I like how they handled Ruby and Sapphire's marriage - Ruby is very obviously the masc of the relationship and Sapphire the femme. Different countries were replacing Ruby's pronouns from "she" to "he" to stop people from knowing it was a couple of lezzo rocks, so for the marriage they put Sapphire in the suit and Ruby in the dress; so either they're both chicks or the dude in the relationship wears dresses (they stopped people from being able to sensor them) it's pretty good.
They alsomade sure to put the scene into a story important episode, so it’s not that easy to just not air the episode as people would miss out on a lot of context. Sadly, most of these homophobic countries responded with cutting out the marriage part, cutting out the episode completely or straight up ending the production of the series
White diamond is basically a Goddess, it's implied that she just manifested from pure light and created the entire Gem race in her image. She is appropriately powered
I don’t think that’s implied at all. The way she says “I’m supposed to make everything better” suggests she was created by some long extinct race that didn’t program her with enough specificity on what “better” meant. The Gems in all their bodies are literally supercomputers. Supercomputers don’t just manifest out of nothing.

To clear up Patterz confusion, the vast majority of gems can shapeshift and none of them know how organic life is made so that's why Homeworld gems believed Steven when he said he was Rose Quartz. Also, about him rapidly dying of old age. He also shapeshifts subconsciously. He's literally only as old as he feels. This is also why he turned into a monster
I really appreciated the hospital episode of Steven Universe Future because they confirmed that throughout the whole series, Steven, a little kid, was legitimately getting messed up in the fights. He would regularly get broken bones and concussions, but he never really had to deal with it because his healing powers would immediately fix his injuries. I have to imagine that even if it would get fixed quickly, regularly experiencing pain like that while so young would still be traumatizing.

@@thatweirdodaniel yeah its a recap, but 90% of the hardest hitting parts just come off as kinda... not written well. The gut punch that was seeing Lars DIE, drop DEAD on the floor and then come back to life was just out the window, Steven bringing him back just seemed random bc it was never mentioned Steven's tears could heal people. I love FootofaFerret don't get me wrong, but the recap isn't really a good summary of the story, and again, like 90% of important stuff is just out of it. Steven's ability to connect with other people on their sleep/subconscious isn't even mentioned until the Cluster for example, even though it is VERY IMPORTANT for the entire lore of the show. It makes it seem like the writers just decided he could do that bc they needed to wrap up the Cluster plotline. Another good example is White and all scenes building her up, foreshadowing and all that being just relegated to never being mentioned until the finale. White since the beginning was clearly more powerful than the other Diamonds, but the recap made it sound like she was equal to them. like yeah its a decent recap, it does the job pretty nicely, but half of the stuff is missing 💀
This show helped me a lot. I grew up in a pretty turbulent household. And finally, after watching Steven leave his home town, I was able to pack up my things with my friends and leave home forever. We left my house heading across the country listening to steven universe.
Even with how crazy this show is, I loved it as a kid. It had a lot of great moments that really affected me. So I’m happy to see this video come out and see what Pat makes of it’s chaos
Its really not crazier than you expect. The one thing to know about this show that makes it so popular is it has a serious story that adults can appreciate.
i still cant believe they went ahead and made a follow up show about steven having to deal with major ptsd cause like every normal people would he got messed up by going through a war as as kid. the guts to do that
Things i want to clarify: It's lightly hinted that the US government isn't really aware of the Crystal Gems to a certain extent. Steven is off the grid, Pearl avoids the police because the gems aren't technically US citizens. The Town is aware of them and the gems appear in human history as having met some founding fathers but that's the extent known regarding the gems relationship with the US government. Stasis bubbles prevent gems from forming so there was no longer any danger after the Cluster was put in it, until it was intentionally popped.
About Cartoon Network cancelling the show: Well it's slightly more complicated than that. Shows like Steven Universe get their funding from many different places. And when the crew of the show decided to make an episode focussed on a same sex wedding, they were told that if they decide to go through with it they would most likely lose money from some investors, harming the chances for the show to get picked up for more episodes. But the crew still took that risk because that kind of representation was too important for them. Honestly, even tho it harmed the show and we unfortunately got a rushed ending to the original show, I'm still glad we got that wedding episode because Steven Universe really was a pioneer in depicting queer characters and stories in children's media
My favorite thing about the end of Future is that it's Steven's healing tears (added to the other diamonds') that finally fix the corruption. He needed to cry for himself.
fun fact season one hinted about this happening kinda in the episode where he almost died by growing older they reveal steven form changes by how he feels so when steven feels he a monster he became a monster
One thing that gets left out is that after Steven Universe it seems a bit weird that the Diamonds were just forgiven so easy. Steven Universe Future showed that no, Steven did NOT forgive the diamonds easily. As shown with him revealing he wanted to SHATTER WHITE DIAMOND.
