Active Self Protection Guns don’t kill people, people kill people, proven here. The gun didn’t just start shooting, isn’t that crazy!? Love your show John, thank you for what you do.
The partner was auditioning for the Darwin Award.
Maria Camilla Thiago So you’re telling me, if a house was empty of people, and contained guns/bullets, knives and ropes, and you walked in, you’d get killed? Makes sense.
This was on the news in my hometown a while back. It was shocking not only because of the situation, but because this type of thing is not AT ALL common for the area. The area is generally very low crime. I think the home owner does a great job with the 5 D's though. ruclips.net/video/1dsLuL5Lvbc/видео.html
What are the statistics of a repeat invasion now they know that there are firearms there for the taking?
Imagine trying to rob a house and kicking the door open to find an AR-15 pointed at you. lmao
Then imagine getting killed cause I'm not as nice as this guy.
I think there's a video of that somewhere.

Back in college the apartment I was in had an invasion. One roommate heard the door getting kicked in and confronted the burglars. There were 3 devils. They attacked my roommate viciously. I retrieved my AR which also, stupidly, had only 5 rounds in the magazine. (Never again.) The devils saw the AR and couldn't get out the door fast enough. But one was drunk and went to his pickup and grabbed his 30-30 and returned bellowing "no on pulls a gun on me!" His buds were trying to stop him. But this gave time for the cops to show up. Just as the guy with the lever rifle was coming through my front door again the cops lit him up with a spotlight. Long story short, him and his 2 buds went to jail, charged with felony breaking and entering and assault with grievous bodily injury. They plead guilty and got some serious time. That was in Utah in the 80's. Ever since then, my AR has a full 30 round mag in it.
how many more times have you had to use it in the last 40 years
@@chrischristopher1312
None. But it leans against my nightstand every night, and is locked up in the safe when I head to work. I open carry a Beretta 92F or carry a S&W 642 38 Special concealed when I'm out & about. Held a jackass at bay with the Beretta once when my neighbor called and told me someone broke into my garage. When I pulled up he was in process of removing my garage refrigerator. I ordered him onto his knees and he stayed there till deputies arrived. It's good to be able to take care of things and not be a victim.
Hell yea
@@Lily-gs9iv
Yes. I'm a guy. Thanks for the compliment.
@@chrischristopher1312 Are you implying that he doesn't need it because he hasn't had to use it since then? Because he needed it 40 years ago, and he had it. Only difference now is that he has more than just 5 rounds in the mag, which may have not been enough if his attackers decided to fight instead of flee.
You don't stop wearing a seatbelt just because you haven't gotten into a car crash in 40 years. The 41st year could be the year you get into a wreck, but when it happens you can't buckle your seatbelt fast enough to correct your mistake.

I wouldn’t advise the guy with no weapon going into the hallway that part was pretty dumb.
Besides he got muzzled.
The dumber part is that he get in the line of fire. He seem to have a death wish or something.

Pretty decent mule kick from the perp to get the door open. I'm gonna guess he's done that before.
Well, when you force a deadbolted door, either the lockset rips out of the door or (more likely) the door jam fails and the bolt rips through the door frame. (You get that failure when the deadbolt is incorrectly installed and does not extend into the stud.) Either way, you don't just give it a little kick and pop it open; it takes a sledge hammer. Yeah, I can break it open, but it'll be spectacular and will wake up the whole place. You'll have 20 of your neighbors calling the police... and the police were never called.
The reason *that* door popped open so easily is because it had a device inserted to keep the bolt retracted. Run the tape and watch... you can see it fall as the perp kicks the door. It's staged.
@@stevensmith5503 look at the door, the deadbolt is out. The door jam failed at the deadbolt, seriously doubt it's staged. And I've been a cop and done breaching training. Yes it's much easier with a sledge, but these crappy apartment doors aren't tough. You can absolutely mule kick one in a single go, I've done it.
@@MeerkatADV Nonsense! That's a steel door. It was sold and installed with the jam. Had the deadbolt been thrown: 1) nobody would have kicked it open from a stationary kick and 2) had they kicked it open, there would have been a BIG shower of splinters; the shock would have resonated through the walls of the building, 20 people would have reported a bomb, and three would have reported a UFO.
To kick a door open, you start from 20' to 30' back and get your body moving... and you *really* hope the door gives. You only kick doors open in Hollywood.
But, besides the obvious staged antics, the dead give away is that there wasn't ever a police report. Why do you think the local Omaha news isn't carrying any mention of it? They'll tell you if you ask them (I did); they, also, think it's staged.
You gun loons would believe *any* damn thing.
@@stevensmith5503 Steel door huh? That why you can see the footprint in the door from the guy kicking it?
As for the rest of what you said, what a complete load of bullshit. ruclips.net/video/DywKtcZkE9w/видео.html go to 40 seconds in and tell that firefighter how he should have gotten a 30 foot run up to boot that door in. I've trained on how to breach various types of doors using everything from a swift kick to det cord, you're so far out of your lane you can't even see the highway from here.
@@stevensmith5503 and here we have a pretend expert who thinks that there is some universal security standard for front doors that is actually enforced. cheap apartments with cheap shitty old doors bro. probably installed by the illegal maintenance manager out of old, spare parts. homeowners are stupid and often don't even throw the deadbolt. Go watch a video of cops breaching a door, they use a ram they don't back up and run at it. You anti-gun racists would believe *any* damn thing.
He definitely pulled the trigger twice, you can hear 2 clicks as soon as the door was kicked in. Probably had safety on still.
He most certainly did. I don't know why the rounds didn't go off. He might have forgot to pull the charging handle or something but it's as clear as can be. I don't know how John missed that.
I don't think so. There was another double clicking sound, then another knock a few seconds later. Was someone hammering something outside? The homeowner didn't seem to react like there had been a failure to fire.
@@TheMMSpiritI agree, you only get one click if the chamber is empty, or there’s a malfunction, then “tap, rack, boom” this isn’t the movies were the bad guy is slapping that trigger and you hear “click, click, click”

