Hey! This video and the comments were super helpful. I ran hot water through the fabric softener compartment until the siphoning started to work. Then based on the other comments, I pulled off the bottom blue part to clean that out. It was full of mold. Since then, we pull the whole tray out after every wash, and set it on a towel on top of the machine to let it dry out and prevent mold.
I found that mold was the problem. It was preventing the water from totally siphoning out of that area. I took the blue top off and the blue bottom off and totally cleaned it and now it works like it should. I was really surprised by how much mold had built up on the bottom peace.
Hey randomly came across this vid but may have an idea. So i believe these work on a siphon effect. You’re only pointing at one half. The other half of the “tube” should be on the blue piece you removed. The thin gap between the inner and outer tube allows the siphon to suck up liquid almost to the bottom. Why one is working and the other is not: One guess there is a crack in the blue tube half. Or the gap between the inner/outer tube is warped and the siphon loses suction. Some tape/glue around the blue tube side may fix it - depending on the location of a crack/damage. Or a new blue top piece. Anyway it’s a 2 part siphon system. Bit of a pain but so long as the bleach is getting pulled in, a little pooling water is not the worst either. Best of luck with it.
Interesting concept. I’m going to look at it more carefully. In the comments people say they have water leftover in one side or the other … and that the repair guy said it’s normal. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Thanks! I was hoping the RUclips community would help.

Wow, thank you for that info!
I found mold on the underside of dispenser and inside where the drawer goes.
How to take apart and clean the dispensing unit video would be great.
Nice try, but you really didn't answer the WHY? the water stays in the dispenser section. On to the next RUclips expert! LOL