So culturally, gems dont see organic lofeforms as life, they consider them analogous to animals and often react to them like we would a rat, cockroach, worm. So to them, steven is just rose quartz trapped inside a cockroach.
In Steven Universe Future, Jasper's shattering was actually meant to be her death, but they then later changed it because it was too dark, or something.
Lars had already called out Steven for just "singing some dumb song" all the way back in season 1. It was cannon from that early on that the characters do in fact sing out loud during musical numbers.
Steven Universe is my favourite show of all time. It has everything. Sure some of the themes were toned down slightly (at first) because it was PG-13 or something but it taught me so many lessons growing up, along side Steven, while also having a crazy messed up universe and complex story/cast of characters. It resonates with me emotionally, not just despite me being an adult now, but even more so since I can relate more to the lessons now than I could back then.
I would argue that Steven universe is a story told in second person, or something like it. Well swear not seeing things through Steven's eyes, the details that the show focuses on and it's overall tone shifts from season to season reflecting Steven's experience of events as he matures and develops from a somewhat self-absorbed but good natured child into a responsible young adult.
I worked in a new age store, so I learned a lot about gemstones. This feels like it was written by someone who was bored working at a new age store and wrote a fanfiction about the crystals.
I know other people have already said it, but the diamonds created the cluster to destroy the earth because they couldn't colonize it Edit: On the point of feeling or being too old to watch cartoons, I first watched SU when I was 20 going on 21 and it's still my go to comfort show if I get hit by a massive panic attack or depressive episode
"I hate Pink Diamond now." Yeah this is why SU fans talk about seeing Pink's character development in reverse. She eventually became Rose Quartz, an empathetic and compassionate freedom fighter... but it took her a while to get there, and we learn more and more about the bad parts of her history as the series goes on.
Ain’t she the strongest? Her single shield was enough to deflect the corruption beam from the three other diamonds and that was just her default shield.
I loved Steven Universe a while back, so allow me to elaborate more on the video and the series beneath the Read More: 1:13 I'm pretty sure Greg had his last name legally changed to Universe for his music career. It used to be DeMayo. He also becomes a multimillionaire after his former manager sold one of his songs for a commercial. 3:11 They fight the monsters, poof them, then encase them in a stasis bubble, keeping them under the temple with the hundreds if not thousands of other corrupted gems in hopes of being able to save them one day, as most of them were Crystal Gems during the rebellion. 5:21 "I'm gonna rap now" is an understatement. Stronger Than You has 14M views on RUclips, and has spawned numerous parodies, the most famous being the Sans Undertale parody, which has 79M views as of writing this. Also, this is at the end of season 1, which is 52 episodes long and makes up a third of the base show's runtime. 6:05 Look up "steven universe cat fingers" on RUclips. The first result should be by Steven Crewniverse titled "I'm a Monster" Watch it, and see how interested you are in that power afterwards. 8:36 Peridot's redemption is great. She insults Yellow Diamond directly to her face. Yellow Diamond's reaction got memed on a lot. 11:16 Amethyst and Jasper were both made on Earth during the war. Amethyst came from a Kindergarten (place where gem juice is injected and it sucks all the life energy from the surrounding area to give birth to gems, so in a way, your impregnating the Earth comment later isn't too far off) where other Amethyst soldiers were made, but she remained in the Earth too long, making her weaker than the other soldiers. Jasper, meanwhile, comes from a Kindergarten where almost all the soldiers were born with some defect or another. Jasper, however, was born amongst them as arguably the perfect gem. Jasper puts down Amethyst multiple times for being a weak soldier, making the fight between them at this point very personal for Amethyst. 11:35 Yeah, that's pretty much how fusion works here. If the two consciousnesses argue too much, the fusion may fall apart, which I'm not sure if that's how Dragonball's system works because I haven't watched it. 12:04 Peridot previously unlocked Ferrokinesis (telekinetic manipulation of metal) and essentially got a lucky crit after Smoky Quartz weakened Jasper down. She stole the kill. 13:08 He had the Rose Quartz gem, so that was enough evidence for Topaz and Aquamarine. 