So you got a charmander but it's not in your party or box which means you never got it but if you never got it and gary got one by default.... that means you're gary.

Xela Gan The team that you saw was because the first loadout for Blue is the team that was shown. Since it's the first thing the game knows, it automatically picks that team since there's nothing to argue against.
Charmander was not dead, it was just in Red's backpack where he keeps the empty Pokeballs, and then he evolved into a Voltorb and that is how Voltorbs are made.
Charmander didn't die, guys. He's just literally your 7th Pokémon. Since you can't normally interact with this slot without glitching, he's effectively gone, but should be retrievable.
When you pick Charmander when you have full party, it's still added to your party, but on the 7th slot. I don't know if you get access to it without glitch/cheat, but if you can, check it.
im guessing fossils will work the same way the eevee worked. but in the first pokemon with no pokemon when you walked from the north you walked to oblivion, what about from the east of west? also what about if you get an accounter while you are supposed to be following Prof oak? and what happens if using that glitched pokedex you see all the pokemon? and what happens if your glitched pokemon dies against a trainer or something. Ghost against no pokemon?

You know the Q glitch? It gives you 255 pokemon. It's kinda the same in here.
The game does not actually assume you have Bulbasaur. It's just that Charmander is the standard starter. As you've got no starter at all, Gary picked the standard starter
I tried Pokemon without Pokemon yesterday, I went to Lavender town and that Pokemon Tower, funny thing was that healing zone. When I walked in it, the normal Pokemon Center discussion opened and when I clicked yes, suddenly 6 balls dropped to floor and finally weird sprites filled whole screen, just like in Pokemon Center. After some time the sprites disappeared, but I was stuck. The game didn't freeze, but I wasn't able to move. I heard click when used A and B buttons, but nothing happened. And with walk through walls cheat I was able to get past Marowak's ghost and get Pokemon flute :)
Hey, if you do another, could you try battling Gary again after you've battled him at Cerulean (before getting a starter) and after getting a starter? I'd like to see if it let's him keep Charmander or not.
I only wonder if you face your rival before picking a starting Pokémon, making him have the default Charmander, then go back and pick a Squirtle for yourself, would he still have the Charmander on the next time you encounter him, or rather a Bulbasaur, which no doubt he'd be picking up from the table as a starter to counter your Squirtle.. Or maybe even both?

I think Charmander was actually in the box, but you cant see the inside of the box because you had your party full. First, you should let in one pokemon, and later acceded to the box and see what is inside.
It makes sense that Green has a Charmander, since originally Green (or Blue) canonically chooses Charmander while Red chooses Bulbasaur. It makes more sense considering that Bulbasaur is N°1 in the Pokedex, not to mention there's artwork of Red, Green and a nameless girl (wich is Blue) having the 3 starters respectively. And then they made Charmander Red's starter and Blue/Green's starter being Squirtle because yes. Or because dragons are cool or whatever. (Not saying that charmander's a bad Pokemon or anything, I just do no understand why they changed it just like why they translated Green's name to Blue)
Can you actually get to Johto with the no clip cheat? I don't think I ever seen anyone try before. And with all the glitches ext the original games had it wouldn't surprise me if it may actually be possible especially if game freak and Nintendo planned in advance for johto to exist
No one's commenting on the fact that in that first rival battle, his Charmander's Leer & Ember both missed? According to Bulbapedia, each of those has an accuracy of ~99.6% in Gen 1. Those are some pretty long odds. Perhaps the glitches messed with the accuracy, or maybe you just got lucky.
In Gen 1, AI is hardcoded in a way that made status moves miss 25% of the time. It’s also a thing in Gen 2! These misses are pretty common coming from AI

wilddog73 Yeah, like I said, use Route 21 instead of Route 1. Pallet Town has two entrances/exits... the grass to the north, and the water to the south. As long as you don't try to get in or out of Pallet town via the north, you don't have to worry about Oak.
Blue's choice... Blue has 3 different teams. If you picked Bulbasaur, he'll have Charizard. If you picked Charmander, he'll have Blastoise. If you picked Squirtle, he'll have Venusaur. Otherwise, it'll be Charizard you fight. No starter with full party... Here's some pseudocode that may describe this operation. if (pokemon count < 6) then { give starterPicked } Because there is no "else", the missing starter won't be deposited into the box. A not as long comment, not many things have happened in this video.
