First of all, props to Gosia for agreeing to do this while being filmed. I think she did very well overall and is clearly a very safe driver - just a few small things that I'm sure you'll both iron out before test day, plus plenty more parallel park practice. A couple of observations: - I did feel for her getting a major fault for the traffic lights just after the roundabout. Think she got a bit flustered by your recommending to her that she use the right lane and was so focussed on that and making sure there wasn't a vehicle to her left when coming off the roundabout and merging that she just didn't see the light change in time. - The speed on the country road that got her a major fault. I think maybe she wasn't sure what the speed limit for that road was, which is why she kept in the 30s at all times? - There was quite a lot going on during that emergency stop, so the blind spot checks just slipped her mind. A couple more practices of that and she'll be fine for her test. - Great job not stopping in the bus stop right at the end. Easy thing to forget in the heat of the moment on test after being told to stop on the left.
Online content really helps. I'm not even from the UK but from these videos I've learnt that 30mph roads always have streetlights, otherwise it must be signed. The national speed limit country roads are also quite recognisable and there would have definitely been signposts if it was any other speed limit. As for the emergency stop, the faults are only ever for the observations afterwards, so it's good to ingrain it in your mind that you always do a 6 point check afterwards.
Well, it's fair enough because this is a fault-based test! That said, I've found examiners do often give candidates the benefit of the doubt on individual infringements as long as the rest of the drive warrants it. Loved this video !! I wish I could drive in a place like this . You have no idea what is like to drive at rush hour in a busy day in Australia 🇦🇺 so hard for new drivers :(
I guess this is why they have the 3 tier licencing system right? You have the learner permit, provisional (which is obtained after one passing their test right, are you are restricted to certain speeds and vehicles?), and finally the full unrestricted licence. Hello Richard, thank you for sharing this Mock Driving Test, which is really useful, once she's had a bit more practice and tuition she should be fine and shouldn't have any issues at all. Kind regards Peter :)
man, screw the driving test, when you see a Countach on the road, you check all the mirrors and blind spots to be sure you’ve spotted the car well enough!
Usually when going straight through a roundabout, the inner lane is for either taking the third exit only. This is what it says in Advanced Driving School, Get Driving, & Driving TV videos.
@@evanopedal it’s better to use the second lane as it sets up the position for the car turning right at the next roundabout. It saves her having to switch lanes in between roundabouts.
Hello Richard. Thank you for your lessons. They helped me so much in my driving. One of the most important lessons was to accept that I am going to make mistakes, I am going to piss-off drivers, and I am not going to make it perfect from the beginning. A request: can you make a video on how to turn a very sharp turn, like a tight "A" or inverted "V" shape turn. I could not find any on the channel. Thank you again.
Thank you, this video may help and I've been making a video today about what you're talking about but that won't be available until February. ruclips.net/video/Avv0lHVnu1s/видео.html
These videos make me wonder how else are British driving rules different from the ones on the Continent. I live in Czech Republic and the way how signaling works on roundabouts makes my head spin a little. We don't signal unless we want to leave the roundabout. The whole right and then left signaling seems a little bit complicated from this perspective. Also didn't realize that right lane is in Britain used for overtaking but that is logical given the opposite position of a driver. If I ever happen to be in UK for longer period of time I would probably take some driving school lessons even if I am driving license holder to get used to the local rules and left side.
Very good for a learner driver. That incident at the traffic lights was bad luck. Lucky she was not going too fast. Nothing even experience drivers do. Sometimes. But of course shes a learner driver.
If you see a Lamborghini Countach and you check your mirrors as it passes to admire it, it is an immediate pass and the examiner is obliged to drive you back to the testing centre where you will be issued a driver's license right then and there. If that's too much to ask, then at least any faults you got in the test will be removed and you get to continue the test with a clean record.
Oh my God, I really like your way of commenting on her good and bad points. If you don't mind, can I suggest that you don't shorten the video please? It would be more efficient for us as a learners to watch the whole process. Thanks for your amazing videos.
I find it surprising that you could fail the driving test in the UK for driving too slow even when there's no official minimum speed sign. Great video as usual! I think it would be more interesting for the viewer to not have the information in the title nor description about if she's going to pass or not.
11:43 lol sadly i think most of the examiners wouldn't approve of a car spot. I am still to young to take my test but my biggest wonder has always been whether or not you could fail a test from pointing out cars. I would have to say something if a countach came around the corner
Actual driving test SHOULD be recorded at all times... (in this day and age) allowing both the examiner and learner to watch back a replay of a certain scenario would be beneficial for both sides. Also it would prevent examiners to fail students for absolute nothing to keep their qutes up, as well as drivers to complain about examiners. I find that is riddicolus that someone passes (who does not deserve a license) and fails (who can clearly drive) just because the examiner have a bad mood or want to be somewhere else ...
Totally don’t worry about the examiner pressing on the tablet! I passed my test 2 days ago with only 3 minors and I saw the examiner press the tablet so many times hahah

I love how you had an entire section of the video dedicated to the countach
Just a few things to work on. Other than that, I would be happy sharing the roads with her. 👍 Happy New Year, Richard!
hi
bless yr student, keep up the good work. Please do more mock videos, u provide more detail which I think is very useful. I am a driving instructor and I get all my students to watch yr vids. all the best zahir
i passed with 1 minor, so much better watching these videos on this side!!