14:10 Padparadscha (furthest to the left at this part) is a Sapphire. Sapphires are supposed to have the ability to see the future. Padparadscha can only see events that have already happened. Most of the fandom would die for her. 15:07 Steven gets back to Earth at the end of Season 5, Episode 4. This episode aired on May 29th, 2017. Season 5, Episode 5 wouldn't air until December 15th, 2017. Following this, there were 4 weeks of consistent scheduling, a 4 month hiatus, 5 weeks consistent scheduling, a 2 month hiatus, 5 episodes over the course of 5 days, and another 5 month hiatus before the rest of the episodes aired. The Season 5 (and series) finale aired on January 21st, 2019. This one season took a year and a half to air 32 episodes, sometimes with 2-4 episodes being released on the same day. 17:32 The Diamonds can project their emotions onto others, which I think is how they figured out Steven was Pink Diamond. Yellow Diamond is usually angry, and Blue Diamond is usually sad. 18:55 White Diamond was not the first to attempt this. Pearl was about to do this to Steven while he was a baby, but was stopped before she could go through with it. 19:16 That is a very accurate rendition of the scene 19:23 The scene where Steven and Pink Steven re-fuse was animated by James Baxter, who's been animating since 1988. He's worked on Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Shrek 2, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and Monsters Vs. Aliens, just to name a few. 21:45 Rebecca Sugar (creator of the show) was actually told the series would be cancelled sometime in 2016, so between the end of Season 2 and the middle of Season 4. The gay wedding was still important, though, and she had to prove that "the wedding was organic to the show’s development and a natural progression of Ruby and Sapphire’s relationship" (Wikipedia) before it could air. They had to plan out the wedding episode years in advance, and put in details that would make it impossible to censor and included the Diamonds attacking so it couldn't just be skipped over. This episode was the kickstart to a lot of the queer representation we see in media today. ND Stevenson cited Steven Universe as proof that shows with queer characters have value and a right to exist while pitching the idea for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power to Netflix. Steven Universe crawled so all animated shows since then with queer characters can walk, and eventually, run. 22:18 Other Friends is also an excellent song. 24:35 The name of the fusion between Steven and Greg is Steg, which somehow makes it worse. 24:49 Drift Away is also an excellent song 25:21 A lot of people hate Pink Diamond at this point. 26:02 Spinel's only purpose was to play the games Pink Diamond wanted to play. If Pink Diamond wanted to play a game where she stood still for a very long time, Spinel would play it, placing absolute trust in Pink Diamond. She did have doubts about Pink's return, but held out for the 6,000 years only with pure faith she'd return. 30:15 Jasper, at this point, still hates Steven, but can't bring herself to kill him because he did save her from essentially being a zombie. She's still willing to fight him, though. 33:56 He also never quite fully healed physically. His regenerative powers means any injury he sustained would fix itself quickly, so every bone in his body has been broken and healed, but slightly off (you can still see cracks in his skull on the x-ray). 36:19 Steven tries visiting the Diamonds on Homeworld for therapy after accidentally killing Jasper. Yellow Diamond tries to mechanically fix the problem, but it doesn't work, so she sends him to Blue Diamond. She offers to get him high off her vaporized tears, but that doesn't work, so she sends him to White Diamond. White Diamond, who previously controlled others, is now letting herself be controlled so she can see things from the lesser folks' points of view. While controlling her, Steven tries forcibly smashing her head (where her gem is) into a pillar out of anger and vengeance for everything she put everyone through. 36:52 Yeah, pretty much. This is a kid's show, after all. Some other things that happen in the show and about the show: Lapis Lazuli steals the entire ocean We see a map of the world and Russia is destroyed Steven invites Pearl on a trip to Empire City (pretty much just New York City) despite her having been in love with Rose/Pink for thousands of years, and she finally stops resenting Greg for being the one Rose chose. Also she sings It's Over, Isn't It? which is also a great song Steven brings a pumpkin to life, and lives with Lapis and Peridot in the barn the drill for the Cluster was built in All the gems have their own weapons, and when the gems fuse, the weapons do too. Steven (Shield) + Amethyst (Whip) = Smoky Quartz (Yo-yo) Steven (Shield) + Pearl (Spear) = Rainbow Quartz (Umbrella) Steven (Shield) + Garnet (Gauntlets) = Sunstone (Suction Cup Gauntlets) Amethyst (Whip) + Pearl (Spear) = Opal (Bow) Amethyst (Whip) + Garnet (Gauntlets) = Sugilite (Flail) Pearl (Spear) + Garnet (Gauntlets) = Sardonyx (Warhammer) Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Steven can fuse into Obsidian, who creates the hilt of a greatsword (Gauntlets flattened for the Crossguard, Whip for the Binding, Spear for the length of the Hilt, Shield for the Pommel), dips it in lava, then pulls out a fire sword. I'd put more, but I've been at this for a couple hours, so I'll leave it here.
