With four tire inflators you can turn on the compressor as soon as one tire is connected. Then keep removing the caps and connecting more tires as the compressor runs. The pressures will equalize and the total time should be less.
I bought this when it first came out. Literally the first group sent out. I’ve used it 15 times and love it, no more staying bent over. I use it with a Power Tank. Takes about 3 minutes to air up 4 37’s. I recommend it to everyone who sees it. I didn’t get a hat.
@David Wang huh? the tubing is rated at 100 psi. why would you risk blowing out the tubing with a power tank? arb compressors float around 100 psi during inflation so much safer
@@jusimplicit what does it matter? You're not airing the tires past 30ish PSI anyways. Power Tanks have regulators for dialing down the pressure for tire inflation. Those hoses will never see 100 psi if your doing the job right.
Based on our experience with the "hoses get covered in mud" model, the 4 tires will only equalize if parked on a level surface. Doesn't take much to have a few psi variance between corners. Still so handy vs doing one corner at a time.
I built my own and it works great. The fact that I can sit inside while I air up and down is a huge win especially living on the wet Coast. I run 3/8" line for my set up so less restriction
I did the same: 3/8" line with high flow quick connects to it. Overall I'm happy because I don't have to bend down and air up 4 tires one at a time. My 37s take about 5 minutes from 8 to 30psi. Plus the gauge I have is close enough that I can tell what the PSI is without turning off the air flow.
I built a similar system on my own about 2 years ago. Kudos and best of luck to TJ Mitchell for turning it into a business! I have never compared the actual inflation times single vs. 4 at once. I always assumed that, same pressures, same volumes, and same compressor, the big difference would be in set up time. And aside from everything else, by far the biggest advantage AFAIC is what you mentioned at the end of the vid: you do not spend 15 mins hunched over tires for both deflation and inflation. You can do something else or just sit around and relax. And that's worth gold IMO.
I got my Speedflate in September and love it! Couldn't have been designed better and very well built. So nice knowing I have perfect air pressure in my tires and with MT's , proper rotation and inflation will keep the tire noise down and tires will last longer with even tread ware. Super easy to air up-down your friends too. I installed a two-way air system on my JK that took an afternoon to install (running air hoses to each wheel well and joining up under the hood where my compressor was mounted). On my new JL, I mounted a dual ARB under the passenger seat. Never gets dusty/wet/dirty and I crank the AC floor panel to high and cold when airing up to keep the compressor cool. Great review Casey!
I love my Speedflate system and TJ is great to do business with. I have used it on 5 different outings and the speed and convenience when airing up or down is fantastic. I had an early model with pressure fittings and one of them developed a leak, TJ got new heavy duty connectors on it quickly and was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend this system and this company to anyone!
The difference is 46 seconds. That is without the valve stem removal or whatever. At the end of the day it comes down to what your time is worth. Life or death 46 seconds is a lot. Life or death I would drive my 12 psi tires on the road. So is it worth it? For me, absolutely not. UNLESS I didn't have another setup to begin with. But I find that BSing at the end of a trail and talking about fun had often times leads to even more good times during those few extra seconds or minutes. Keep in mind, not everyone will air up the same and I have never seen someone left behind. We aren't out there on a time crunch, we are having fun, decompressing, making memories with friends. At the end of the day I hope speedflate makes money and is successful. I hope Casey is with his channel and adventures. There is no wrong option here and I love your videos Casey keep them up.
Thanks for doing the timed comparison. I recently purchased a similar system but I never 'air down'. My benefit, for large truck tires, is the ability to balance pressures periodically. My vehicle is new so it has a TPMS that shows when something is low - no need to touch the tire to gather that information. If one or two tires are a bit low, a quick 'topping off' is more efficient and I don't need to deploy/retrieve the hose system.
