Bruckheimer has said it was never written, discussed, or planned that Connery was actually Bond. That being said, this is not a denial of your statement, Robert. I'm on board with you. There are so many things that point to that that it makes you wonder if it wasn't at least subconscious. It's a fun and worthy theory regardless of what Bruckheimer says about their intent.
Ive seen this movie at least 20 times but watching it with you two made it like it was the first time again. Loved seeing you on the edge of your seats.
Oh wow! I haven't seen those 3 in a long time! You just gave me 3 movies to revisit! ❤ thank you! And yes, the rock was definitely amazing and kept me on edge the entire time 😊
7:56 the one in the shades is John C. McGinley, he's starred in over a dozen films. His well known ones are Platoon, Point Break, Surviving the Game, Seven, Set It Off, Any Given Sunday, Identity, Wild Hogs. He was on the show Scrubs.
Other good Sean Connery movies: "The Hunt for Red October" (1990) based on a book by Tom Clancey "A Bridge Too Far" (1977) about WW2 Operation Market Garden based on a historical book by reporter Cornelius Ryan "Entrapment" (1999) "The Wind and the Lion" (1975) based on real events "The Presidio" (1988) "Rising Sun (1993) based on a book by Michael Crichton "Robin and Marion" (1976) "The Untouchables" (1987) based on real events "Outland" (1981) and of course his 7 James Bond movies
One of Michael Bay's best action movies of his career. There were talks of a Sequel to the movie, it was going to involve Nic Cage's character Goodspeed going on the run to prove his innocence after he's accused of trying to sell the microfilm on the black market. It was cancelled as Sean Connery, RIP, retired from acting, Michael Bay was too busy working on The Island, Bad Boys 2 and Transformers, while Nic Cage was working on the National Treasure films.
Wow. Maybe one day there will be a sequel. Sans Sean Connery (RIP), of course. Last year we recorded a reaction to The Island. It hasn't made it's way to either Patreon or RUclips yet, because it was a three camera, three person video, and those are way hard to edit. But it will be appearing within the next few months.
This is basically stuff for two movies. I could watch Nicolas Cage chasing Sean Connery or them both freeing alcatraz for two hours each. What a journey this video was, first class 😎💪
One minor thing about this movie when Mason comes to Goodspeed he says he can't swim because he's too old but he swam to the island and later on away so he's doing it to save face. Also the music playing is the same as when he meets his daughter so the scene takes on a father son motiff
😂😂😂😂😂 In watching this I laughed so hard I had to rewind back to the spot to rewatch what I missed 😂. It just came right out and I totally forgot about that part 😅❤
Hi Toy, Tori & Boo!🙂Tori looking adorable as always. I hope Boo & Shadow are doing OK. This is a real 90s action film! It feel like it shares some DNA with "Con Air" (1997), another film produced by Jerry Bruckheimer which also stars Nicholas Cage. Chemical weapons are super scary, as they're invisible and usually by the time you're attacked it's too late. Ed Harris (head bad guy) has been in many movies. Toy, I think you recently saw hilm in "Top Gun: Maverick" as the guy that wants to shut down Maverick's flight at the beginning of the film. He is also in "Apollo 13" (1995) a great film that came out a year before this one. He can be seen in a younger role in "Creepshow" (1982). Your reactions to the kills in this are hilarious, ladies!😄Great reactions to The Rock, Ladies!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Awesome reactions from Toy and Tori for this amazing film. And thanks to the incredible performance by Sean Connery, I do like to think that this IS a Bond sequel! :)
there are some good theory videos that break down why it very conceivably could be him according to the existing bond timeline. he also says some very bond-esque things like 'but of course you are' and a few other bond lines.
Thank for reacting to this movie. This movie, Raising Arizona (1987), Moonstruck (1987), Wild at Heart (1990), Fire Birds (1990), Red Rock West (1993), Guarding Tess (1994), Trapped in Paradise (1994), Kiss of Death (1995), Con Air (1997), Face/Off (1997), Snake Eyes (1998), 8MM (1999), Bringing Out the Dead (1999), Gone in 60 Seconds (2000), Windtalkers (2002), Lord of War (2005) and Bangkok Dangerous (2008). Are all my favorite Nicolas Cage movies. Please react to them all. You love definitely enjoy them guaranteed.
Face/Off, Con-Air & The Rock are some of Nicholas Cage's best, and some of the best action films in the 90s or perhaps even until today. This movie also has a super fantastic soundtrack that doesn't just perfectly fit the whole plot and action scenes but also the theme in general. This film really hits hard about the betrayal of the marines, getting left behind to die by the government and then their families got shitted on too. Great reaction u 2.
Awesome reaction ladies 😊! Ya'lls reaction reminded me of my sisters because they were just like ya'll when they first saw this movie on its initial release 😂! The mid-90's were filled with some good shows like "Face/Off" (1997), "Broken Arrow" (1996) and "Con-Air" (1997).
When this Film was released in 1996, The Rock debuted in the WWE that same Year. 😉 This was Michael Bay's second Film. The First One of his Career is a real Blast too. 😊👌🏻
Sadly VX nerve agent does indeed exist. Short for "venomous agent X", is one of the best known of the V nerve agents and was first discovered in the 50's. The crazy thing is there are worse things out there.
Michael Bay gets a bad rap, possibly deservedly so for some of his films, but this is an action classic. A stellar cast helps, and if you get the chance you need to watch the youtube compilation of the outtakes from this film, they range from absolutely hilarious (Connery) to disturbingly intense (Harris).

