  • Adding a glaze to a dry painting is one of the easiest processes to enhance your paintings. Don't forget, if the under-painting is completely dry there isn't a lot that can go wrong.
    Colours used: Royal Blue, Payne's Grey, Japanese Red, Ultramarine Blue and Titanium White. For the glaze: Light green, Orange Vermillion and Violet Blue.

    Thank you Stewart! Very helpful!! I am trying to work more with glazes and it really helped to hear you think through the process as you glazed your painting!

    I'm new to your work and really enjoy the simplicity of your method. I'm using acrylics just now but very keen to pull out my old oils and try your style. Thank you. 😊

    These pieces of skyline are forever intriguing to the eye but the changes are either grt or ,, I’m so undecided 🌝but as usually comes from your interpretation is the Beautiful ,final for the moment ,until your minds eye makes another interpretation of this piece 🌻 I’ve always loved the distance in these settings the way they go forever ,,the revising of this piece is fantastic 🌷

    I like your "lighting the fuse" to see your "?good ideas gone bad, vs good ideas gone good" techniques. Same as parachuting?

    Captivating sky Stuart. I thought alternatives for "less interesting " could be " less capitvating, less alluring, less inspiring, less tedious, less soporific, less bland, less dull, less uninspriring, less uninteresting, less monotonous " plus a few others but they sound too cruel. Don't worry Stuart, you can say whatever you like but varying ones phrases doesnt hurt. Nonetheless your paintings are never dull or bland or uninteresting, even without the glazing but the glazing has transformed the painting quite significantly. 💜💚

    Thanks ,Grandpa these pieces of Tonalism how ever ya spell that have a dramatic set in my mind all if not most of your pieces of art are in my mind a piano hinge in disguise they may be a flat canvas that through your eyes have grown into a piano hinged in the distance of skyline n god’s heaven the way the ,salad layer as you put it, lays beneath the sky’s in such a ,V, the point being distance n gods sky laying in values above so dynamically n yet the!,V,, has a point of dynamic interest ,I myself see these ideas within All if not most of your works ,fantastic 🍄🍀oh yes the V that I spoke of is lying on it’s side try to please see my prospective ,minds eye, 🌟

    I simply cannot fathom why anybody would spend the big bucks for abstract art. In my opinion, abstract art is, when well done, decoration at best, not art.

    • @Doppy34
      @Doppy34 9 месяцев назад

      Well , i have that with rap and other kinds of non-music, but not with abstract paintings as a whole. There is as much difference in abstract as there is in modern music. Look up michael lang f.i., and tell me again that abstract is not art.

      I have to say that the words art and artist don’t define anything. Everything humans do is art. Artist is nothing to aspire to…just make art…just do it. A lot of folks have trouble with these words and it restricts what they create.