And, ladies and gentlemen, that’s how you abruptly end a home invasion.
Mike M sadly most of the times it’s picking up the home owner.
@@chrisg2739 Unfortunately, I have to agree. Do you carry at home, Chris?
Kotha Elser not on me unfortunately. We all get to feeling too safe in our houses. I do have weapons stashed in every room though but it would be a foot race to equip myself.
I feel bad for the homeowner
I’m sure his carpet was ruined
PatRiot guys were slipping in their own shit getting out of there. I’m trying to figure out what the clicks were
Kicking down my door YEAH THATS A HALLWAY TEMPERATURE CHALLENGE!!
That man has a lot of self control…cause he had every right to make that intruder into confetti
It only makes the news when it makes the gun look bad. Having said that, he practiced more restraint than I probably would have
If it had been me, The second he kicked my door open, I would have squeezed the trigger in NANO SECONDS and popped open his head like a watermelon killing him instantly at the door. The only reason they did not get hurt from this home invasion was because of that GUN. If not, mostly they would have been killed or bad hurt and other things.
@camjamsdad you see, this is why houses should be built with bricks and not wood.
Ya that door coming in and i would have shot at least three rounds, I dont want them coming back for more when im asleep and i would sleep easier at night with em dead.
@camjamsdad I saw the door across the hall as well. Then they exit through an exterior door, so I am thinking apartment or townhouse setup. He showed excellent restraint by not firing. The guy was not in the house (apartment, condo, townhouse or whatever) at that moment. He put one foot inside and saw the gun and ran. The guy inside probably knew he couldn't legally take the shot and claim it as defense with him being on the doorstep.
The bad guys ran away so fast that their poop hadn’t even hit the floor before they left!
They left the police a trail to follow.
His buddy runs out like a clown
“Prepared defender” had 5 rounds in his AR haha
The brother showed tremendous restraint defending himself without discharging his firearm.
He literally pulled the trigger twice and realized he didn't even have one in the chamber. Which to anyone with knowledge would know your at your weakest point.
ramesh anand no that wasn’t restraint that was weakness
@@FlyLikeRedBull he didnt, look at his finger its not pulling the trigger
TotallyNotOffending u can hear it click he tries to
@@reggieisepic thats the door, the guy doesnt pull the trigger watch closely
If he would’ve pulled the trigger they would know exactly where the bad guys are. As it stands now the police are “still looking for them”.
It sounded like he did click the trigger, you can here multiple clicks but no fire, Mabye he didn’t pull the charging handle? Or saftey was on?
No body is looking for them.
They always make stupid mistakes so they'll get caught.
@@johnnylego807 Then you have no idea how an AR-15 works. an empty AR-15 would only make ONE click. then it would need to be racked to reset the hammer.
If the safety was on you would have heard ZERO clicks.... it isn't a cap gun, and it isn't a double action revolver... it is a single action semi automatic firearm.
Please, educate yourself on common firearms function. It is very important for the safe handling and maintenance of such items.
@@bobbyd9583 Mabye mine isn’t lubed well but everytime I click the trigger it makes a click. Hammer flies forward, And I’d hope id know how they work. I’m not saying you are wrong, but there is an obvious set of multiple clicks, *in the video*, not saying it’s guaranteed from the firearm, but sure sounds like it. All it was, was an observation. But I appreciate the info as this was an older post I forgot about. Also his gun May have had the saftey on, and if there is wiggle room in his lower he may have forced as hard as he could to press the trigger, it wouldn’t pull, but it might make a small click if loose enough everytime he tries to pull.
Lol he kicked the door like a horse and ran like on too when he saw that juice cannon XD props to this owner for not having trigger anxiety
John, good job on this advertisement!
Apparently the guy in the blue shirt doesn't watch John vids ...
ROFL
I keep my gun on my person even when I'm sitting at home
Me too it's the best way to stay ready with one in the head
As well you should, my friend! When I get home, I stage my carry pistol in a drawer and switch over to my sub-compact 9mm with a small IWB holster. It's small enough to be comfortable and light enough it doesn't pull my jammie pants down. ;)
He know the law and he’s a nice guy
My dude walked back to the room smooth for the strap lmao 😂
Imagine opening the door to see an AR trained on you already.
*VATS intensifies*
20 mins from my home. Stuff becomes real when it's right around the corner.
Neil Huston about 5 years ago we had some bad guys busting doors down and robbing houses during the day. 6 houses down, 2 streets over and so on. I work from home so I ended up taking my security very seriously. It changes your outlook for sure.
Be aware of your surroundings... Punks casing the neighborhood... Wearing all black at night with a backpack for their tools. Remember they enter your domain kill those assholes.
I lived in Newtown when sandy hook when down...a hail storm of media and helicopters. Never thought I'd see the day
Or, as in this case at your front door.
It’s pure joy to see that criminal arise from his kick in only to be greeted by an angry resident pointing a loaded AR at him.
An excellent example of why you should replace all door screws with at least 3" screws that pass through the door frame and into the studs.
Well done. He stayed in control and calm as well and did not risk the neighbors lives.
No coffee or snacks available here just bullets. Boy bye!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cracking up on this one lol lol
Hilarious man
I give the guy an A+ for self control. At my place he would have took a DIRT NAP.
Oh no. The minute that door was open that fool would have been perforated.