Passed my test last month loved ur vids, helped me so much
So glad I live in the US for taking my driving test lol these UK roads look so confusing. Great video as always though and props to your student for the great driving.
😂
Passed my test, your videos really helped. Thanks.
That's great news, congratulations on passing!
Usually when going straight through a roundabout, the inner lane is for either taking the third exit only. This is what it says in Advanced Driving School, Get Driving, & Driving TV videos.
Lane choice on roundabouts isn't straight forward. Sometimes you can use more than one lane and you want to set yourself up for a later roundabout.
@@ConquerDriving what is that supposed to mean?
@@evanopedal it’s better to use the second lane as it sets up the position for the car turning right at the next roundabout. It saves her having to switch lanes in between roundabouts.
7:00 in Turkey even you are in a hell you must use indicator
Should've told her to block that Countach and nick it... them cars are so rare and gorgeous
It is a lovely car.
bro do more mock tests i really like how you explain things to learners makes great content
Thanks for all your videos. Specially the one on parallel parking
Excellent video. Reminds me of my driving test.
That was great, mate you’re a very good driving instructor. 🚙
Congrats to the young lady and her courage ! 👠👋🏼🎩✅
Thank you to Gosia for helping make this video. It really helps seeing a real student do the test
That Lambourn is a once in a life time opportunity to see it in person well done ! My test in 3 hours and I'm crapping it 😂
Dude that roadname at first made me think it said bumhole avenue 😂😂😂
Hello Richard. Thank you for your lessons. They helped me so much in my driving. One of the most important lessons was to accept that I am going to make mistakes, I am going to piss-off drivers, and I am not going to make it perfect from the beginning.
A request: can you make a video on how to turn a very sharp turn, like a tight "A" or inverted "V" shape turn. I could not find any on the channel. Thank you again.
Thank you, this video may help and I've been making a video today about what you're talking about but that won't be available until February. ruclips.net/video/Avv0lHVnu1s/видео.html
@@ConquerDriving Thank you, coach.
I believe that's the case in Germany too, only signal to leave roundabouts.
Thank you so much for your videos, I’m finding them really helpful as a slightly nervous learner!
This why I learn in a normal car means if I mess up aint no one saving me. Makes me more vigilant.
More mock test please thank you !
Thanks for all the guidance pased on second attempt 🙏
Congratulations on passing!
1:41 ..... bumhole avenue?
Driving examiner: Can you tell me how you'd check if your head restraint is correctly ajusted?
Gosia: That doesn't apply to me.
😄
Oh my God, I really like your way of commenting on her good and bad points.
If you don't mind, can I suggest that you don't shorten the video please? It would be more efficient for us as a learners to watch the whole process.
Thanks for your amazing videos.
I find it surprising that you could fail the driving test in the UK for driving too slow even when there's no official minimum speed sign. Great video as usual! I think it would be more interesting for the viewer to not have the information in the title nor description about if she's going to pass or not.
She will pass eventually. She has got a great trainer. All the best👍🏻
11:43 lol sadly i think most of the examiners wouldn't approve of a car spot. I am still to young to take my test but my biggest wonder has always been whether or not you could fail a test from pointing out cars. I would have to say something if a countach came around the corner
You wouldn't fail for pointing out cars or making conversation with the examiner. It's all about your driving.
Yeah, chatting with my examiner actually helped me pass as I ended up getting on with him really well and I didn’t feel nervous after 5-6 minutes
Thank you so much for your videos!
I got a fleeting glimpse of what was either a ford gt 2005 or one of the originals/replica during a driving lesson. Barely was able to control my self
They are nice!
Credit to the learner driver, that’s a hard thing to do, & I can tell she’ll have all those areas figured out soon.
She did, she had now got a licence.
14:12 since you did the Countach, there is an Impala I think? to the left here. Pretty rare in Europe id say
Good spot, rarely see old American cars here.
Good video. Interesting to see that you have to blink when you enter and drive through a roundabout
learning to drive at moment is awful wait times for tests is appalling
Lol how long is the wait times now ?
@@thatguywiththe4554 6 months due to covid
@@markbolam1383 6 months for your test ?
@@thatguywiththe4554 yes thats the average wait time for a test these days
@@markbolam1383 what area lol have you booked it ?
Actual driving test SHOULD be recorded at all times... (in this day and age) allowing both the examiner and learner to watch back a replay of a certain scenario would be beneficial for both sides. Also it would prevent examiners to fail students for absolute nothing to keep their qutes up, as well as drivers to complain about examiners. I find that is riddicolus that someone passes (who does not deserve a license) and fails (who can clearly drive) just because the examiner have a bad mood or want to be somewhere else ...
I can't see them doing that purely down to the extra time it would take. There is no driving test quota.
I failed 3 mock test and passed my real test first time.
Wow congrats 🎉
Totally don’t worry about the examiner pressing on the tablet! I passed my test 2 days ago with only 3 minors and I saw the examiner press the tablet so many times hahah
Congratulations on passing!