Honestly the whole “Steven just starts licking the dirt” is hilarious without context because it’s like without spinel he just randomly started licking the dirt but no he doesn’t even lick the dirt he kisses it because he can heal things and people when he kisses them 😂
Pink diamond felt having spinel around would prevent her from growing up so she left her in the garden. She had no reason to believe spinel would actually stay in the garden or that nobody would go to the garden and see her. And even after saving earth the space warps were broken so rose couldn't go find spinel even if she believed she wouldnt be killed on sight
The fusions in steven universe are technically their own people. They have their own thoughts and personalities kind of like theyre the "child" of the two "parents" yet at the same time the two people fusing can have thoughts and conversations that can affect the fusion as well
13:07 gems can shapeshift, and also when they’re poofed they’re reformed with a slightly different form, sometimes they simply change outfits and sometimes they can completely change appearances, thus it’s not insane to figure out that rose didn’t just go into hiding, especially since every single other rose quartz was imprisoned, there is only one left (well not really but still)
Fusions have one consciousness per gem, so Opal would have one for pearl and one for amethyst, but if I am correct, in fusions there is also a consciousness that is sort of a mix of both
Im at 6:27 and let me just say... I love when people hear this whole story for the first time!! _BUT_ , and its a big but here, _BUT_ i wish he heard the songs 💯💯💯
8:28 see, you can't make this argument when you've watched jackshit of the show 😑 White isn't op bc they couldn't fucking write a last boss. She's op BECAUSE she IS the boss. Of. All. Gems. They _all_ literally (and I mean that in its very essence) originated from her - even the other diamonds. They're all created from her image. All her "flaws" flushed out to make her the ultimate absolute being and them to rely on the system she created. The society is constructed from her will alone.
18:27 to be fair, at this point, they had very little episodes left. The marriage of Ruby and Sapphire meant a LOT of countries stopped airing it, and Cartoon Network cancelled the show. So they had to wrap up a LOT
Cluster is fighting on Crystel gem side cuz itself the clusters made out of crystal gems who shattered durling the Rebellion. It says on the show but still:b
It's sad that they had to rush the ending of original Steven universe cause of the gay marriage. It got canceled cuz at the time I'm pretty it wasn't even legal at the time so it got canceled, but the team behind the show begged and managed to get out like 10 more episodes or something.
Why didn't you simply watch the video including the steven universe timeline? This version hardly goes into detail about how homeworld society worked and why characters held certain beliefs.
9:45 my elementary school had a wheat field behind it and according to a news article I found years later there is actually a un-detonated bomb in that field
Well rose quarts has a sword so with her construct shield and her regular solid sword she has a sword and shield so they are supposed to go together (man this is making me want to watch Steven universe again)
I guess fusion is a mix of it's own person and knowing it's two people. Think of it like 2 people playing a game and controlling 1 character: if they are in sync, they can make the same conclusion on something or talk to one another to gather a common goal. So when Gems fuse, they kind of combine their consciousness into one being without losing themselves. And then you get the one sided gems, which is just toxic relationships where it's either both fighting for control or one submitting control over/losing themselves. And there yhere are multiple gems in one fusion that can work out but their mental and motor skills are slower due to a lot of people going off at once, though that's if there's more like 5 at once. A fusion of 3 or 4 working together can be very strong and fast.
16:05 I feel like when i was a kid and watching this I thought that pink diamond is roze quartz is obvious I even sometimes mistaken both of their name and switches them And when i was watching this I was like "Isn't it obvious, dumb*ss" (thr last part was a joke i didn't say that)
For me during the Steve's birthday special string of episodes I was turning the same age just a few weeks later and mostly because of that I formed a connection with the show. I eventually learned that Steven's life and my life are scarely similar and watching thus show helped me come to terms with my own trauma. When the series finally aired I was going through a lot of problems and was highly depressed, the final episode gave me a moment of clarity that allowed me to look past my depression and see myself for who I really am and why my friends loved me.
