100 Hour World's Best Detail for this Green Ferrari 488 Pista Spider!

- We were sent this incredible Verde British (British Racing Green) Ferrari 488 Pista Spider by a good customer of ours for our best treatment - the Level 5 Signature Detail... This 100-hour process is to reduce the effect known as 'Orange Peel'. Orange Peel causes unsightly reflections and doesn't do the car justice. Several stages of sanding and polishing later and our detailers are able to almost entirely eradicate the distortions, producing glass-like reflections.
After the detail, we fully protected the car with our PPF, and ceramic coated the body for the perfect result.
Thanks for watching, Topaz Detailing

Really enjoyed the correction and PPF application. Thank You
Wow, lovely spec. A nice change from the Red Pistas you see most often.
Thanks!
@@TopazDetailing Is this a
Jamiroquai car?
Or yellow ones, but red 488 are plagues 🤣

Cool video, that edit is cool thanks for sharing with us
Awesome content, great editing, good job
The way a FERRARI is supposed to be taken care of!
`Detailer at Ferrari`
so satisfying to watch
You guys need to film in 4K@60fps, cant see details on 1080p
You won't see them either way when the cameraman uses super shallow depth of field in the after shots to hide any texture remaining in the finish.
That car looks awesome! Job well done.
Thanks for watching
Great job 👍👍
Most satisfied i ever was in my entire 14 year life after watching this video......
Love from India☺️:)