Tony Todd, Ed Wood Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage, and many others whose names slip my mind at this time. A fantastic story, with compelling characters and a narrative that most Americans in todays crazy political climate can certainly get on board with in some facet or another. Since all of these modern high action films are making you both so anxious, aside from the already dream reaction of Grumpier Old Men, a move that is both light hearted and fun that I highly recommend is Duck Soup by the Marx Brothers. Oh, and the actor that plays Womac is an absolute banger of an actor, was fantastic in The West Wing, which is a show I highly recommend to everyone, not because I necessarily agree with the politics within the show, but the way everything is done is pretty spot on, and well acted.
Great movie. You should see Sean Connery in Highlander, The Name Of The Rose (Still as an old man) and his old James Bond movies . Also Nick Cage has some great movies like Con Air , Face Off. The National Treasures movies (Which are both great), Snake Eyes a great thriller. 8 mm a really dark and powerful movie. The Sorcerer Apprentice a really great fantasy comedy movie.

32:40 This, in the 90's, was a win for the nerds like me. Even though, we played sports, our passion was within the brand new internetz. But we couldn't say that. We couldn't say we loved video games, because society, more importantly, girls/women didn't rank it. LOL. The best part, we don't care. We don't ask for an apology . It made us stronger
Its funny how Mason goes through that fire boiler to get to the other side to open the door... When he had to escape, why would he have to go through that? Why wouldnt he just use the door?
24:35 It's a film, in actual science VX won't wipe out a city, but it would wipe out them at that time, in that space. It is not green etc. A scientist actual died from this in England I believe. Been a while since I re-checked it. She was a doctor working near to the samples. England, Porton Down? The only confirmed death In the west I believe? Been a while since I read about it. PLs check me if I am wrong
Just wondering, did the Rock, rock your laies world, lol. It was one of Nic Cage's movies. If you want to see real talented actors act, watch Face Off.
What's your favorite Nic Cage movie quote?
That’s Ed Harris u was wondering about (brig General)
"Have you ever been dragged out to the sidewalk and beaten until you PISSED BLOOOOOOOD!!"

You stepped over Stanley's best line: "Carla _was_ the prom queen."
By coincidence…u ladies rock! 😅. Btw: a common fan theory is that Connery is playing a retired James Bond 😊

4:43 "Feels like" one knows the the world

I couldn't not include The Trolley Problem, which that scene definitely was. 😸
Never forget, we had no hatred against heroes like Mason. Our backlog of Arnold and Sly etc... LOL
Im glad I did not take a shot every time I heard the word "literally"

Its funny how Mason goes through that fire boiler to get to the other side to open the door... When he had to escape, why would he have to go through that? Why wouldnt he just use the door?
8:50 Marines but you got most right
good movie
Agreed 😊😊😊❤❤
24:35 It's a film, in actual science VX won't wipe out a city, but it would wipe out them at that time, in that space. It is not green etc.
A scientist actual died from this in England I believe. Been a while since I re-checked it. She was a doctor working near to the samples. England, Porton Down? The only confirmed death In the west I believe? Been a while since I read about it. PLs check me if I am wrong
Brilliant!!
Just wondering, did the Rock, rock your laies world, lol. It was one of Nic Cage's movies. If you want to see real talented actors act, watch Face Off.