Well Steve's healing powers comes from Rose's/Pink Diamond's powers of healing since she was an all powerful Diamond, which her powers stem from helping over. Her healing came from tears (though debatable if both basic healing and revival came from tears alone is in the air) Steven's basic healing comes from his saliva and his revival powers come from his tears, which we didn't know till now since no one died. Fitting too that the worst character (even if there is a much more annoying character🍟) gets revived and becomes better from it.
I like genuinely despise how FOAF frames Bismuth, she was trying to shatter the space fascists, like the literal colonialist mass murder antagonists. Like just saying “oh she’s an attempted murderer” is leaving out a HUGE part of the story. Good video otherwise
One thing you'll notice in the show is when Steven confronts Pearl or whenevr Pearl is about to slip about Pink, she covers her mouth. This is because of when Rose told her to never reveal her secret. With that, Jasper's drive to keep fighting for Pink and Spinel, it reveals that Rose/Pink has some power of persuasion or mind control like Steven shows in Future
I only recently watched all of steven universe cause it was a deal with a friend of mine for her to watch HunterxHunter. It broke my heart in such a good way. The future season and dealing with ptsd hit home so hard.
White Diamond is literally the creator of ALL gems including the other diamonds, can take control of any gem, including several at once, including the other diamonds and is essentially a goddess, all diamonds are huge, except Pink. White is probably larger than Mount Everest and the Empire State Building. The others are considerably smaller than White while also very large.
Steven universe is so, so, wild, but also, i wish i had that series as a kid. Would have made me more comfortable with being lgbtq+ if i grew up with that
21:34 THAT'S ACTUALLY TRUE!!! Yeah Ruby and Sapphire are two girl characters who love each other and then they got married and Cartoon Network TRIED to cancel it but Rebecca Sugar begged them to allow at least 6 more episodes to at least try to make a satisfying ending for the series and FYI even though gay marriage became legal in 2015 and that episode came out in 2019 still Cartoon Network tried to cancel it but still at least the company allowed six more episodes and a movie and an epilogue series so everything worked out in the end.

@@Oqposite most of the shows appeal is character building, world building, story writing (got cucked at the end cuz of the ruby and sapphire marriage) and much much more than i can list off the top of my head
yeah, huge part of SU is the character development, interpersonal conflicts, etc. it's literally part of the plot
its almost like its a recap
This show got me through the worst of my depression, it means the world to me.
Why was Rose's Sword the only weapon she stored in Lion's Mane ?
Because it was a Lonely Blade.
Dang. So many layers
Even with how crazy this show is, I loved it as a kid. It had a lot of great moments that really affected me. So I’m happy to see this video come out and see what Pat makes of it’s chaos
Its really not crazier than you expect. The one thing to know about this show that makes it so popular is it has a serious story that adults can appreciate.
i still cant believe they went ahead and made a follow up show about steven having to deal with major ptsd cause like every normal people would he got messed up by going through a war as as kid. the guts to do that
When he said "is this the show version of undertale" that is the most accurate description for this show I have ever heard
"It's killing the earth!"
Pat: "No, it's impregnating the earth."
Come again?
The drill sure as hell is gonna
Things i want to clarify:
It's lightly hinted that the US government isn't really aware of the Crystal Gems to a certain extent.
About Cartoon Network cancelling the show:
Well it's slightly more complicated than that.
“She must have went through some *TRAUMA* to end up like that!”
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHA- *you don’t know the half of it*
My favorite thing about the end of Future is that it's Steven's healing tears (added to the other diamonds') that finally fix the corruption.
It really was Pat. It had me saying WTF?! Many times
In Steven Universe Future, Jasper's shattering was actually meant to be her death, but they then later changed it because it was too dark, or something.
Yeah i dont think cn would allow the main character to kill in any serious way
Listen to the music in this show. It is absolutely beautiful
Lars had already called out Steven for just "singing some dumb song" all the way back in season 1. It was cannon from that early on that the characters do in fact sing out loud during musical numbers.
And Peridot calling out the "spontaneous singing, crying, singing while crying"
Steven Universe is my favourite show of all time. It has everything.
