It's refreshing to see cool tones---I'm so sick of everybody slobbering over yet another brown/orange/sparkly champagne clone but geez there are so many other beautiful cool colors that could have been splashed in here to make it more of an every day option.

Yeah, I love cool tones, especially grey colors, but this felt like a missed opportunity. There is so much variety in basic nude and warm tone palettes, almost an endless amount, but as pretty as some of these shades are, the palette could be more creative.

@@mouse2390 Oh wow, I could have posted this. I've never used orange, but a soft peach color works well on me, or a peachy beige. And grays...as I get older, they make me look tired. Not that anybody told me that, but I think so. And I wasn't crazy about shimmers (on me) even when I was younger. And now I have crepey skin around my eyes, and they emphasize it.

It was nice seeing this pallet tried by someone, I’ve only ever seen the xenon pallet and mini used on Natasha denonas channel and she goes in really heavy with it so it’s really hard to tell how it would look applied in a more natural way, this was great at showcasing that !

This palette being so grey - It’s hilarious seeing it on everyone’s different skin tones 😂 It looks so different on everyone! I was waiting for you to swatch it because your swatches always represent exactly how I see things when I have them in person! This seemed like my cool toned dream palette but I was hoping for more variation. I feel like with Colourpop Blowin Smoke I’m covered with the matte shades and can mix in shimmers from anything. I don’t need to spend the $69 on it for that, which I hate saying 😂

I feel like this palette is great! ...if you're looking to mix it in with other ND palettes to make your own perfect palette.
I personally don't have a lot of these tones in my collection, but I also don't need 15 for almost $70. I might use Ulta points on it, but even then, I would probably mix it with other palettes of hers.
I do wish she had integrated some pops of color (like a light lavender from Xenon lights or something). Overall, it's a fine enough release, but not something I'm running out to get.

Hi Jen I’m super pale and cool toned so they will show on me the slight differences in shade. Plus I love grey and silver but also most palettes don’t have enough light shades for me - that pale taupe and grey WILL work as crease shades on my skintone. Dark shades all lose their pigment difference normally on me and just look black, so not having too many dark shades is a bonus tbh. I’m buying it as a Xmas present for myself and believe I will really love it. Warm shades look ghastly on me and every other ND palette is full of warmth eg I loved the greens and khaki neutrals in the retro glam, but the pinks/peaches were not pretty on me at all. I have a strong cool undertone, with grey eyes and ashy blonde hair btw. At 51 I’m not trying to recapture my 18 year old goth phase 😂, but soft grey and silver looks amazing on me with a hint of pink and navy - lovely. It’s not going to be right for everyone, but the glam was far far too warm for me and I like this one so much more. Best wishes x

Well, my mind is made up. It's a no for me. I feel this a palette I would rarely bring out and use. It's not an everyday palette for sure. I would most likely only use it as a holiday palette. If it was more affordable, I may consider it, just to add to my ND collection, but as for a similar look or vibe, I truly appreciate you sharing a close alternative, which is actually more my vibe than the ND palette. Excellent and informative video as usual.

I love grey and silver...but with other colours added in. For me, I use the De Lanci London Rock a lot. It's talc free and has some great colours that are almost grey. There's a purple, green, blue, brown and more. I use them for crease and outer corner, then often add a brighter colour on the lid and a shifty topper. I also have De Lanci's Avocado palette but it has almost exclusively blue greens and they all look different in the palette compared to on the eye. Thank you for showing such an unusual palette. Good video.😊

This is a great review Jen. I like that you put the mattes together and the shimmers because I can see the shades the best as you swatched it. The Smoke Show definitely looks the same.

Hey Jen, love the color story. This is my jam, the eyeshadows look great on you. It brought out your eyes. The pallet is a little steep to pay. I already have the Blowing Smoke pallet by Colorpop which I love. Thanks for showing this pallet and your opinion.

Clearly it’s a very specific palette that will look fantastic on certain people. If I go that cool toned I have to have something warmer to ground it down. I completely thought of the CP Blowing Smoke palette and the Moira Starshow Shadow Pot in the shade Eureka, but even that has a bit of a warmer undertone to it. Looking lovely as always Jen and I’m really excited for Vlogmas coming up! Thanks for great and useful content!

Thank you for this review! I do enjoy Natasha Denona’s formula but this larger palette is a no for me. I would say the mini version would suffice if you wanted that gray silver cool toned look. The color pop shadow palette; even better! I do like both eye looks that you created with the palette. Would’ve been nice if the pink had shown up a bit more. Love your content and always looking forward to the next one🎉🎊 hope you have a great rest of your week! 💕💖💫

I wanted it when i first saw it. Them i saw other videos and them it was a no. Now seeing your looks make it a yes again! I like simple wearable looks for everyday. Your looks were gorgeous! I'd rearrange the colors to do a row of mattes from light to dark and then the shimmers in color order.

I feel like this is one of the best looks you have done. It looks much better than warm tones on you. I like that it has a lot of light colors. A lot come with a lot of colors but maybe only one or 2 light colors. Due to the size of my lid, I usually do light all over and the add the crease and outer v darker colors. A maybe for me.

Super helpful with the swatches for sure!!! You’re so modest with the “I’m not a makeup artist” thing. The rest of us aren’t, either. I’ve decided to pass, but mainly because I’ve depotted so many eyeshadows form my old urban decay and other palettes that I can make my own version of this. My shadows are pretty old, but still do the job & I have added a matte dusty pink color and a shimmery baby pink to mine. 🤪

I’m glad to see the variation in the swatches. When I saw the pictures of the palette, I honestly thought “This is a joke. It HAS to be a joke.” It looked like there are 6 virtually identical shades of light gray. So I’m glad that’s not the case. But this is definitely not my color story.

Such a great review! I appreciate that you always gives us looks that are wearable. I really dislike that brands´ sites and Instagrams only feature looks that can only be used in the catwalk or a crazy photoshoot.
Also appreciate your comparison with the Colourpop Blowin Smoke. It´s one of my favourite palettes from Colourpop and the deep smokey looks I create with it always get many compliments from people. I will definitely pass on the ND one.

This is very glitter heavy in the shimmers. I'm not digging that part. I have a rimmel palette I think its called smoke and I like it better than ND xenon. I also have the Jeffree Star cremated palette which I like as well. Trust me, bc of the price of ND I wont be picking this up. If I want something like this, CP will take care of my issue.

Hi Jen, thanks for your (always) in-depth video. I think I got mine palette tomorrow. I’m going to start to create looks with this one only but I have a gut feeling that this one pairs incredibly well with the “I Need a Nude”. Don’t get me wrong I love that last palette on his own but I love to play with darker colors so this way I have best off both worlds. Have a fantastic Thursday. Talk to you soon.
