You can literally spoil yourself if you listen to the speakers when Oleander is sleeping. This + the intro of coach oleanders mind + the "random" bunnies in oleanders mind and brain tumbler + dr loboto in the brain tumbler... yeah, I think that 100% adds up.
“It looks like a dentist’s office.” The moment I realized this line foreshadowed the rest of the game, and it was placed at the very beginning of the game, I felt like an absolute fool.
That Bobby line at the start of this video has been in my head for almost 2 decades now. Lol, great list. Another great line that sticks out from the game is when Raz is in the brain tumbler and says: "OK, what the heck was the that!?" after opening that egg vault memory.
@@NorthstarSystem Actually, it's one of the random lines that plays when you stomp civilians I'm pretty sure. Normally they say something like 'I hate you Goggalor!' but there's a small chance you'll get 'I love you Goggalor!', then after a short silence you get the 'He's immune to lasers, and love!' quote.
In the sequel they backed up the jokes to make a more serious story (lever story and overall story). It's great, but sometimes I miss the original game sense of humour, it appears in the sequel but not so often
@jamesolszewski3782, yeah, that one was hilarious. I'm not saying that Psychonauts 2 doesn't have jokes, just that it has less than the first one to make room for a more serious story. One of my favourites is: Raz: "To use pyrokinesis try thinking of something really hot" Dad: "Ok, I'm thinking about your mother" Then Raz makes an absolutely disgusted face
Fun fact - you may know that Psychonauts was conceived and partially written by Tim Schafer, also known for Monkey Island 1 and 2 (alongside Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman), Day of the Tentacle (alongside Dave Grossman), Full Throttle and Grim Fandango, but did you know his co-writer on Psychonauts 1 was Erik Wolpaw, who also wrote all of Valve's Portal games, including Aperture Desk Job? He was going to write for Psychonauts 2 as well and he did eventually co-write Rhombus of Ruin with Schafer, but Valve still wanted him for Artifact and Half Life: Alyx, so the scheduling conflict meant he ended up having no time for Psy2 unfortunately. I think Tim Schafer did an excellent job with it on his own though
"I hate bridges!- AGGGHHHHH!!!" Makes me laugh. Also, the fact that Sasha says "Run Razputin. Very fast." In a monotone voice like he's not concerned at all is funny to me as well.
Favorite from Psychonauts 1: "I am the Milkman. My milk is delicious." Favorite from Psychonauts 2: "You put the egg in the basket, the old egg in the box, and the box in the ocean."
Man, I loves the first game so much more. The second is alright, but the feeling of the maps were mostly gone imo, the writing was dumbed down a bit, the bickering and adult jokes were also turned down. It was really fine but either the creators were burned out or they hands were tied. Aside from 2 minds the rest was mid. Especially how they handled the broken mind of Cruller, they were far too repetetive for what i was expecting from the greatest psychonaut agent of all...
In response to raz's earlier question, has sasha gained the ability to breathe under water? Does the shark now have lungs and legs? Or has it gained the ability to fly, and it will be an Arial fight?
Eh, eh-eh, eh eh, eh-eh
it's “eh, eh, eh-eh”, probably.
just now realizing that the intro to coach's braining looking like a dentist office is foreshadowing...
Shiiiiiiit ur right
how did i not notice that even after finishing the game

"I could never... kill everyone" comes to mind from time to time.

oh yes! another excellent line!!!
You are my own creation! I command you to stop! ...why does that never work?
It sounded so much cooler when Sasha said it...
@@Darchias heck yes, Psychonauts 2 reference!! I played that level again last night lmfao.
"You're like molasses going up a hill in january, with crutches!" is never not funny to me
the only video game ever made
The video game of all time
The only one
Your comment got liked 69 times.
I died when they said "Hold on, that WASN'T the orphanage!"
really calmly and casually "see you in hell!"
I have only heard it once in the game but, "he's imune to lazers, and love!"
whereabouts in the game was it? sort of rings a bell for me…
@hamsandwich in lungfishopolis. Idk if it's super rare or something, honestly.
@@dr.rodabthicc 8 months late, but maybe being hit with the shield ability makes them say that sometimes?
@@NorthstarSystem that might be it.

God the first game has some great lines/line deliveries.
Dogen is just a mood, man. Idk why, he just is
"Are you even listening to me Dogan?"
"I hope so"
He's just so precious
When coach said “starts with an E” at the intro cutscene I knew I had to play the entire game
the coach says D actually and it's a reference to the original protagonist named D'Artagnan
so i said "brainer? i dont even know her!"
I appreciate that the 'This looks like a dentists office.' line is an absolute call out to the main plot.
"excellent, a victory for good taste" -Sasha
"Not another tracking device!"
-Night Guard Boyde
the only reason i think about "hey son, catch!" it's because I'VE HEARD IT A MILLION TIMES FROM DYING SO MUCH IN MEAT CIRCUS
I love Psychonauts 2 but it really doesn't have as much funny one-liners as the first
In the sequel they backed up the jokes to make a more serious story (lever story and overall story). It's great, but sometimes I miss the original game sense of humour, it appears in the sequel but not so often
The original will always be best

One of my favourites is:
Raz: "To use pyrokinesis try thinking of something really hot"

Damn, I fucking love she said shut up from a nonverbal gesture, that's always funny
Bobby after putting his brain back in: "Have fun DYING!" In his stupid overbite voice.
0:52 That "No!" sounded like he was genuinely offended.
"Run, Razputin. Very fast."
The lines from Lungfishopolis stick to my brain like gorilla glue for some reason

that’s so interesting, i didn’t know that! i agree, i really enjoy what tim did with psy2, even if it differs somewhat from the first game
So that would kinda explain the lack of edginess a bit.
you get me my special musket
HEY SON CATCH

1:00 this is such a 10-year-old boy moment, lmao
All classics
This game is very nostalgic for me, and many of the really funny parts passed over my head as a kid.
“My gun is fake…I’m worried the other assassins will make fun of me….”
"Why did I have to buy the cheap brain tumbler"
"Yes! It was the orphanage! The orphanage for dogs!"
"my name."
"starts with a d-"
"is Rasputin"
*grunt*
Dang, these are great choices!
God i wish they kept the swearing in the second game
I sometimes use "gotta work that upper-body strength, you know? HRRRMMMMMM!"
first game made me laugh a lot more :") wish the second game had some better lines
Favorite from Psychonauts 1: "I am the Milkman. My milk is delicious."
Favorite from Psychonauts 2: "You put the egg in the basket, the old egg in the box, and the box in the ocean."
Lol, should be called "Psychonauts being mood for 3 min"
This is a cartoon tv show made in video game form.

The way he says “see you in hell! :)” so kindly like he genuinely wants to meet up for coffee in hell made my fucking day
i would meet raz in hell for a coffee. was a sweet boy

mon dieu! I hate bridges! AHHHH-
What about that Ford line when you pick him up with Telekenisis?
