I'm seeing $10k off on a lot of left over 2023 Chargers and Challengers. There still way too overpriced.
Agreed!! Same here - feel like prices need to drop more
Still Not enough… scats need to go back to 38 to 46 for widebody… Hellcats 53 to 60 tops…
@@williamrose7818 I could not agree more. That’s where they need to be to get my interest again.
There are several new and fairly well-optioned NB Hellcat Challengers on Autotrader for 15k+ off MSRP. I'm also seeing a lot that were listed 200+ days ago. I'm curious if sitting that long does any damage, considering they are exposed to the elements and likely not being driven.
Yes great point - sitting that long “baking in the sun” as we say, exposed them to lot damage and weather damage. That said, you can leverage that to drive a discount.
December 2019 was my 1st Scat Pack. Narrow body, pretty basic. $42k msrp and paid $31k. Then 1 year later I bought a widebody with the plus group and it was $52k. Then the 3rd one that I don't need to go into.
Lol the Bidenflation is insane!!
@@GuysTalkingCars No doubt. But don't get me started. Cause I will. LOL
I absolutely hate those cloth seats. That's the biggest reason I traded for the 2020.
I am still perplexed with the cloth low grade Rental car seats as well. Shouldn’t even be an option
Agreed
@@shanetipton4345 And there not only ugly but slippery. You slide all over while cornering.
I swapped mine out for leather.
Just swap them out. Or have them done over. You'll come out spending less anyway
Over here on the East Coast DMV area, I got my Challenger widebody scat for 55,680 plus tax tags title, doc fees loaded minus Sunroof for 61k otd brand new 11 miles on the clock, MSŔP Was 62,580, I'm satisfied.....
New subscriber. Great video. Looking at new 2023 Challenger Redeye Widebodies. Cheapest i came across was 4.5K over MSRP. Others insane ADM's. Sure seems with these cars. These dealers rather them sit and not sell them. Then give a reasonable discount. Thinking these will be highly collectible and sort after. Very unlikely.
Thank you much appreciated! Glad to have you as a part of the channel. Yeah it’s really a weird market. These higher trims just aren’t getting any real discounts. 4K over is better than most I’ve seen. Surprised they even have a Redeye - none left here in the Bay Area.
I drove my R/T 5.7 home and I LOVE IT! I STILL love it even after 5yrs. I've done test drives in Scat Packs and they are not all the same. The 1320 is a very stiff ride, the T/A is a little stiffer than the regular Scat Pack.
I've seen a price on a dealer website that got me in the dealership and when they wrote up a sales ticket they started at $10K higher than the web price. They started with the actual MSRP.
Crazy - don’t understand why they think we are stupid lol
I was in the market for a Widebody Scat Pack Challenger (must haves: 6-spd, Frostbite (or F8 Green or Octane Red), Widebody, and Plus package) and had been watching the used market (because the market for a new one--particularly the widebodies--has been outrageous for the past 2+ years). We all remember as recently as a year ago, the used ones were nearly the same price as the new ones--sometimes more! ???! Since then, the used market has come down substantially. (I went with a 2021 w/11k miles for $45k.) For Scat Packs and Hellcats--particularly widebodies--if you can accept a low-mileage used one instead of a brand new one, that might be the way to go right now.
Great advice - sounds like you made out ok. Congrats! What color did you settle on?
@@GuysTalkingCars, thanks! I found one in my top color, Frostbite. My icon photo is the actual car (from one of the dealer's ads 🙂). In addition to my "must haves", this one also has the driver convenience group, the technology group, the carbon/suede package and the Harman Kardon stereo. I was pretty happy!
@@DoctorHemi amazing 🤩
Everyone has been extra greedy, shame on Dodge also for jacking up MSRPs
Agreed
An outstanding presentation. Super informative!!
Thank you glad you enjoyed
Car edge is not saying it is a good time to buy. They are saying to wait until memorial day
Problem is though there’s a lot now , people are buying so supply is gonna go down
Looking for a narrow body Dodge Challenger Scat Pack, love a Shaker but have no idea when a good time is to buy a 23’ or a 20-22 under 10k miles used.
Should be able to find some values on used models out there - but overall for those higher trims our feeling is May-June timeframe is gonna be heavy discounts and promotions on new, finally forcing some price drops that make sense.
