What’s the movie about?

One of the most iconic scenes in all of cinema history
its just the 1933 version but more modern

I cried seeing Kong bravely face up to the airplanes, knowing he wasn’t going to survive
Took out three of them like a boss
Kong goes from being a misunderstood gorilla on top of the empire state building to being a trusted giant ape bigger than the empire state building. Also, one of basically three titans that could be trusted to not attack good people after Godzilla vs Kong. The three being Kong, Godzilla, and Mothra.
Assuming this is the monsterverse you're talking about, even tho Godzilla is never seen harming any humans with malicious intent, he never really cared for them, unlike Kong who only cares for certain humans who did him some good and Mothra who's mostly a peaceful titan and will fight when necessary.
Actually, even in the Monsterverse, he's STILL smaller than the Empire State Building. The Empire State Building is 1,454 feet tall, while Legendary Kong is only 337 feet tall as an adult. Granted, he would probably destroy the Empire State Building if he ever tried to climb it, but he is still about four times smaller than it.

I’m surprised King Kong wasn’t seen bleeding despite his gunshot wounds.
Actually he does bleed, if you look closely at the 1:44 mark King Kong has blood on his chest and hand.
Some things are left out for aesthetic reasons (we also never see his junk)

@@PatrickDoran2319 Well, I can barely see it that easily. Makes me realise just how much De Laurentiis accomplished his goal for making HIS version of the climax tragic by having as much blood on Kong as possible.
Aircrews should have simply circled and let the tailgunners to the work. Would avoid coming into danger-close with the target.
the writers needed kong to take down a few, so this is our result.
I headcannon they didn’t expect Kong would pose that much difficulty and given his general agility it may have been harder to gun him down from a farther range as we see most of the gunfire only gets him when they planes do fly relatively near
I'd imagine the pilots wanted glory for killing a big ass gorilla

Well, this was based more off the original story where the Military did manage to kill Kong, which was unrelated entirely to Godzilla.
Kong from the newer movies was intended to be part of those old crossovers revived.

@@Blue_Justice_12these plane are actually from 1925, they are called the A-3 falcon by Curtis, they where being replaced by a A-8 shrike which was a monoplane unlike the bi plane we see here

Navy? how do you know that those planes were of the Navy or the Army, or even the Air Force?
Those are Army Air Corps planes or AAC.
Air force was still the Army Aviation Corps at the time. These are AAC not Navy, though it would acctually be more realistic to assume that the Navy launched a few of their planes off the backs of dreadnaughts.
It’s 1933, the Air Force would not exist for another decade. Also in order for these guys to respond in a timely manner they would have had to deploy from the nearby Mitchell Field so they would have been under Army command.
Because at the time army planes had their fuselage painted blue or yellow while the navy only had the wings painted
Did those planes realize that they made that woman "nearly" fall to her death? When I first saw the movie, I thought the planes were trying to kill Ann too.

When Kong climbs the Empire State Building it made me think of skull island . But fighting the planes is the one scene I remember watching in theaters when I was ten years old back in 2005

Kong is shot numerous times and there is no blood. The 1976 version is very gory. Kong is literally butchered by the helicopter gunfire. This one is hard to watch.
