Nice work on that bumper. The owner should have had you do the whole part. Guess he was saving money though. Grant if you are wearing shorts now what you gonna do in the summer?😂 You might want to think about the video titles to bring in more viewers because you really should have a bigger following. Great content from a highly skilled and charismatic creator.
Grant what about UV lacquer any good though it could be a help as your geared up for UV primer,, would improve productivity, don't know what your prices are with all the overheads fuel etc.more than one a day. especially with the longer days build up your funds for shorter poxy winter months.and less customers.👍☔ other people's work you where lucky it didn't pickle up.praise the paint god's for that!🙏.
Another great job Grant, glad you're starting to only do what you're there to do. I know you're proud of the work you do (and rightly so) but it's more complex and costs you money rectifying other people's poor workmanship. More power to you 👍👍👍
Does not matter what game your in , following someone who has not done the job correctly is a nightmare. As normal Grant nice result on the job 👍🏻 What does the Red gun with the ultra violet light do ? Sorry if you have answered this before .
Hats off Grant . Your doing well lad . All the jobs you've done so far look bang on . I've been watching the channel since before the workshop in the old workshop lol . The van looks sweet as to . Keep the videos coming mate I've watched them all as I'm interested in seeing how you do the jobs . Glad to see the new business venture doing well to . Dave
it looked alright when the dealer had it done to sell it,its just your standards are higher than a "can you do it cheaper trade job mate as its for the pitch" ...:-)
Why was it a poor previous repair when it was scuffed looks to me like its just had a previous smart repair which is what you've done nothing wrong with smart repairs but they don't last I run a body shop so I know first place it will go bad is the clear blend area not having a dig its all love
Great one grant. I use the dv1s gun also. I tend to use the 1.0 cap for base coat on 25psi and use the 1.2 cap for clear coat on 30psi (2 bars). What cap do you use on your dvs1 for your clear coat? I find that the 1.0 cap gives a lot of orange peel for clear coats except I go slowly for each pass hence I use the 1.2 cap instead for clear coats.. What is your experience..
I use 1.0 for base and 1.2 for clear I have s1 and s2 caps I can’t remember what one is on what I use the one they said was for clear on the clear if that makes sense
@@grantssmartrepairs watched. Van looks awesome. You are not just a painter, I watch to learn and listen to a real world person. Best of luck with the new venture. David, Perth Western Australia
Good work, are you using standard shade on every job or do you have shade cards ? Also noticed you don't use basecoat blender which is a massive helps when blending awkward colours.
Is your base coat solvent based, i’ve just tried water based for the 1st time. The colour match and blend was mint . Can’t get an ANI 160 like you recommended for love nor money.
more mobile magic Grant well done matey

does it take all day for 1x car or can you do 2 a day
heard you a couple of times saying I,m only doing what i,m paid to do
Depends what you are doing I can do 2 a day if they are small jobs
Hi Grant where did you get your 2inch Sander from thanks mate
It’s a flex polisher
Pxe80 I think it’s called
What do you spray before the primer
That would have been plastic primer
