. lol. Awesome video! would be interesting to see if the replacement dies/burns out too or works better.
If i get another one and it just dies, ill pin a comment on this video. If it lives ill make another review.
Thnx for the video good information here
Honey wake up unbox analysis just uploaded🙏🏽💯
Haha love to hear it!
Love the video! 💜
Thank you!
This is the one i missed. Love the live streams!
Well ya made it to the last one for a bit!
I have a precursor to this thing (oddly enough by Eastwood Kelarc )and it only works at a fixed settng of 50amps no adjustment. Cant easily strike an arc with anything over 2.0mm
I think that is by design for a reason though as the hole to fit the rods is really tight and only 1.6mm fit with any ease
SO looking at some ancient manual images I could see the rods were really thin which kind of confirmed it.
I tried 1.6mm E6013 rods and it worked very well making a few butt welds on very thin metal 0.9mm which is all I needed to test its capability. I dont think I would every do continuous line welds with it. Reduce the size of the rod and time on small jobs and it should be ok although this TEMU one isnt gonna perform any better I am guessing than at THAT level of limited sized rods and amperage. I cant see it being any good for any task where you are welding for long periods of time but Im guessing that was the idea behind its design. Fascinating clip thank you for sharing it!
The enameled copper wire on all windings on all transformers use a section of the wire which is one quarter of the section which is required for the transformer / motor to run continuously.
The consequence of this, you must use the device for 5 minutes, and let it cool for one hour.
Most electric devices coming from "the far east" use a similar scam technique. The next welding machine will fail all the same.
Let it cool overnight, its toast. Less than 5 minutes total welding time and it was all spaced out even in the time it was used.
I would just stick with a buzzbox. The new stick welders are smaller now in design, the size of a lunch box. The size of the head on that unit from temu is also a concern for puddle control. I laughed when I first saw these come out.
That is a LOT of Bird scooters. I'll bet that there is a good backstory there :)
Well its my job lol
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial Stealing bird scooters?
@@supa0ne Would be pretty hard to steal 400 bird scooters and get away wtih it lol, they are all GPS tracked. I am a fleet manager for bird scooters. Dont quite make enough on youtube to replace my full time job haha
Soz.. What I see is the BIBD scooters needing a good fix.. like.. all of them lol.. Am I wrong? I'm not American or Canadian, so I don't know this government branch?
U doubt the glass used for stick welding for hundreds of years, you cant weld stick with normal settings on electric masks.
I doubt that the sticks were in great condition due to humidity effecting the weld quality. Especially since my welds are not great as it is.
Are we not gonna talk about the bird scooter farm in this guys garage?
Thats not many... Theres a couple hundred more you dont see
so does it require 110v input, or does it have a battery? why so much burn thru?
110v, and im not sure, the adjustment didnt seem to be very effective but i didnt get a lot of time to test it overall before it died.
Great video and wounderful friend to lend a hand.
Thats family for ya!
10 minutes is about 9 more minutes then I would have expected lol😂
I really wasnt sure what to expect, part of me thought it would work fine.. part thought it wouldnt work at all.. Once it started working though, i didnt expect it to die that fast.
Mine works Great iv welded alot with it with no Problem at all , couple of guys i know have sinced ordered one after the seen me weld with mine. I also am a Advanced welder for 38 years so that helped also.
"I also am a Advanced welder for 38 years so that helped also"
No you're not. You wouldn't have bought this crap if you were a welder of any sort.
Tell em Bender @@KK19825
To bad it gave out so quickly. I had to buy one for myself to tinker with. Hope it doesn't give out so fast. It looks like it was doing good till it gave out.
Yeah less than ide say 5 total minutes of actual welding time before it died..
Looks like the trouble started when the thicker rod was used or maybe im wrong
Its possible, but make sure to check out the second video, I bought a replacement and it went quite a bit differently!
funny, i reflexively turned my head as the weld started.
Haha not a bad habbit to have!
Great concept. Sadly, the internals probably won't last, even in the replacement.
I had my doubts to begin with. We shall see!
Dude are you a manufacturer or seller of those Bird electric scooters? Aren’t those like the Lyft/Ride share bikes??? This my first time seeing your channel, which I was under the impression is an unboxing/review channel and was genuinely confused seeing that many Electric scooters in the backgrounds.
Haha, Well I am a fleet manager for Bird scooters, I also do a lot of scooter reviews as well!
