    THIS.
You just explained how last year I learned to love drawing more by drawing ‘whenever I felt like it’ and how much more happier I felt no matter the quality. Social media did have me running in a loop of needing to draw a specific way almost daily, and despite the improvement, mentally I wasn’t interested in the process and don’t care for it after posting it.
I feel like the advice I’ve given myself to draw whenever opens this freedom to experiment more without the pretext of it being ‘work/ a challenge’.
Tho, funnily enough, I had the idea to draw everyday this month as a way to try the new art supplies I’ve bought, but it went as well as you said, lol 😅 I even had that feeling of being overwhelmed by negativity from not catching up on those prompts.
My guess is that no matter how simple ‘drawing everyday’ sounds, sometimes it’s better to let your mind rest for when you really have the craving for it.
I think this video’s a sign or like a reminder for me to go back to the ‘draw whenever’ mindset I had last yr. so thanks for that 🤗🥰✨
((Btw, noticed the color wheel in background is the same as the one I have which is neat.))

I was told that, in order for the art business I started to be successful, I have to find my art style and stick with it. People should be able to recognize my art just by looking at it. I was so busy focusing on what my style is that I lost some of the love for discovering what and how I like to paint. I'm not in it to crank out pieces like a machine. I'm in it to make what resonates with me and support my art supply habit. 😂
