Mini Gold was my first ND mini and remains my favorite. Gold and Biba are the two I’ve hit pan on and are my favorite two. I love Glam, too. I’ve used Pastel more than I thought I would as a companion to other palettes this summer!
I love the mini palettes. In my humble opinion, it's just a matter of what you personally want out of and every day on the go palette. They are all awesome in their own way. I lean into peaches, mauves, and bronze. Plenty of that in her range. I think I like mini Biba MORE than the original Biba.
I think the mini-series of ND are the best choice for a person who starts applying makeup or is not that capable of applying it. The choices in a single palette don't overwhelm the person and I love that. They are small enough to fit in a travel bag, and you have somewhat of various shades to choose from. What I really love about her formulas is that they are creamy. Love love love that, because for me personally, I can easily blend the shadows, and I mostly don't have to worry about any fallout and how to clean that without smudges.
My first ND mini palette was the Mini Biba. Then I got the Baby Gold around the holidays. I enjoy watching her tutorials on how to use each new mini that comes out.
I LoVe the minis…and midis…and all of them. The quality is so good on the mini/midis. Nude, Zendo, Sunset, Biba are probs my fave minis, in that order 😃 . The mini Glam irritated my eyes 😱 LoVe this video!! Thanks for all the great content 🤩 🙌🏻
Totally agree with your picks. I only have the mini Glam and the mini metropolis, and I reach into the mini Glam SO much more because it’s that reliable neutral palette. You make me want to pick up the mini zendo! It looks beautiful on you and sounds like a very versatile little 5 pan

Star is my favorite mini. I wish I could love mini nude like everyone else does, but it turns a sickly yellow on me. The darker metallic in it is beautiful though and the reason I haven’t decluttered it.
I haven’t used any minis enough to pick a favorite. Or even top few. I have used mini Zendo the most because I’m working on panning it. I don’t get the cool silver with the other warm shades but the looks are always pretty. I’ve been using Bare as a blush and on my skin tone it looks perfect.

The looks are limited but I've always liked it. I collect the ND mini-palettes, baby palettes and 5-pan palettes. I even hunt on eBay and Mercari for her 5-pan Boxycharm-Itsy palette releases. Peak is a go to favorite from those releases. love the (in general) creaminess, lack of fallout snd staying power of ND eyeshadows. Additionally, the packaging of the 3 and 5-pan shadows are compact and secure. These are eyeshadows I travel with. You inspired me to get the Zendo palette. Thanks again for another great, entertaining and informative video. I'm now waiting for your review of our girl Sonia G.'s re-release/update of the original Face brushes. 😊😊😊

I loved the Mini nude so much, I bought three in case, like there's a makeup apocalypse and they should run out and never be able to make them again, I wanted extra. Yes, I'm weird. I love her formula, and her shimmers really shine in my opinion. She also nails her warm tones for me, so that they lean slightly pink, but not too pink. Like a cross between taupe and a warmer brown. I don't know, she just nails it. You look gorgeous, by the way. Wonderful, informative video. Thank you.

I don't have any of these and now I want them all 😢😅😂. I love ND and have quite a few of her midis but only a few minis. I use to think the minis contained colors from their larger namesakes so didn't pay much attention if I had the larger palette. I missed out on a couple really beautiful ones but the mini gold I'm sad about.

Thanks for the explanations and the live swatches. I am thinking of buying some of her mini palettes, but couldn't decide with which ones to start. I personally love pinks and rose shades, so I do gravitate towards buying the Mini Crush and Mini Love palettes that you didn't mention here because as you mentioned, they are not the shades you use the most. I personally do not like the Mini Gold because I'd never use those green shades. It's just not my cup of tea. But I understand why you ranked it that high. I wonder now what you think about the Mini Retro and if you have the My Mini Dream. The My Mini Dream I think looks great. The Mini Retro for me personally I am on the fence again due to the green tones. I just don't see myself wearing them. I have noticed that it's not that easy to get a full pink palette nowadays. They have always too many red or violet shades mixed with it. I like the shades of her midi Love face palette, but I don't think I would use the blush and the glow that much. I wish she would put those exact shades in a mini palette.

Huge palettes are more of a 21st century thing; in older times shadows would come in singles, duos, quads and sometimes 6 shades with Dior and Clinique. My first ND Mini was the Mini Lila. I love that palette, people griped so much about how it wasn’t blendable but that’s not my experience at all. It’s a beautiful palette for dark brown eyes. My most reached-for Mini is the Mini Rétro. As much as I loathe the Midi Retro Glam palette for its crappy performance, the Mini Rétro is just perfection and was so unique when it launched. I also have Mini Glam, Nude, Gold and Love but they’re not as amazing for me. You’re making me want the Mini Biba😂, but I just got the PMG mothership Divine Rose, so Biba isn’t much of a priority anymore.

