I've found that chanting the names of runes is great for accessing their magical properties, even without physically carving them. For instance, Algiz is great fro protective magic and Fehu is great for attracting wealth.
I started dabbling in the runes now for a couple of years. I found Jackson’s books very knowledgeable on this subject. As far as getting a tat of a bind rune like you said. Do your research. Very good video
Love Bindrunes!!! Definitely takes time to study and combine them in an effective way. I really like Same-Stave Bindrunes for the ease of making in long form, Sigil/ combined Bindrunes can be a little more tricky outside the simple 2 or 3 Rune combos. Well done brother great video, skal!!!
Fwiw, I've always asked the gods if something's troubling me in life what I need to know, then do a regular three rune spread, thank the gods with an offering, and then I always find the three runes give me the perfect perspective, and those are what become the bindrune that I carry with me. They are always better than what I could have come up with on my own.

I know that some runes have negative effects if turned upside down. When creating a bindrune for a tattoo, what would be the best way to ensure that this doesn’t happen when it is placed on your skin to be tattooed? I hope you can understand my question!😊
Where are other ways how to make bindrunes too, like with 3 Kenaz runes, which is still being used to annotate Seargant rank; or the forward key on your remote with two Backwards Kenaz runes, showing how much you need to look inwardly. It also matters where your bindrune looks. With the anarchy sign Isa + Kenaz it matters there the Kenaz was opened, because the other side will see the Thurz rune and you could get the same effect as with the backwards Sunsign or Svastika, there you go against the flow of the world and do your own bidding much like Loki. You can also use 3 Tyr runes to draw a cube, which I believe is used as a brand for a gaming company. The double Reito is more of a family crest of people with the Initials R.R who own a ranch. Why else would you use runes corresponding horses and journey. The problem is, that the two Reito form Othalaz, which is the rune of possession. So if you dont have a name on you, what you need to make renown, it could prove tricky to use such a rune, for say a shamanic journey or such, because it could have some unwanted consequences, like somebody laying claim on you. Bindrunes are like speaking dialect. A word what could be ok in yours, could be a slur in the other like the word hallitus -- which meams government in finnish but mold in estonian. It kinda annoyed me, then you drew your sigil, because the Algiz rune was one way, and the Uruz rune other way around. Normally its the unwritten rune, that you read from top to bottom, having the runes drawn the same way, unless you want their opposite meaning. Shouldnt it rather look like an incomplete Pertro rune because you are complimenting the Algiz and putting an additional stave connected to it, because the horns of the bull are bound so to speak. It would also reverberate your goal in binding the forces of chaos and containing it. You could have used instead of Uruz Ehwas. So you could overcome the forces of chaos through progress and loyalty. Also it looks more stylized on the sigil. Plus Hagalaz can be drawn as a snowflake, so I wonder, why did you go with the more clunky form, than the one, which would have blended together with the six staves going around? I created a Freyja bindrune that my ex got tattood on him after we broke up without my permission. It now feels off to get it tattood on myself. Even tho I feel closely connected to the bindrune...it still bothers me.

Learning the meanings of the individual runes is where to start. If you see a Bindrune that doesn't make sense based on the runes and their properties I would question that bindrune

My method is usually to practice and play around in pencil first as it feels less "permanent" then once I have one I like switch to ink
