I also checked all the boxes and thought I was doing all by the book but after six years of marriage and two kids ( age 2 & 4), my husband became an atheist (post getting his psychology degree from a secular university), and walked out of our family. I was in my early 20s and my whole world crumbled. That was 21 years ago. The Lord Jesus became my husband and problem solver. Through the years I learned to depend on Him and walk with Him. People around would question how I managed, but that is because they didn’t have Jesus. The kids are grown and established now, but not because I succeeded but because Jesus was the leader of my family. I never remarried or date. Last year, one evening in my mind I wondered back into the pain of the past just for a moment. Quickly realizing this I shrugged the thought and got busy getting ready for bed. That night in a dream, Lord Jesus Himself told me that He is my husband and I felt great joy that lasted several days. Praise Jesus

My son and daughter are 4 & 1, I’m 26 and their father my husband left me for an affair partner with whom he has a son 2 years old, I found out about him a month and 4 days after outdaughter was born last June 7th 2022.
It has been my prayer that the Lord be my husband and lead me as I don’t have a physical one. Your words are so soothing to my soul because I only care about my children growing up to still be God honoring, fearing and loving.
That they stand out differently and I just keep thinking only Jesus can and also for contentment even if it means staying by my self

I cried so much when she mentioned praying the hardest prayer….”God, let your will be done” I’ve been separated since late September 2022, a few days before my 9yr wedding anniversary. I’m currently going through divorce as a result of his infidelity. Gods will is sometimes hard because we think we know what we need. But truth is, He knows so much better. After I prayed that same prayer, God revealed to me so many things he had been doing behind my back for years. All while coming home to me and our two young kids every day. Even after the betrayal and initial heartbreak….I must say honoring God is still worth it. My latter days will be greater. The best truly is yet to come. Amen.

Currently in the middle of a divorce. It’s like all of a sudden you’re married to a stranger. The part where you mention you take on the identity of a wife… you’re in it til death. Really resounded with me. It’s been tough to disentangle from that identity.
I completely relate to her. My story is the same! I was completely blindsided. I’m week 2 into my healing. I was willing to do anything to make it work. I thought I was doing everything right. Dedicated to the Lord, praying and attending church. Reading my word and praying daily for my husband. How did this happen to me? I feel as if this isn’t my life.

Within a few years she became quite wealthy. Then, her X returned. He'd been dumped for a younger model. Said, leaving her was the biggest mistake of his life. She replied: I know but thanks anyway. 😂🎉

I'm going through an agonizing divorce. I'm having to do this alone while he has an aggressive attorney hitting me with filings at every turn. The thought of losing my girls eats at me daily. When you know that you've done what you're supposed to do in this situation... Praying... Interceding for their salvation... Fasting when they are sick... Forgiving over and over knowing I'm hated is just too much to bear at times. I just pray the Lord's will with everything and try to keep pursuing peace till this is over. Prayers to everyone going through a difficult divorce. May God grant us all the strength to keep going. And extra comfort and peace over involved children.🙏🙏🙏

Iam divorced too. God doesn't prevent you from marrying a wrong person. We meet people in our lives for a purpose. Don't question God. Don't blame you. Reflect back see what you did not check well. Christians often are naive thinking that because they go to church, pray everything is supposed to be smooth because God is in it without even checking or confirming whether God is really in him.

The way ex-husband told me he couldn’t do it anymore, the lies and betrayal, the cries out to God, and all my feelings throughout the process. Amazing testimony💝 I married a man I was told by God was the man of his choice! I had amazing prophecy spoken over him & I had zero doubt! He cheated multiple times was mentally abusive, cruel beyond words &nearly broke me! I ended the marriage & I was angry with God for years & walked away but the 2 boys we had created became Christians as teens & brought me back to God! So painful but beautiful & now I have no regrets & I’ve forgiven my ex husband & I’m back 💯 with Jesus ❤️

God wouldn’t tell you to marry a man that would be abusive. Sometimes we think we hear from God because it’s the answer we want it to be.
God is not a God of confusion or destruction. However, God turned good out of this situation by bringing your boys to their salvation.