Watching again after today’s video💯💯💯
Always and amazing Job. ALWAYS
Thank you! Cheers!
I love topaz
Wonderful car
Detailing is my passion… I aspire to achieve this skill level 🔥🔥🔥👌
My God...the labor/hrs involved even with an experienced detailer must be huge. Definitely appreciate the attention to detail though.
The final result is absolutely stunning and your client has exceptionally good taste. A brave color to paint a Ferrari, but the yellow shields and silver contrast stripes inside and out just pull the whole thing together...absolutely jaw dropping.
That being said, the condition of the paint before you started was disgraceful. I know Ferrari’s aren’t renowned for the quality of their paint but, how on earth did that pass factory QA...did it look that bad in the flesh, or is it the camera angles/light are particularly unflattering. The owner must be thrilled with the result.
Super!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Two words , Like Glass 👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Ferrari !!! 😍😍
Nice work 👌💎👌
Thanks 🔥
Great work and vid, the green suits the Ferrari perfectly.
Thanks for watching
I dunno about a Ferrari in Green... Great if you don't want to look too flash.
@@user-jt1jv8vl9r if it’s gonna be in green it’s gonna be in British Racing Green imo. Would of liked the interior to be tan but oh well.
Nice Video like every time
Thanks for watching
Nice desk
you're the best 👌💯🔝
You are the best
Love it!! Would have been great if the video was in 4K for the details 😎
Next time!
Wow, when a car becomes a piece of art.
Well done!.👍..The level 5 detailing, commands respect!!...One of the BEST channels on RUclips!!... Hope to be watching videos for years to come!!..
It’s pretty expensive but it’s so worth it
Thank you for your kind words
Good job Topaz. Also youre People thats working on the car they are master. Good team work
Thanks for your kind words
Hey. What is the product name for the plastic 1/8 inch blue tape did you guys used.? Not the masking tape one.
I wanna try find it here in my country.
No ceramic coating on top of the PPF? I think that would be something very important for maintaining ease of cleaning after the PPF is applied. Maybe I am mistaken? The paint correction looks spectacular though. Great job!
Looks Amazing...If you don't mind me asking. How much did all that cost?
And the Academy award for best cinematography in a car detailing video goes to........
Thanks for your kind words
Really brought out the cracks and fingerprints on my cell phone!
I am converted Nabil, and became a strong believer... We need Topaz Dubai 😉
You guys do amazing jobs! Absolutely stunning!
Amazing job as usual. I get the skill, time and process to achieve these results but how do you cut the PPF to the correct size and shape? 3D scanner and some cleaver software? Love to know and watch that process as very interested. Would make a good video, or is this a trade secret?
Well done 👍
Our process is secret unfortunately!
@@TopazDetailing it's not a Stanley knife and a steel ruler then🤣
Probably definitely a laser 3D mapping system of every inch of the car.
Music is amazing content is beautiful! Song reminds me of >>> EDGE OF THE LIGHT X JORDAN CRITZ
I love the song during the montage, whats the name of the song?
Ferrari management to their paint and quality guys after watching this video: Y'all ain't doing your job properly lads!
Not really, only custom painted cars go through that level of paint leveling. However they spray a thick coat of clear so it can be leveled flat. Ferrari didn't paint that car with that level of clear for what Topaz is doing. It's highly likely they are removing way too much clear coat for this process which will compromise the clear coat.
@@gpaje I'd be sooo curious to see what the paint thickness gauge says before and after!
@@LadyJustice86 I as well, really curious.
@@gpaje i believe they use the guage through out the process, just isn’t shown on camera. Especially when they deal with high end cars they won’t risk any damage to the paint.
I agree Sohum, when you pay £250K plus for a car I would expect the final paint to match the car. I really do think orange peel at this price level is unacceptable. Mass production cars fair enough but Ferrari etc ... sort it out chaps.
I've got a British Racing Green 6 series and im looking to do something v similar, unfortunately the previous owner took it thu one too many gas station washes...
How much does a lvl5 detail cost for a regular sized sportscar like this one?😊
Can you make my Opel Combo to a pristine condition as a different kind of mission? ...a sponsored one. I'm all in. 🚙💨
How much cost for 2021 model year?
No ceramic coating over the PPF?
Only on the paint
Some PPFs are already ceramic coated.
beyond in silence: in a Saund of an engine the immense dream of a Ferrari man
Im a big fan av all your work, and I love this videos. But something I have been wondering for a while - Why do you guys not have any lifts to get the cars up in the air? I know from detailing my own cars for however long, your body gets so sore by doing all the lower parts, and I cant imagine doing that day in and day out. It must be a better work environment for your employees if they can get the cars up a bit and have more "normal" working positions. Is there any specific reason why there are no lifts? Just a thought! Anyways, back to the video!
100+ hours with no lift? Yes, I'd go nuts.
@Seamus McShamish Yes sure you get used to it, I get that. But it still not good for the body, working in those awkward positions. Hence why using a lift would be good
Is the rotary a personal choice after the sanding? Or is it just the most effective?
I would assume using the Rupes rotary to bring back gloss after the sanding/wetsanding process is to visually inspect that "yes, it is mirror finish, just needs a few more steps to be perfect"
@@LadyJustice86 my question is why they are using a rotary insted of a dual action polisher. If im not wrong they used a rotary after sanding then a dual action for correctrion and then the rotary again for refining and then the dual action again for the last step. So i was just wondering why they just dont use one or the other
@Seamus McShamish do you sand after laying the clear down on the car? Like a bently paint
It's wild how you have to INTRODUCE scratches to get rid of scratches!
We need 4k videos
Looks amazing but the fuel flap cover is not perfectly aligned. 9:53
This car is so clean it makes every clean object and surface around it look dirty
Absolutely fabulous car, but having those little orange indicators near the expensive SF shields look a little bit... weird ?
i've never understood what's so special about the pista's.
Is this the same owner as the GT2 you did?
👍
What would this cost??
Very nice work, it's paint work at Ferrari is shocking for the price.
Same owner as the green Porsche recently detailled?
Would be a bit peeved if my paint needed that much orange peel effect removing considering how much it cost in the first place. I know that no car can be perfect but for the price it is new I would hope it was damn close.
After all that.
No ceramic top coat?
my exact thoughts!
How much did it cost him to do it? Just for future reference when I get my first supercar
....im thinking...a LOT.
In my opinion, the PPF actually looks better than the raw paint. It looks to mute the fiber that shows through on the paint alone.
@Seamus McShamish Wonderful input. Let all be the fact that you can actually see it in the video.
You have cultivated the capacity to have great memory when you have only that capacity you become mechanical repeating what you have recorded as memory. So you are never free to observe so you begin to learn how to learn.
Is this the same customer that has that epic GT2RSPL with the leather interior?
100 hours is four days!!!!!!
Who, how and why dislikes this video?
would love to know how much a level 5 would cost. can’t be cheap lol
probably 15-20k
This car wasn't painted from the factory for this type of "paint leveling" in mind, I don't know how it has enough clear coat to do this much sanding while maintaining durability of the clear. I think they think that covering the paint with PPF is going to make up for that?
Assuming their 5-year warranty of the PPF on the car is enough to guarantee protection... i would have coated the PPF in a ceramic coating, to protect against further elements... unless this car is sitting in a garage, not being used except for Sundays for church.
@@LadyJustice86 I'm sure they did later, that makes sense, especially if they don't intend on the car being out in the elements a lot.
Amazing work, but why cant ferrari get it right from the factory ?
they never do.... trust me....
In 2020, all video should be 4K quality~
How is this not narrated by David Attenborough
Kills me that a new Ferrari has to have the paint corrected. I had a silver Acura RSX type S in 2003 that had not a spot of orange peel on it, and yes I hand detailed that car with clay bar so I knew every inch of the surface.