There are two advantages to the system compared to a single line that helps them fill faster. First, the restriction that the valve stems cause is minimized because the volume of air is being pushed to 4 tires at the same time. (This is less of a concern if your compressor doesn't push a lot of CFM). Second, the compressor is always running, with a single line there is downtime for the compressor as you move from tire to tire. I think if you started the compressor and connected the first tire (removing the valve cap at that time) and then continued to the other three tires the 'real world' time would be improved.
I have a homemade one similar to your speedflate , instead of plugging it onto all 4 tyres, then walking back to turn the pump on,I start pump first then connect the tyres as my compressor has a small inbuilt tank . Shaves a couple of minutes off easy 👍🤠
it is way faster to fill up all 4 tires, on those ARB twins you don't get the full CFM doing a single tire at a time. on average I can air up 3 1/2 minutes faster than my friends that do it 1 at a time. i have a different 4 tire kit i made but... ultimately you have to wait for your friends to air up, or if you're at camp airing up, you're 1 beer ahead of them haha!

Great idea, I made these back in the 80's n 90's four wheeling in Texas n Florida. The plastic hoses are the weak link. I normally run my front tires 2-3 psi higher than my rear tires, (weight of engine difference). Airing up 4 35" tires on several vehicles was painless but one of the hoses split at the connector during hook up of the fifth vehicle. I love the quality gauge and connectors!! My wheelin' buddies only complaint was getting the hoses rolled n unrolled, minor gripe!! I used all Harbor Freight parts both times (i think) so you be the judge. I imagine that a 4-tire system with the addition of a pressure regulator to cut off the air when you reach the desire pressure would be awesome in terms of freeing you up to do other things. I've looked at a few systems and wonder why none of them include a regulator- maybe there's a down-side I'm not seeing.
I just purchased an ARB twin and I also purchased the pressure control system for this exact purpose, not only does it stop at the designated pressure it also lets you have different presets depending on what type of terrain you're going to be driving on. It also airs down for you to your set pressure so you don't have to stand and guard the pressure gauge. Seems like a perfect addition to the 4 tire inflation systems.
If the 4 tire system have 4 shutoff valves, wouldn't it be faster to start airing up as soon as one tire is hooked up? This would allow you to get pressure into the system sooner. Thoughts?
@David Wang Not a big deal David. He was timing it. Like you said, it would make a 30 second difference on the comparison. In the experience of life, not a big deal; in a timed comparison, 30 seconds. I appreciate his testing and was trying to make it as competitive as possible is all. Have a great day David.
Not having to babysit each tire during airdown and airup is a major benefit. Now I just need to decide on co2 tank with pressure regulator or arb compressors. *I'm thinking arb compressors because 7 minutes isn't bad for airing up especially if not having to do each tire individually. Co2 might help though if needing to reseat tire bead, but that's what spare is for i guess
When buying some tires I noticed that 35" inch tires were smaller on some tire brands & larger on others. How about a test on the most common tire sizes & which most of the brands people usually buy common to Jeeps?
I use a portable tire inflator with a programable pressure setting & do 1 tire at a time. It's a lot smaller than all that equipment you're dragging & only cost me $70. For that price I can wait any extra minutes & the pump has a 1 year warranty. This pump also works on house current & has various fittings to do air mattresses, beach balls etc. How much did all the parts to your system cost?
I built my own 4x fill system using Flexzilla standard air hose. The problem I have with the coiled hoses is that its too easy to get them intertwined when stored.
I like the design, I have a spider air system. It's basically a tank with 4 hose outlets and a pressure gauge on the tank. I have the same air compressor as you (ARB twin). You should have your engine running to stop your battery discharging too much. Especially if you have to air up a trailer or your mates vehicle because he forgot his air compressor.
Any time I air up my tires, I have to fiddle with the inflator holding it just right on the valve stem because there always seems to be a little leakage. I find it baffling there hasn't been any technological progress in the last 50 years that would give us a walk-away, 100% positive connection.
The one on my super cheap smittybilt has a thread on inflator, that gives a 100% positive connection. Speed and convenience is a good trade off for threading on every connection though.