Sure some of the themes were toned down slightly (at first) because it was PG-13 or something but it taught me so many lessons growing up, along side Steven, while also having a crazy messed up universe and complex story/cast of characters. It resonates with me emotionally, not just despite me being an adult now, but even more so since I can relate more to the lessons now than I could back then.
I like how season 2 was in a way the start of the actual story
I would argue that Steven universe is a story told in second person, or something like it. Well swear not seeing things through Steven's eyes, the details that the show focuses on and it's overall tone shifts from season to season reflecting Steven's experience of events as he matures and develops from a somewhat self-absorbed but good natured child into a responsible young adult.
Thos show was such a big part of my life as a kid. I still think about it every day almost. Its a really special show
I worked in a new age store, so I learned a lot about gemstones. This feels like it was written by someone who was bored working at a new age store and wrote a fanfiction about the crystals.
Well it was made by a white woman
They love their astrology and crystals

Even if you feel like you don't have the time to check out the show, I recommend checking out the musical numbers. The songs are insanely good.
I know other people have already said it, but the diamonds created the cluster to destroy the earth because they couldn't colonize it
Edit: On the point of feeling or being too old to watch cartoons, I first watched SU when I was 20 going on 21 and it's still my go to comfort show if I get hit by a massive panic attack or depressive episode
21:44 in their defence it was made in like 2019 back when that wasn't the norm
of the north
We've done Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and Gravity Falls. Owl House HAS to be next
YES🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Or amphiba
The part where he turned his fingers into cats turned into an eldritch abomination of trauma for steven
"I hate Pink Diamond now."
Yeah this is why SU fans talk about seeing Pink's character development in reverse. She eventually became Rose Quartz, an empathetic and compassionate freedom fighter... but it took her a while to get there, and we learn more and more about the bad parts of her history as the series goes on.
The show means so much to me,I love this show a lot and it holds a special place in my heart
Steven universe was my childhood I protect it with my soul
The fact that steven has had a literal out of body experience before he was probably 14 is crazy
Pink diamond is like, the weakest diamond, like she's the baby of the diamond family.
She may even be off-color
Ain’t she the strongest? Her single shield was enough to deflect the corruption beam from the three other diamonds and that was just her default shield.
Except when Steven broke down and was capable of beating all the diamonds.
I loved Steven Universe a while back, so allow me to elaborate more on the video and the series beneath the Read More:
1:13 I'm pretty sure Greg had his last name legally changed to Universe for his music career.
19:16 That is a very accurate rendition of the scene
19:23 The scene where Steven and Pink Steven re-fuse was animated by James Baxter, who's been animating since 1988.
24:49 Drift Away is also an excellent song
25:21 A lot of people hate Pink Diamond at this point.
Some other things that happen in the show and about the show:
Lapis Lazuli steals the entire ocean
We see a map of the world and Russia is destroyed
Steven invites Pearl on a trip to Empire City (pretty much just New York City) despite her having been in love with Rose/Pink for thousands of years, and she finally stops resenting Greg for being the one Rose chose. Also she sings It's Over, Isn't It? which is also a great song
Steven brings a pumpkin to life, and lives with Lapis and Peridot in the barn the drill for the Cluster was built in
All the gems have their own weapons, and when the gems fuse, the weapons do too.
Steven (Shield) + Amethyst (Whip) = Smoky Quartz (Yo-yo)
Steven (Shield) + Pearl (Spear) = Rainbow Quartz (Umbrella)
Steven (Shield) + Garnet (Gauntlets) = Sunstone (Suction Cup Gauntlets)
Amethyst (Whip) + Pearl (Spear) = Opal (Bow)
Amethyst (Whip) + Garnet (Gauntlets) = Sugilite (Flail)
Pearl (Spear) + Garnet (Gauntlets) = Sardonyx (Warhammer)
Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Steven can fuse into Obsidian, who creates the hilt of a greatsword (Gauntlets flattened for the Crossguard, Whip for the Binding, Spear for the length of the Hilt, Shield for the Pommel), dips it in lava, then pulls out a fire sword.