I bought a brand new Challenger GT last month at $5700 under MSRP. I have since regretted not going with the RT for that V8 sound! The same dealership is currently offering the RT at $8000 below MSRP ($3000 less than last month). I really want to trade-in my GT, even though I would take a huge loss. Do you guys think I should pull the trigger? I could wait longer, but my GT would simultaneously be losing trade-in value as the prices continue to drop 😅
Ugh - tough call. Since you just bought it maybe hang tight and see what discounts come in April - then maybe start chatting up a few dealers. If they wanna move a car they may be willing to work a deal that doesn’t leave you too much in a hole.
@@GuysTalkingCars It would not be a tough call for me. Do not throw away $10,000 + for the V8 sound. Unless you drive like a maniac, 300 hp is enough and the GT is not nearly as popular with car thieves as anything with a Hemi. You can also slap yourself on the back and celebrate every time at the gas pump that you only have to pay for regular gas. If you need the sound of the V8, go listen to it on RUclips. It's free (and you might as well listen to a Scat Pack instead, also free).
I wouldn’t for just rt, maybe a hellcat
Those are still higher than listings I've seen.
I am in the Bay Area as well. Have you look at the Dodge dealers in SoCal? If you look online they are giving $10,000 -$12,000 off a Charger SXT and Charger GT. Is $15,000 off a new 2023 Charger R/T a good deal? I am still waiting for a dealer to offer that. The best deal I have seen is $10,000 off a green Charger R/T with MSRP $51,335.
Hey a local!! Right on 🔥 Yeah good call we have - but have also heard they play a lot of shenanigans down there. We agree - waiting for the $15k ish discount to make things really really attractive . Feels like $35k or even $37k is max where a reasonably equipped RT should be. I just bought my 22 still on the lot a few months back and paid $38k after 10k off.
Really good breakdown. These dealerships are really forcing people to look elsewhere for a fun performance car.
💯 they are!!!
Just saw a pre-owned 2023 hellcat redeye at dealership dropped from $410989 to $328000!!! OMG!
A brand new Mercedes S63 AMG is a lot more cheaper !!!
Are you kidding me??? OMG go buy an exotic for that!
Stellantis is offering $1000 cash off a 60K Challenger Scat Pack in April. That is absolutely nothing. The dealers with better advertised discounts take that discount back with $1200 documentation fee, Nitrogen, Window tinting they require you to pay for, They also bake into their advertised discounts rebates you may not qualify for like military and first responder then add that back into the price. In general these scat pack challengers are not being discounted much
Totally agree - well said. A lot of these discounts are nothing yet. Wait it out - June should see something much better
Like Jared I with I would have just kept my 2019. To think I paid over $5k more for a Camry TRD.
Totally insane! $33k for a Scatpack. 😩
@@GuysTalkingCars Yeah. I got mine for $31k at the end of 2019.
I just picked up a 2023 RT plus with $14k off
Wow!! Amazing congrats!! Where was this at?
@@GuysTalkingCars Central Florida Chrysler Jeep Dodge
Yeah, December 2024 the time of but not right now
Brand new challenger RT’s for $28,000 in Florida.
Fantastic - Can you share a link? Definite value on RT and below trims right now!
@@GuysTalkingCars I found them on Autotrader. I’m in Michigan. They’re $32,000 in the Detroit area. I might just have to get on a plane to save that $5,000 in Florida.
@@GuysTalkingCarsI found them on autotrader in Miami, Florida.
I’d say late this year, early next year, the deals will get a little sweeter, the interest rates need to come down too
Agreed. For lower trims the May/June time frame is gonna create a lot of pressure on dealerships and with it probably some Memorial Day / summer discounts better than what we are seeing. Upper trims dealerships likely to hold out as long as they can.
I’m trying to get an RT with at least the plus package for 37k hope I find one!
I got one for $39k today RT plus
Is 52k for 2023 challenger scat pack fully loaded wide body a good deal ? Any advice?
I think that’s a pretty good price - brand new?
@@GuysTalkingCars 5k miles …. I seen prices all over the place here in the communist state of California.
@@josorzo11 😂 comifornia indeed!! If you could get brand new for 3 or 4K more would that sway you? Because I think prices are close to going there
They are $48k in Fl
They raised the prices so high they are putting themselves out of business the next thing to go will be fast food places they’re doing the same thing the car dealers are doing
Yep. I’m not sure the Dodge brand can survive !!
I paid 55,000 for my scat pack 2020
Good reference point - sounds about right. Still seeing these from mid 60s to $70k. Ridiculous
If anything Dodge makes were given to me free of charge I would return that garbage. There is a reason Dodge is lowering their prices. They are junk.
Lol
A Dodge? No, Never.
Lol
Car edge says stuff just for clicks everything they say is over exaggerated big time
Dodge is Dead
You may be right!! They are doing everything to kill this brand.