The prophecy was more than one & all came from church so I was terribly hurt & confused but just before we married my husband gave his life to Christ & was transformed but it only lasted 3 months. He got very drunk & literally switched overnight to becoming abusive! I guess God gave him a chance but he blew it! I pray he comes back to God one day!🙏
Thank you for your beautiful message. I was married for 10 years and just short of our wedding anniversary my ex wife said she wants a divorce. First blaming me for everything but later she says that she has met someone else. The affair did not bother me but it the actual discard by her that nearly broke me. I just realised that the harder life becomes, the more I pray. God removes people from your life for a reason.I have done lots of soulsearching and it is difficult to confront yourself. I’ve been thru a similar story. Rejection is so painful, especially when you still love that person. But I total y believed God had a bigger plan.
When we’ve been broken I believe God can mold us and use us more for his glory. I too was a Christian. This was a life changing time in my life.
It was so hard for so long. I cried all the time. I remembered once that there was one day that I did not cry . It was about 30 days into it. And that was the start of healing. God has been faithful to me.

Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for me; even till now I earn monthly through passive income. This was the first video that came up on RUclips feed when I finally decided to sit down today and eat my lunch. Clarissa’s story started out like mine, and it changed because I didn’t honour God with my body and life. So for me, now that I’ve turned my life around these last 4 years, then to go through a separation right now in my life, I know I’m reaping what I’ve sowed. But it still hurts. The pain is unbearable at times, and I’ve gone back to old self-destructive habits. God wanted me to hear her story today! I needed to hear it! He is telling me to wake up and Get up! And then rest in His arms and grieve well. I wish I could hug Clarissa and thank her for sharing her story and trusting in the Lord. What an amazing example. My mom suffered a painful divorce from my dad, and never stopped trusting in the Lord. However, she never got over my dad and blamed herself, even though he was the one cheating and emotionally abusing her. Anyway, thank you for your ministry. God is Good! I’m so blessed to see this video. 😢😢. I recently went through a divorce after being a Military wife for 20 years. Very Similar story I’m 39 and I am also a Pastors Daughter who waited until marriage and gave my spouse my all. We have 2 boys and unfortunately 20 years of marriage he wanted a new start. I found myself left in another state away from home raising 2 kids alone. I made the choice to stand on the word of God and stand on his promises! I’m so greatful for this video because I wanted to make a video just like this to support all our Military wives that go through this right before retirement! Unfortunately this is common before the Military member retires. I am just like you it doesn’t make sense, but again God provided everything for me through this divorce and it’s freeing! I stand on the word my latter days will be better then my former days. I am returning to school to become a Teacher as I serve in my community and my church. Youth is my heart! My ex husband did the same thing... And it ended up that he was cheating....God allowed me to see evidence and physical proof of infidelity! I was a virgin when I was married too and unfortunately there are many many evil men out there that will go very far to just obtain a notch on his bed post, including lying, manipulation, love bombing, and even marrying someone. Going through a divorce changes you as a woman and makes you rock solid,makes you rely on the one Rock who won't ever leave!!!!! Aloha Clarissa! A few days ago, my divorce from a 33 year marriage became official. I also had a spouse that cheated and didn't want to fight for our marriage and family. What I've learned from your testimony is that it doesn't matter how long you were married because betrayal, abandonment, and distrust, universally hurt EVERYONE (you do NOT have to be married to experience the pain from these three). Listening to your testimony almost mimicked mine. I could feel the pain in your heart and soul of each memory you recounted. I am SOOO proud of you for choosing Christ over the "other side" when you were faced with that decision. I admire your faithfulness and now are experiencing the fruits of it. Our God is a Good God! Wow, your story sounds so much like my own, even down to the way he proposed. I have been through some hard times in my life, but divorce was the most painful. It was not just a divorce of a person, but of hopes, dreams, family, friends, home, lifestyle, goals....everything. You feel like such a failure. The person that vowed to love, honor and cherish you is now saying I don't ever want to see you again and I don't care what happens to you. When we got married, we both agreed to spend the rest of our lives together, but in divorce, it was one of us deciding for both of us. Boy can I relate to your story. So many similarities and the lies and deep betrayal. Your thoughts afterward matched mine-how another woman is living in my house with my husband, and how you checked all the boxes and did everything right-yet here you are in a sea of hurt with your world turned upside down. Sigh. Lies, betrayal, cheating, choosing another woman over you when you are his WIFE. It’s a lot to endure. It’s pain like no other, and we never think that’ll be us.
Love the analogy of the signatures, and of God having signed for you with His blood🩸and that will never change.