I'd put more, but I've been at this for a couple hours, so I'll leave it here.
i don't know why but every time i see the drill in the movie it reminds me of that story were spider man killed mj
They have their own thoughts and personalities kind of like theyre the "child" of the two "parents" yet at the same time the two people fusing can have thoughts and conversations that can affect the fusion as well
13:07 gems can shapeshift, and also when they’re poofed they’re reformed with a slightly different form, sometimes they simply change outfits and sometimes they can completely change appearances, thus it’s not insane to figure out that rose didn’t just go into hiding, especially since every single other rose quartz was imprisoned, there is only one left (well not really but still)
25:50 after spinel told the diamonds what happened, the diamonds were like “only six thousand years? hahahah” or some shit 😭
Fusions have one consciousness per gem, so Opal would have one for pearl and one for amethyst, but if I am correct, in fusions there is also a consciousness that is sort of a mix of both
He started licking the dirt beacuse he has healing spit and he kissies the floor to grow plants with his healing spit
0:21 this is the first one of your videos I have watched and I subscribed to you as soon as you said you have done this type of thing before.
This show really helped me through a very rough path in my life it what kept me sane and happy
9:20 nahhhh 😭 that was uncalled for
Im at 6:27 and let me just say... I love when people hear this whole story for the first time!! _BUT_ , and its a big but here, _BUT_ i wish he heard the songs 💯💯💯
White diamond is the necrozma of the Steven universe
9:21 well did the submarine work out for you?
Did anyone else think white was basically Stevens grandma and blue and yellow were his aunts
That was the whole point of the Diamonds
Hm, yes. Steven Universe.
Totally never heard about it before- Although that pink one from the movie seems,
Oddly familiar-
Cluster is fighting on Crystel gem side cuz itself the clusters made out of crystal gems who shattered durling the Rebellion. It says on the show but still:b
9:20 that submarine joke made me spit out my food
Same 💀💀💀 it was so petty 💀
Is a video game controller to drive it using blue tooth
It's sad that they had to rush the ending of original Steven universe cause of the gay marriage. It got canceled cuz at the time I'm pretty it wasn't even legal at the time so it got canceled, but the team behind the show begged and managed to get out like 10 more episodes or something.
Can't wait for patterz to watch at least the movie of Steven Universe.
9:23 Phineas and Ferb...
27:18 Spinel is actually based off of Monkey D. Luffy. Rebecca Sugar (SU creator)is a big anime and One Piece fan
Why didn't you simply watch the video including the steven universe timeline? This version hardly goes into detail about how homeworld society worked and why characters held certain beliefs.
The diamonds gave up on the planet so they decided to create the cluster as the planets last use
It's time to get back to watching this guy
9:45 my elementary school had a wheat field behind it and according to a news article I found years later there is actually a un-detonated bomb in that field
37:10 giraffe can eat apple and do Kung fu
18:30 i just want you to know white diamond created all the other diamonds. She is much more than a gem. It makes sense She is undefetable.
This is the best recap u will find lol
Well rose quarts has a sword so with her construct shield and her regular solid sword she has a sword and shield so they are supposed to go together (man this is making me want to watch Steven universe again)
14:40 No, this is completely different because Steven actually has healing powers. There's a reason he has a pink lion.
I love this RUclipsr.
10:22
Steven needed a nat 20 on a persuasion roll to succeed and somehow got a nat 20 with assistance.
Oh boy
I still would like to see an amphibia recap
Also... I don't recall the Gay Wedding the reason Steven Universe was canceled when it literally got a movie and follow-up series.
16:05
I feel like when i was a kid and watching this
I thought that pink diamond is roze quartz is obvious
I even sometimes mistaken both of their name and switches them
And when i was watching this
I was like
"Isn't it obvious, dumb*ss" (thr last part was a joke i didn't say that)
I love how he hasn't watched the show yet he "hates" on things he hasn't seen 💀💀💀
important note: Ruby and Sapphire are lesbians
Garnett is a lesbian couple
For me during the Steve's birthday special string of episodes I was turning the same age just a few weeks later and mostly because of that I formed a connection with the show. I eventually learned that Steven's life and my life are scarely similar and watching thus show helped me come to terms with my own trauma. When the series finally aired I was going through a lot of problems and was highly depressed, the final episode gave me a moment of clarity that allowed me to look past my depression and see myself for who I really am and why my friends loved me.
full Gems don't need to breathe, but they can be trapped underwater for a long time
Yoooo finally Steven Universe!!
Pat on his way to watch a timeline video of every western cartoon
Would have made me more comfortable with being lgbtq+ if i grew up with that
Why does spinel being asked to stand in one place until the other person came back, oh yes, ash's gengar
