- There are so many gifts given to us every day that are so easy to overlook. What if we started thanking God for these gifts in a new way? Fr. Mike Schmitz reminds us to appreciate our blessings while we have them, rather than complaining when they are taken from us. Today is Thanksgiving Day.
My brother and I will have our version of Thanksgiving dinner.
My brother has been disabled for 43 years.
We thank God for our blessings each day.
I thank God for him , he has shown me how God helps you when life goes array.
Thank God from whom all Blessings flow, Thank Father, Son and Host Ghost
Use what I have for the benefit of someone else to experience the love of Christ Jesus. If we have breath and life, we have the holy spirit in us, thanks to Jesus! Use what God gives us fo rsomeone elses benefit. That is the essence of humble. To give someone else hope joy and love. Thank you Fr Mike.
Father Mike Schmitz, you truly are such a gorgeous and beautiful man inside and out. You have no idea how much you nourish my soul with your words of comfort and wisdom and your incredible sweet gaze that is always filled with such love and empathy ❤. P.S. I suffer from allergies and sinus pressure as well and what works like a charm to really clear your sinuses is just simple over the counter saline solution. I also take Oregano capsules and it also works great and like a charm to relieve your sinus pressure.
I just overheard my parents saying I was ungrateful... And I don't want them to think that! I never thought I was ungrateful.

Thank you. I discovered a video of yours by what I would normally say was happenstance, but I feel like God put it there for me. I am a wife, mother of 4 kids, and I work. I have felt so overwhelmed. I have been watching your videos this week, and it has fed my spirit more than anything recently. You may never read this, and that is fine. I was given a chocolate fountain years ago as a thank you gift - which I had not asked for or expected. Used it once. Mega pain in the backside to clean. Stayed in storage for years. Finally gave it away. It may well stay there.

I am so grateful for showing me these videos, I’ve been asking for answers to questions and while I wasn’t given direct answers, I was given these videos as a form of wisdom so I know how to answer more questions rather than just the few I had! Truly an example of getting more than you asked for all because of the Lord! These videos came at a great time! I remember getting home and having all this anxiety and I saw a video with a priest in the thumbnail and thought “He probably knows what he’s talking about, maybe I can learn something” and I did ! Good point when I was younger good health now I'm at age 66 I had bone on bone and my knees I had to retire early and I got a knee replacement they are much better but not 100% what I mean by that I'm not hurting anymore I can walk the only problem I have is whenever I'm at church to Neal I can't do very well so I knew part of the way

What if you are ungrateful for your gifts? What if you wished you had a different gift? What if the gift you have isn’t so glamorous? What if you think your gift isn’t helpful to others?
For example ( I know this is cliche) but the “starving artist” is a really good description of this. Since if you’re an artist, your 1 never happy with what you produce 2 what you do produce doesn’t pay well so your often forced to get a job that brings you unhappiness but you got to pay bills 3 most often, what you produce isn’t appreciated until long after your dead.
1 Corinthians Chapter 12
“1 Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

Me too. But, God is merciful and forgives our sins. Do what I do go to confession and confess your sins. No time like the present to take out the spiritual garbage!! Guilt is a waste of time. God is forgiving when we repent and turn to Him. I will pray for you!🙏🙏
