Agree Sabres definitely need a top 4 D man either via trade or UFA like Mayfield, Graves, Gudas , Dumba Logan Stanley ( rfa but will be ufa if not offered a contract ) or Soucy. Also a veteran goalie( Gibson Hart Andersen) would be welcomed as UPL had a chance to prove himself last year but he was too inconsistent. A PK specialist would be nice too as the Sabres PK was BRUTAL last season but with the resigning of Okposso & Girgenson i cant see that happening. I hope Im wrong but i have a feeling Adams is going to stand pat on his teams lineup from last year and this will hurt them in the next season when it comes to a playoff spot. Thanks for the video .
I disagree. I do not believe that adding an older, slower D-Man would improve the defense overall. It is my belief that the Sabres will mature defensively as a unit and if they need to add a people, they will add either from within, as the Johnson signing indicates, or another young D they can trade for that will grow with the other guys, say Xhekaj. As for the PK, it was foolish for the Sabres to let Peca and Webber go to other teams from. It is not the need for a player so much as the system. I like Ellis as a coach, but I am not sure he is really the PK solution.
I agree with most of Ray Ferraro said. The one thing I'll say, I don't think there should have to be a forced induction every year, only when a player warrants it.
I agree with a lot of stuff Ray says regarding the HHOF. I do wonder if changes needed to be made regarding the number of players that can make it per year, or perhaps, every 5 years (eg 2025, 2030, etc.) an extra person, regardless of category, can be added in. There is clearly a backlog of talent that should be in, but haven't made the cut
