Personally we have never tried using the bios flash utility we have always used a usb boot drive with dos flash utilities. So we cant really say if it's good or not but It probably should work.
We generally play with so many different motherboards that not all of them offer BIOS flash utilities. So our natural go to for bios updating is DOS.
If you give it ago let us know if it works well or not.
      Thank you.

The 7zip benchmarks on these kind of quadcores is cool because it means you can use 4way parallel blake2b processing. That gets used (aside from whatsapp) in IPFS. So IPFS (especially if somebody has a mboard they set up with a nice network card range and btrfs or zfs) is definitely a nice system to learn on. Then of course some linux gaming can be done on spare days.
Learning Alt-Tech is better than settling for shadowbanned socialmedia or considering "twitch" or "discord" an 'alterative' when instead one can self-host (at least in part). I think bitchute is a classic example of a nonsense misonomer of Alt-Tech when people go there from being sick of failing to connect audience engagement via youtube comments (shaowbanning), and so they discover that the comments there are "Diqus" which is just as bad in its own ways. Disqus is definitely not AltTech. WebTorrent videos are AltTech but not the disqus comments.
Having something like a combination of xmpp and IPFS (or something similar) is an example of true Alt-Tech because you can control it yourself (albeit a decentralised and distrubuted mashup), like saving conference chat client-side in Pidgin-IM for xmpp. Ironically googlechat once used xmpp and so replacing part of that YT/google funcionality with xmpp is a legit move and fair.
Comments/conference-rooms (chat)/ and videos (stream of pre-recorded upload) are all part of the gaming experience.
So the 7zip is a good finger-in-the-wind to show what a chip can do. It's a reason to crack out the quadratic equations and polynomials (blake) to write _"good enough code that will do a job"_ for gaming or something like IPFS.
These little chips (q6600 or xeon) are great for _"having a spare PC to do some gaming"_ (any port in a storm at a LAN party etc.). I think also it is particularly relevant being the server code nature of what I've described is exactly what a server chip can be used for, and so the grey area of usages for such chips works out nicely for the chips.

Good news, we stumbled across some of our bios files for 771 mods.
I have put a page up on GitHub at the moment, eventually we plan to launch this web site with a proper domain.
But we have got the files up there at the moment.
We have not had a chance to look through the stuff, So let us know if anything is missing.
      anyway here is the Link.

      I hope that helps.
Thanks for watching and being a part of the OFFbit community.
