I just got blocked or deactivated from driving without a warning of any kind. Apparently, "it's time for background check." Why do they always find reasons to kick us offline without warnings? Is this even legal?
I have a question about driving in other states right now. I live in central Massachusetts and drive in Boston, Rhode island, New Hampshire and also Connecticut. Because of where I live all four of those areas have been available for me to work in. Just recently I have noticed when I go to Rhode Island or New Hampshire I can no longer accept trips. It seems like this coincides with all the new Rideshare benefits that Massachusetts has given the drivers. Is there a correlation between our new benefits and not being able to drive in New Hampshire and Rhode Island? I can still drive in Connecticut. I'm unhappy about it because all of these places are about an hour away from me which means they've all been a viable option for me to take trips into those areas. If each time I go into one of those areas now and I'm forced to deadhead then they're no longer an option for me. It definitely limits my potential to earn and I'm not happy about it.
How are you able to pickup riders/drive in more than one state if your car is only registered in the state you live in to be able to do business in just that one state?
@@AbbeyTwynn With Uber, I've always been able to drive in New Hampshire and Rhode Island. CT was added a year or so ago. With Lyft, I wasn't able to drive out of state. I've picked up drivers from other states who come to MA on weekends to make a quick $800 - $1000 while staying at a friend's house between shifts. Just wondered, what's been changed and why. I was told a couple of years ago that Uber was trying to get approval for us to drive in any state. I also drive in ME, but not as often. It's important for drivers living in New England to be able to go into other states because they're all so close. Before CT was added, it made absolutely no sense to go to Manhattan because I couldn't pick up on the return until I got to Sturbridge on 84.
When I first started 9 years ago I was able to drive in Connecticut. Then I wasn't able to drive in Connecticut for quite a few years. But as I said, recently it's been added again and I'm able to go to Connecticut and pick up trips on the way back.
@@philrau2758 We need drivers to be able to cross state lines at Clark County, NV in Laughlin, NV over to Bullhead City, AZ to the IFP airport. People live in AZ and go to work in Nevada but they won't let drivers do pickups in NV if they are only registered to drive in AZ, and vice versa. What makes the New England states different from two border state cities that are also tourist cities on the Colorado River? If drivers are independent contractors, can they get business licenses in each state without having to have a permanent residence in each state? Vehicles can only be registered in the state you live in, right?
I've had days where I've started from my driveway in Massachusetts and gone to Connecticut. Picked up in Connecticut and gone to Rhode Island. Picked up in Rhode Island and taken someone to Logan in Massachusetts. Picked up at Logan or somewhere near Boston and taken them to New Hampshire where I've picked up and gone back to Massachusetts.
While these videos are all helpful it’s all talk. Until all drivers Uber/Lyft STOP DRIVING FOR DAYS AT A TIME, NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE!!! STOP TALKING, ASSEMBLE AND STOP DRIVING FOR A DAY, 2 DAYS, 3 DAYS AND THEN SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
Despite all the financial struggles I and my family faced, everything is finally falling into place! $45,700 weekly gain and riches I'll will always praise the Lord!!!!!

UBER let me get my own commercial insurance and upload it to you, if i don't upload it charge it for your own, but i think they are getting kickbacks from those insurance companies or they own these commercial insurance companies but just by different names period.
I find it odd that they are talking about taking the commercial insurance in-house, when they go to great pains in their driver literature and fine print that Uber is not an insurance provider. Also interesting if you burrow down through the insurance documents regarding coverages in each driving period, the insurance provided on the driver’s behalf, when you look under bodily injury coverage, drivers are conspicuously absent from the list of those who entitled to bodily injury claims. The sample insurance documents Uber provides as an example policy lists Aon as the provider. If they are the sole provider of insurance for Uber, it would be interesting to see if Aon has realized a big uptick in earnings since the influx of new drivers.

Nahhh I've lost about 75% as a full time! Thank God I'm out screw Lyft and uber
I still think these breakdowns are worthless as long as they have more than one item nested on each line.
Right. They should just add 4-5 more lines:
FICA, Medicare/Soc Sec, State, 401k, HC Plan
Ubers deductible is $2500. That is a lot of money
I'm in Massachusetts

Mine is split about 50/50 with all the garbage charges DFW
New York TlC Uber /lyft driver since 2015
The insurance between 450-550 a month!!!
Just another attempt to obfuscate the facts and lie.

Keep it up
Pound for 1$ extra per rides for drivers
I like to share a picture of Uber trip how do I send it?
Uber screwed so many drivers now they're having a acceptance rate problem. 😂
they are also having a customer / pax problem because they know Uber is an illegal predatory "company"
For sure my acceptance rate used to be 95....now it's in the lower teens
Uber takes 30% from me in NY, I get about 48%
I would love to see what type of margins they're going to get on those robo taxis, if that's all they claim to be taking.

@philrau2758 it's based on your market I am 100% sure if that in my market it's impossible..
I’m in New York we provide the commercial insurance 500 a month