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial oh sweet! That makes so much more sense, I appreciate you taking the time to share that bit of information with me man. I’ve been considering an electric scooter for traveling to work, so ill definitely have to check out some of your scooter reviews. Have a safe and blessed weekend 💙💯
No he's the best thief in the world
Im hoping that the replacement one is better
We shall see, it might take a bit. Just shipped the other one back today.
harbor freight welders for sure the way to go around here
Yeah ive got my wire welder from harbor freight, had it for YEARS and used it a ton.
I just bought one from TEMU here in Canada for $82. No face shield, 3 J422 electrodes. I'll be using 6013 rods 5/64 or 2mm, to test it soon.
Let me know how it goes, i did make an update video with the new one and it worked really well.
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial Ill look for it . Thankyou
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial Hello. I used a Forney 6013 1/8 or 3.2mm rod for the test. The welder calls for 2.5mm rods max. It welded very clean beads, but since I had the power cranked up to max, it kept tripping the circuit breaker in my fuse panel. But now that I know it works, I will buy some smaller rods and go from there. I bought this for when I am Hunting/camping because I was stranded hours away from home in a very secluded area in North East Ontario where there is no cell phone connection and traffic is as rare as chickens teeth. I am quite happy with its performance.
i thought there was a live stream but this video is nice
Live streams are friday at 9pm eastern!
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial thanks
It's free now!
Got my Shop has one of them and it sucks!
Was it from Temu or somewhere else?
Do you sell those Bird scooters?
No I'm a fleet manager for bird as my main job. I repair them put them out for rent etc
im tripping hard as hell off acid this shit is so fun 2 watch. thanks man
What's with all the scooters
I am a fleet manager for bird scooters as my full time job
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial o ok
I don’t think people should scoot mmkay.
TEMU has those for $10 you got ripped off.
also TEMU is advertising they are giving them away...
The giving away thing is basically a scam, they will ask you to go through questions, then share a special link to a ton of people you know and in the end you likely wont get anything for free. Also after looking the cheapest version of this welder i can find on all of temu is 62$, if you see one for 10 though please send me the link to my Instagram in messages. My insta is in the description of the videos, would love to take a look.
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial will do..
The "Free" works like this. FIrst you pay 90 ish for the welder, then, if you buy another 90 bucks worth of product they will give you a 90 dollar credit on your account to buy more chinese crap. so you pay around 180 bucks for 270 bucks worth of crap. That, to them means the welder was 'free' (sort of like their people are 'free'... sorry couldn't resist, there goes my social cred rating in china.)
@FilmsForActors thanks but I stay away from foreign actors home-based in the U.S.
I almost never comment, love the vids though.
Thanks 3d Prints!
I dont know if i trust a temu welder...
Well.. Mine didnt go so well lol.. I've got another one on order. We will see if it goes any better
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial good luck with that, just have a fire extinguisher ready, just in case. 🤣
@@elifox4454 Already sitting there ready

great video did not this one
Thanks anthony!
coo;
both of u are pretty bad welders 😅
You're not wrong xD
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficiali watched another review, and the weld was flawless. 😅 technique and experience goes a long way. to me it seems like the thing works, just may not last too long.
I agree it was working, until it didnt and it died. Overall the machine did weld just fine, but then smoke came out and it wouldnt turn on anymore @@jashawnwesley9126
The mask is probably the best part!!!😂
Tbh, I'd actually trust a fixed shade over an autodarkener. Honestly, what's going on (or more accurately into) in regard to your retinas during that admittedly super brief propagation delay between arc establishment & full darkening? That said I love my auto darkener, use it all the time. Just wondering if I'm gonna wind up selling pencils from a soup can on a subway platform in the near future... 😎😎😎😎😎😎👨🏻🦯👨🏻🦯👨🏻🦯👨🏻🦯👨🏻🦯👨🏻🦯👨🏻🦯👨🏻🦯
I trust my decent quality auto darkener over a temu fixed shade lol
@@UnboxAnalysisOfficial Point taken, Though I do find it rather curious that you've never seen one of those handhelds. The come with virtually all cheapy units, & some of the mid to high rangers too. Not that I'd ever trust one. Most deffo for Xmas morning or birthday 1st time playtime ONLY.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@bobbofly Well i've only ever purchased two welders ever before this one. An older tombstone welder that i got used, and my harbor freight wire welder. Neither of which came with it. You should be able to tell from my .."welds" that i haven't used them much either ahha
What a scam I seen an ad while watching a video and it came up free you get to t e m u and its $89 what a scam scam for some junk junk but now that I know they're out there I'm going to look for an American brand
Well i did see some other tubers review them and they had no issues, plus Temu refunded me without question and paid for return shipping. So there is a chance i just got a dud. I will be ordering another one in the near future