I think Biba would be my number 1, I find myself bringing this one the most to trips and it always looks stunning! While I love, love, love the idea of the Gold and the colors in the pan or when I do swatches it does not look great on my eyes. Especially Lodge does make me look kind of sick. Similar feelings for Harlow in the Mini Glam. After seeing your video I feel inspired though to give Mini Gold another go today, this time in combination with the Camu Camu eyeliner!
Yes, and those Mayte undertones in gold can be tricky. Which is why I need to practice with it more. Perhaps because some of the mustard leaning ones can definitely read “sick” 🤣 The matte in mini gold I feel is more neutral leaning, and can be controlled by lightly dusting the edges, and not going in with it head on through the crease.

I have 5 minis in total, so i have a top 3, The mini Gold is the first I bought and can't be demoted, same resons as you said, next on my fav is the Mini Star, I take it with me in every citybreak, vacation; and the third is the Mini retro. All of them can provide more than 1 tone to the eyelook, and I love the texture of the "sparkly- arkly" shadows 😃
I have all the big palettes but I am really starting to like minis and other quads, they are so convenient and easy to travel with. A few swipes and go. Beautiful work looks every time.

Great choices! The mini glam has slowly become one I reach for but the light shade was too powdery so I added some oil to it which worked a lot better. My favorite one is still mini retro.
Dear how do you store these minis; as I have bought many and all, all are broken or almost from their lid. I feel so upset of their low quality and they are not so cheap 😢. (Has this happened just to me 🤔😢???) Thank you for sharing 🌷!!!

Girl. It will be rough going for awhile. My sister is doing it too. She has terrible skin problems. I’m in my fourth month and I can’t believe the difference. Vaseline will really help during the itchy, adjustment phase. I found a soap on Amazon called Grandma’s lye soap that really dissolves my makeup well. I’ll send you a bar of it.

I’m trying to get a hand of the water cupping method described. I think I understand, but will practice more. The eczema patches on my shins surprisingly have been behaving. They itch mostly after a shower (or rinse 🤣). What are your thoughts about nails and oils? I wonder if this method extends to hair and nails in a similar way.
I'm not sure. I don't think nails are the same because they are not really there to excrete things. They protect and reinforce the finger tips. I'm still using polish. I figure if I am doing the right things for most of my skin, that's better than before. I spent YEARS trying to find a cream or serum for under my eyes that would work with concealer. My dumb ass self should have used nothing. My concealer wears perfectly on my bare skin.🤦🏻♀️ Your soap should be there Tuesday.
Respect your choices, BUT not convinced. ALL your looks look pretty similar. This leads me to think that if I ever want to spend money on ND palettes, it'll have to be on a full palette...cause THOSE minis simply falls short for my taste and style.

Mini Glam is my fave ND palette! I purchased the Glam palette because I love Mini Glam so much, and I missed some of the subtle camel-leaning tones.

Girl. It will be rough going for awhile. My sister is doing it too. She has terrible skin problems. I’m in my fourth month and I can’t believe the difference. Vaseline will really help during the itchy, adjustment phase. I found a soap on Amazon called Grandma’s lye soap that really dissolves my makeup well. I’ll send you a bar of it.
@@KB0101 thank you! I was searching for a soap that fit the book’s criteria but found that most didn’t fit the bill 😅 And you just lather and gently move the suds across? I’m trying to get a hand of the water cupping method described. I think I understand, but will practice more. The eczema patches on my shins surprisingly have been behaving. They itch mostly after a shower (or rinse 🤣). What are your thoughts about nails and oils? I wonder if this method extends to hair and nails in a similar way.
I'm not sure. I don't think nails are the same because they are not really there to excrete things. They protect and reinforce the finger tips. I'm still using polish. I figure if I am doing the right things for most of my skin, that's better than before. I spent YEARS trying to find a cream or serum for under my eyes that would work with concealer. My dumb ass self should have used nothing. My concealer wears perfectly on my bare skin.🤦🏻♀️

Respect your choices, BUT not convinced. ALL your looks look pretty similar. This leads me to think that if I ever want to spend money on ND palettes, it'll have to be on a full palette...cause THOSE minis simply falls short for my taste and style.
That’s true, and this list would’ve been more diverse if I included Love or Pastel. Thing is I don’t reach for those shades as often 🤷🏽♀️