I've been divorced since 2004. Oh my, I can resonate with her story so much only that God showed me in a dream. I was never one to have dreams as the one He shared with me one night. I believe it was a dream of preparation. I walked through the valley of the shadow of death watching my dreams and hopes tattered. God has been and is faithful. My heart was healed, and I have lived a life as if a divorce never happened. God is faithful.

I've been thru 2 divorces and a few broken relationships. My heart has been crushed and yet God does heal. This is spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6. Unprecedented warfare. We really need to know these things. Love and marriage is risky. Pair up with a strong, grounded believer.
You probably have a soul tie and I'm not condemning you at all. I pray you heal quickly. Get busy to share the gospel and feed the sheep. Life will be more fulfilling. Allow the Lord to be your matchmaker and learn about warfare.
Whew!!! I definitely can relate; I just went through everything she went trough these past few months resettling with God because I was a church girl married a virgin etc I was rebellious and slowly started journaling and forcing myself to pray and God it’s now I’m taking care of myself etc. in this case I was the one who had to file because I was in a abusive marriage, always getting threatened by the husband I was with the rage lashing out calling me names so disgrace for years telling me to leave constantly that I should be out of his life etc every time he was angry and then he apologized over and over for the same thing. I found out he was cheating on me with his coworker for the last 2 year of marriage. When I ask he told me it was none of my business and owe me no explanation. That was the sentence that gave me the courage to leave the toxic marriage I was in. I felt like I was going to die there but God didn’t allow that to happen….. praise God for your testimony
Beautiful testimony! Send him a sympathy card cause he lost. He will search all over the world an never find another you. Lord have mercy. This made me cry because I was cheated on for 10 years until I got the courage to let go and it was the best decision ever. I felt like he took life from me but I gained so much more every since. ❤❤

I went through a divorce and I was so hurt & turned to GOD asked GOD to heal me so I can do his work & live for him 100%! I wanted to be whole mentally. I told GOD I’m no good hurt, broken, and GOD did it immediately after I prayed that over me!
Thank you for your testimony. I am still legally married to a man who has completely destroyed our 40 years marriage. Last nail in the coffin was the woman he cheated with called me under his phone number and when I answered he was having the most vilest sex conversation with her. She set the call up so I could hear them but she muted my phone. When I confronted my husband, he completely blamed her and took no responsibility for what he did. Talking to him is a waste of time. I realize now that he is a narcissist of the worst kind. I prayed for God to direct me how to proceed. I have kids who will be financially impacted if I file for a divorce. God has removed the pain from my heart. I now live 1,100 miles from this man. I pray for God to direct me in His Will and give me peace. I now reflect on my life and can see how God has been with me. I now understand that this man has been cheating for 40 years. I am in my 60’s, retired, and was so worried as to how things would work out, but God has made a way for me to be away from the situation and this miserable man as well as kept my finances together. I now live in peace in one of our beautiful homes and he is running the streets at 69 years old being the best old fool he can be. God is good.

