I've been enjoying it under my feet in the morning. It's so soft! Glad you liked it.

Meant to also say, Eucalan is wonderful. I have used it for years. You don’t have to rinse it out. Such a benefit, and I use it very sparingly.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to describe these elf slippers. I don’t think they are the ones you mentioned although those sound very intriguing.. these you start out at the center of the sole. You cast on double the length of the slipper and knit garter stitch for one and a half inches. This long piece gets folded in half and becomes the bottom of the slipper. The ends join and become the heel. The center becomes the toe. You switch to stockingette and decrease two stitches every row on either side of four center stitches. The rapid decrease makes the toe curl up. I’m trying to tweak it to make a smoother heel and I’m knitting it in the same yarn as I used in your felted slipper pattern. This way I can felt them too. I am enjoying these first felted stitches so much! You know how warm and comfortable they are. I’m thinking this heel tweak would work with them too. If it turns out I could send it to you.I’m in Georgia at my sons house. My granddaughter turned six. They are at a museum and the house is quiet. Your video is my treat.

That pattern sounds interesting! I would like to understand it -- maybe you could send instructions or a link? I do love these felted slippers more and more. Over time, wool items just seem to get softer and more wonderful to wear! Enjoy your time there :)

This is amazing. I was just last week trying to knit the elf slippers without the seam down the center of the sole. I had to give up, and I wondered if it would be possible to do it with the magic loop. I’ve never done the magic loop but I need to learn.

Nancy, it's definitely a skill worth learning, esp. if you like using circular needles. I tried to knit slippers with the seam down the sole, but it didn't work well for me.

Thanks, Lori! I sent you a reply. The little rug is now tucked next to my bed and I've enjoyed it. So has the cat, haha. I think the pets like that alpaca aroma!
