I think shortage of water is only in dessert...I am living in Gujarat most western part 50km away from sea...I never faced any problem with water Where my whole family income still 2000 dollars... I think the problem may be due to particular locality or due to dessert... Btw ISRAEL has best practice in water management...

Guest house, it was a great place to be in 1996, even had a swimming pool. 25 roops all you can eat buffets everywhere. Including the Om The lake was a magical place.
First humans destroyed water ways, nobody spoke out, then they destroyed forests, nobody spoke out, then they destroyed animal kingdoms, nobody spoke out and then they came for those with the least impact on the environment and there was silence. The countdown to self destruction is being witnessed in silence by most.

Simcha Blass discovered Drip Irrigation in Israel in 1948. I worked computerize it in the early 80's in abuDhani ...it led to injection feed with computer calculated water injection into the plant. Look at these Gulf States. Pakistan and India ought to learn and practise. There is no shortages of Water only bad and mismanagement ...
I think shortage of water is only in dessert...I am living in Gujarat most western part 50km away from sea...I never faced any problem with water Where my whole family income still 2000 dollars...
I think the problem may be due to particular locality or due to dessert...
Btw ISRAEL has best practice in water management...
I am from the northern part of the thar, where the canal enters the desert. We have drip irrigation and orchards of Oranges, Dates and Olives and fields of Cotton, mustard, Sugarcane and even rice
