Lynette Shooter aww I’m sorry you had to go through that? How has it been? Do you have children? I can’t imagine going through that. The saddest thing to me to to think about how lovers never get to die to together. (Well hardly ever) It’s so sad to think that I will have to live without my partner one day or he will have to live without me. I do believe there is such a thing as dying from a broken heart. I’ve seen it happen before ( I’m a nurse who currently works with elderly). I hope you’re holding up okay and that you have friends or family to support you.

I loved being alone when I was younger. It was my cat and me. No pants. Loud music. And lots of naps. :) Embrace the season you're in and then when you move into a new one, learn to love that, too.

I loved this video! I’m single and live alone. I’ve been living alone for over a year. I love it!! There were definitely times when I felt lonely in the beginning but honestly most of the time now I am grateful to have my own space. Also, just because I like alone doesn’t mean I’m always alone. Lol. I definitely spend a lot of time with friends and family. But I do agree that learning to feel like we are enough and valuable on our own is an amazing lesson! I think the loneliness I felt in the beginning was because I was used to being distracted by others and their company and being alone forced me to sit with my uncomfortable emotions of not feeling like I was enough. I had to confront them and now I think I’m more confident in myself and I’m developing better self-compassion and self-love, which is amazing. I think everyone should learn to spend more time alone. This is all true.. wow... I am going through a "cleanse" right now... I lost who I was because I would always hang around people and adjust my interests to them. I lost who I was... I forgot to pay attention to my needs and what I want and I gave up a lot of it too for others. I had to be broken before I realized this. Now I am alone most of the time, it t difficult. Lonely at first, but just keep going, figure out who you are for yourself and what you like and go do it by yourself. You'll realize yeah, it gets lonely but it actually is fun knowing this new "friend" you see everyday in the mirror.
I miss living alone! Being able to eat whatever you want every night, and watch whatever you feel like every time you watch something - even if that is sex and the city or friends for the 100th time in a row. So frickin good.

I'm so happy you mentioned viewers who have children at the end. :) I am a new mom and have realized now more than ever the importance of self-care. When I take care of myself and my cup is full, I have so much more to give to my baby. I am happier, more connected, more present and patient, and it makes me stronger to handle the challenging moments. Sometimes it's as simple as taking 1-2 hours to myself while someone watches her to do something like get a massage, go shopping, go for a walk, etc. Sometimes it's easy to get off track so thank you for inspiring me to stay on track with self-care

This really was the perfect timing to watch this video. I’m single now, a 22 year old working Sunday to Thursday and i do enjoy doing things alone but only for a short while and then i go out to my friends do things. Since I started my single journey, I’ve done my first “official” photoshoot, bought a guitar to learn, trying to learn two dances to record, got a new tattoo and piercing and I’m planning a Miami trip with my girls. I am happy but im still doing this search to find myself and my interests and im excited for what I learn. But there is still this feeling that i need to learn about actually being alone and this video really made that thought come forward in my mind so that i can stop running around doing all this stuff with people but also by myself. Aw thanks for referencing us mamas! My husband sent me away on a 2 day vacation. It was very relaxing. And he puts our daughter to bed so i can have like 5 hours to myself to decompress, journal, meditate, take a bath, workout etc. Its so self loving! Xo

Great video and amazing topic! Living and especially traveling alone was such an important event in my life. I realised that I can do whatever I want. Like going to the cinema alone or eating in a restaurant. Yes, it wasn't the best experience ever, but just knowing that I survived it and can do it again with less anxiety, is really empowering. I think that while it is important to try to be a better person, it is even more important to know and accept yourself the way you are.

I have been living alone for almost 2 months now and while I have loved it, I still struggle with it at times as I have always lived with family, friends, or a partner. Some days have been really hard and I don't know what to do with myself and other days I can't imagine living any other way. This advice is great and has allowed me to think a little more about what I'm feeling on those hard days and why.
Love this topic would love it if you could do another on this topic but more detailed. Circumstances have forced me to be on my own as much as I love my own company I feel the pain of that comes with not having anybody. This video is so incredible and speaks to things that I've been thinking about on a daily basis. I've been struggling with making sure I'm making decisions for me and not just for the expectations of the people around me. And ive been asking myself how do I know if Im making my decisions or Im just following what the people around me are doing/saying/thinking. I enjoy my alone time. I am married and have 3 kids. Alone time is a precious thing. My husband works nights 4 days In a row every other week, and I love that time to myself. I binge watch my shows and eat whatever I want, and stay up late.

I love this so much! I swear we are so much alike. Great points & all so true. I’ve spent the last several years alone (me and my husband are long distance but we’re close in the process of getting to be together! 😍) and honestly I’ve learned so much. I always thought I was weird for liking to be alone, so this makes me feel better! Haha. I feel recharged when I get my alone time! You learn independence for sure, which is sooo important.

👍 have read some below comments. And i personally champion that i live alone and thoroughly enjoy cooking. Do i wish i could share some of my well prepared meals ? Yes, of course. But that doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of a well prepared meal. Plus i don’t want unwanted extemporaneous conversation and i like to watch what i want, on tv,computer,. Etc. Selfish? Maybe. I’m gonna be 21 in 2 months and I just moved into an apartment on my own for the first time. I know I’m gonna be on my own for a few months until my mom’s boyfriend‘s daughter and her friend are going to come live with me. So I found this video at the right time, thank you.

Aw thanks for referencing us mamas! My husband sent me away on a 2 day vacation. It was very relaxing. And he puts our daughter to bed so i can have like 5 hours to myself to decompress, journal, meditate, take a bath, workout etc. Its so self loving! Xo

Living and especially traveling alone was such an important event in my life. I realised that I can do whatever I want. Like going to the cinema alone or eating in a restaurant. Yes, it wasn't the best experience ever, but just knowing that I survived it and can do it again with less anxiety, is really empowering.
I think that while it is important to try to be a better person, it is even more important to know and accept yourself the way you are.

This has been really helpful, thank you. I have been living alone for almost 2 months now and while I have loved it, I still struggle with it at times as I have always lived with family, friends, or a partner. Some days have been really hard and I don't know what to do with myself and other days I can't imagine living any other way. This advice is great and has allowed me to think a little more about what I'm feeling on those hard days and why.

This video is so incredible and speaks to things that I've been thinking about on a daily basis. I've been struggling with making sure I'm making decisions for me and not just for the expectations of the people around me. I enjoy my alone time. I am married and have 3 kids. Alone time is a precious thing. My husband works nights 4 days In a row every other week, and I love that time to myself. I binge watch my shows and eat whatever I want, and stay up late.

I love this so much! I swear we are so much alike. Great points & all so true. I’ve spent the last several years alone (me and my husband are long distance but we’re close in the process of getting to be together! 😍) and honestly I’ve learned so much. I always thought I was weird for liking to be alone, so this makes me feel better! Haha. I feel recharged when I get my alone time! You learn independence for sure, which is sooo important.

👍 have read some below comments. And i personally champion that i live alone and thoroughly enjoy cooking. Do i wish i could share some of my well prepared meals ? Yes, of course. But that doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of a well prepared meal. Plus i don’t want unwanted extemporaneous conversation and i like to watch what i want, on tv,computer,. Etc. Selfish? Maybe.
