Also you can take off the front and rear plastic body pieces to make it look much smaller and more in line like a e ride pro or talaria. Altis made them removable on purpose for that reason
cool that it exists for sure, but I for one don't need to go 75mph anywhere on an e-moto and I'm also not crazy about that extra weight. The brakes on the surrrons and copies are not the biggest/most robust but I've never had an issue stopping or ocking the rear wheel up or doing stoppies on the front I feel the same way about this as I did about the Ventus One...12kw is really all you need on these bikes. If you want to do motocross or serious trail riding then aa Ultra Bee or Varg with upgrades suspension is still the way to go. No one needs 20kw in their yard or in the public park...
@@shockadellick at the price point you won't find anything better. What other ebike that can do those speeds with that battery size is selling for 5500?

I've been expecting this type of "Outbreak" on these bikes for several years now. You're among the better reviewers to my way of thinking since you actually rode these bikes for years. Few can say this and so I take stock in how you rate these bikes. I expect them to continue breaking thru the top but the big stuff I'm looking for is when the bikes come w/ at least 2 Batteries & those can be quick charged in 2hrs or less. It's possible now but they'll milk all this technology just like they've done w/ all high tech stuff. Stringing us along the whole time. TY much for the work
Great review. I prefer high amps to engage field weakening but the high volts will get you there too. Higher amps = higher torque and simply swapping the sprockets will adjust your speed as well
The only issue I can see with Altis is battery removal. Oh you made a mistake. * The MX3/MX4 weighs 159 lbs * The MX-5 weighs 170 lbs *The Sigma Altis weight is 185... SurRon is behind the curve due to their old school jack-shaft concept.
Hear me out......use affirm, buy small things and pay them off.....work your way up to bigger items. You can buy a handful of emotos with affirm, eride pro ss and sr I know can be. This one, not certain but anyways.....you can take steps, that's how I did it.
I Think a few things worth mentioning about it that were not noted is that rear suspension is a linkage system, in general this usually means a better suspension, it allows them to optimize the travel geometry. The bike also uniquely has a Pin Motor, its a newer motor technology, Tesla uses it, they are more energy dense, so smaller yet same power, or same size but more power than competing technologies, also more thermal efficient, so they run cooler, and usually running cooler equals more energy efficient, which could mean more range. What I don't know, is it quieter? Being I know what a Tesla sounds like, I'm thinking it should be. I also find the weight odd, it weighs almost the same as the larger Ultra Bee, with a smaller battery pack, and remember the Pin motors are lighter, I guess it does have the 20kW motor, so I guess they chose extra power over similar power but lighter versus the competition.
I ride my eride pro ss on the street of DFW / the metro area without harassment (42 miles daily). Just don't ride around doing wheelies and you'll generally be left alone. Just ride like you should be and you'll be left alone. But all my plastics are off making it look way more mountain bike like. I'm a sucker for the naked bikes even minus the front fender.
Very good points, especially about the legality of the bike. I bought a street legal Ultra Bee from Alibaba for $5800 shipped to my door. I just wouldn't buy a bike bigger than the light bee that I couldn't tag.
In California, they don’t really do anything. They’re riding these bikes around LA like it’s a parade and I see them all over the valley in the streets never really on the sidewalks cops everywhere doing nothing about it providing your wheel is down and you’re not pulling really hard.
Everyone on an Ultra Bee with pegs + unlocked is already riding illegally on the road (and the cops are catching on) so you may as well get what is CLEARLY the far superior and faster bike for the money. I rock a 12kW Bomber with pedals on the roads to fly under the radar and will be purchasing the Altis Sigma for my 2 acre moto track.
This was the most honest conclusion I’ve ever heard from these bike reviews. Everyone talks about power but nobody talks about your ability to ride in the streets and not look like your on an unlicensed motorcycle. I also don’t want it to require plates. For that I’d buy a motorcycle. These are supposed to be bikes I can use regularly.
@@ZennJoker I don't know that much about electric bike specs but from what I do know the better the battery, the more range you get. And things like aniioki have great range for there lower cost bikes. Range is just real important man 😞
@shainshahini368 the AH is only a part of it. The battery pack is 3360 wh. So it's bigger then all the other in the light emote class besides the 7k ventus one.
It is designed to be an off-road vehicle, not designed to be ridden on public roads. To expect it to perform outside of its design is expected to be disappointed.
Size of a battery (or range based on that capacity) is based on total watts; so do some multiplication to get total capacity watt hr = amp hr x volts. So a 60 volt 60 amp battery is the same size as say a 98 volt 36.7ah battery. They're both 3600 watts. Since the Altis is 98 volts and more amps given the same amps (power drawn) being run through the bike you will get more than the MX5 and less than the Ultra. But yeah at full max power or speed your going to be burning watts (range) super fast.
Hi. When you say that the total amount of energy is the watt hour.... Does that means that if I have a 36V 10,4Ah 374,4Wh battery with and 350W hub motor on my bike. That would make the bike ride on full strength for 1 hour?
You must live at home with your parents stlll because $5500 is what it cost to pay rent, utilities, insurance, etc.. It's a lot of money when you dont live with your parents.
For the amount of bike you are getting, it really is cheap. It's 96 volts, a battery upgrade alone for the other bikes would be 3 to 4k minimum, that plus a 20kw motor and a full frame, this is a steal
Exactly its a Steal for the price And I don't live with my parents SMH I Work Very hard So why can't I spend my hard earn money ride safe and enjoy Life..