I went through the same exact thing. I too did everything right and ended up with the same type of man. I’m so much better off without him. My life is free of betrayal and dishonesty. I prayed for it to work too and that was not to be. My ex chose to exercise his will and leave God and our marriage. I have so much peace without him. Stay focused and continue doing good. Married at 56 and only three years in to my faith, my wife left me only eight months in to our marriage and never returned. I now live alone as a married man and have no idea what my wife is doing. And it transpires that she is a covert, passive aggressive narcissist. I have said my prayer many times; ‘Your will be done’ and my life and future is completely in my Fathers hands. I was all in and married to someone who never was… I had to unlearn so many “biblical truths” to understand my marriage is actually abusive. He also cheated and that betrayal cut so deep. Oh my gosh! Thank you for this! So much sounded like what I’m dealing with. And I’m 61! This is my 2nd marriage & my ex died in 2014. That hurt so bad but what I’m going through now is hurting SO much. He said he just doesn’t love me anymore. I asked God the same things… please save my marriage… please let me know what to do & even HOW to pray. Do I pray for a miracle or is this really over? All those feelings you explained too… God, you knew this would happen, do I close the door, do I keep fighting? But ya… he said he’s done. And I honestly don’t know what I did & I asked & asked. Thank you!! I needed your testimony!! I can relate i married as a virgin, my first real boyfriend, my first kiss, my first holding of hands. A few days into our marriage there was verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. At tge time didn't have the courage to leave because we had just had a beautiful church wedding with all our church family, friends and relatives. Hiw could i let all those people down, plus God hates divorce, those were the words in my head. But it just got worse, soon git pregnant and the abuse increased. Got bad counseling from my pastor and his wife, they also continue to say God hates divorce. To make this awful story short he went to jail for less than 24hrs twice. We separated for almost three years, got back together for another 11 years and during that time no more physical abuse but definitely verbal abuse. From all the stress my body gave up and i lost my vision on my right eye. I finally moved out in 2023, been separated a year, he finally served me with divorce papers, and at the same time wants to reconcile. We have two kids, the separation has been hard on them . What does a mother do for the happiness of her children???

Hey,my sister and brother in christ me i stayed for 7 yrs in fornicating life and we get married as we start living within a months we divorced i cried to God not for my hus go to other girl but abt restoring my life with God again u know what God says to me "he is the one who u trust left u not me" 😢😢 then he just married to non Christian girl but me just focus on God the best thing i saw is God is always with ppl who are broken so for 3yrs God literally discipled me....then change my life turn around ......God will not involve in our sinful life we may act like nothing happened and like God agree with us nop we should repent .....we sacrifice for it so be honest with God within your pain his voice will be clear.Guys i tried to make long story short but my advice for young ppl God is concerned who we marry and also how to live.thank you sister for sharing.

I was the same saved myself for my husband, was a good old fashioned girl. Did not go against god/my faith. And he did the same left me for another divorced mother at my children’s school. I’m over it now, I’m still healing though, and working on myself. I totally understand what you went through. I’m so glad you turned it all around into a positive. People who go against god never prosper, they will be their own undoing. Leave it to god to handle them. She did everything right ❤ and it takes two to make a marriage.
And there is free will and we live in a fallen world. So the husband is the one that went off the path. And though the marriage ended, rejection is protection. And she’s right, a loss is a gain. She could have stayed and settled and took more damage as the husband cheated more and caused more damage.
But God has a plan! And we have to “walk by faith even when we can’t see the staircase in front of us…” (quote: Martin Luther king).

As I’m watching this i keep thinking of this.. as Christians many believe that by doing things God HAS to reward us. That by going into marriage as a Virgin we are somehow exempt from trials and tribulations and suffering in marriage, or being a pastor’s kids gives you a free pass from life’s struggles.. And we hold these things like a “badge” Like God is transactional. And im glad God has mercy on us and loves us even when we don’t understand, and waits on us to open our eyes to the true revelation of His sacrifice

I’m not married, but I’ve been with my boyfriend for 8 years, and one day out of the blue, he said he wants to focus on his personal development and he wants to separate. When you talked about the reason that your husband wants to divorce, it hit me, because that’s exactly what my ex boyfriend said to me. You know what, these men don’t even know what they want, they constantly chasing a fantasy future. People like that won’t go too far trust me, cuz they don’t have this mindset and sense of responsibility.

God intervened in my life big time when I went through my divorce.
That verse you mentioned.
"God is closed to the broken hearted and those crushed in spirit!"
I believe it was because sometimes God knows that person was no longer good for you, like they may be hindering the person or purpose he has for you.
He intervened in my life in so many ways when I went through my divorce.
He drew me back to him ...not that I am any more special than anyone else, but as He tells us , he has a plan for each of us .
I now have such a closer walk and relationship with the Lord today.
There is a reason and a time for everything
God does just what he says he will do. And the you can always trust in Him.

I’m here with you. I trusted this man with everything I had, and he was talking to women every time I went on a business trip. Never would’ve suspected it because he was that good of a liar. Fooled me and everyone I love. His family was shocked to hear of his affairs too. Praying that god will heal me and also praying he finds Jesus.