The pin that pushes on the valve core is likely sealed similar to a shrader valve core itself. It has a spring to push the pin 'out' and presses against a sealing surface. Any air coming through the line from a connected tire will push on the back of said pin, and actually aid that sealing surface from preventing leaks.
the problem with a lot of these videos is that taking that long hose assembly in and out of the bag takes a lot of time and those spiral hose is going to tangle up on you
Update for my speedflate I ordered about a month ago. I don’t know if I got a dud but mine leaks horribly from the quick disconnect that attaches to the compressor. I have a single arb that is 2 months old and works great with any other fittings. But with the speedflate it leaks more then fills unless I’m holding the fitting at an angle. I’ve contacted the company so we will see about a replacement or refund. Overall super disappointing after spending almost 200$
Sorry they're way too bulky to store in a 2 door TJ already full of camping gear. I use a good quality portable compressor ($70) hooked up directly to the battery which packs into a small 6-pack size bag which I can remove from the Jeep when daily driving. Cab mounted super compressors have a bad habit of disappearing if you parked on the street or your driveway. I'm running 31"x10.5" tires so it doesn't take that long to air up and I'm not a weekend warrior, rather a road warrior where I'll drive to Arizona, air down and spend a week 4-wheelin' in remote areas then air up for the highway run to the nearest town for food, water & gas, and another 400 mile highway run. Used to run with hard core rock crawler types and clearly the CO2 tank setup is the fastest for airing up big tires hands down. The octopus setup is silly for the time saved, a waste of money. Frankly onboard air is an expense not worth paying unless you have air lockers. My elderly former Baha 1000 racer mechanic has told me over and over KISS is the key, trick stuff not on your Jeep cannot fail.
They really need to have world wide shipping, I really want to copy one pair it with my apex design valves. Airing down and up does not sounds like a fun killer anymore.
Still liking the Speedflate system? Purchased the ARB twin compressor. Almost bought the pump-up kit from ARB, but thinking this is the way I'm going to go. Can you set it up so it stops automatically at a pressure you pre-set? I guess the code expired. :( Thanks for the video.
I have a 4 wheel system I created after I saw it on Trail Recon. I use the Smittybuilt 2871 5.65CFM pump and I can go from 12 to 30 PSI in just over 4 minutes (On 35"s though). 6:40 seems a little long, Not sure if the ARB double pumper is running well or something.
Seems like it is worth it just for the convenience of it alone. Nothing sucks more than filling tires in a downpour. Love the wheels, would they fit a’13 jkur. Where did you get the Ferrari inspired Jeep stickers with the moose. Love it. Take care of yourself and be safe out there.🍻🌲
Two things, The speedflate kit has been sold out forever and the other bummer is that the hoses are 100lb pressure max so if you use a co2 that this won't work for you. I really wanted that but oh well.
Ya. I was doing thr math. The time it would take me to go get my co2 tank constantly refilled would outwiegh the time i spend airing up. When i am away on a long trip I could air up 10+ times as well. Thats why I use a compressor.
CO2 is great, but it shouldn't be solely relied on IMO. Especially not for someone who wheels alot and has 37"+ tires. However if speed is your only concern, and you don't mind refilling all the time, powertanks are awesome. Also powertanks don't really help if all your other wheeling buddies have on board compressors. You end up spending the same amount of time sitting there waiting for everyone else.
I air up all 4 with my Powertank, you need to use a hose between the tank and the valve so the valve doesn’t freeze up. Takes about 3 minutes to do all 4 and you don’t have to bend over.
I built my own 4-way hose 2 years ago and use a CO2 bottle. I think it takes about 90 sec to fill four 33" tires from 18psi to 36psi. I do keep a ViAir compressor for backup. Question, does that included gauge show real time pressure with the air flowing or do you have to close the valve to get the pressure like most others?
Are you enjoying this still? Just grabbed the dual arb for our diesel and really like the idea TJ has with this. Figured by now you would really know how well it works for you.
I have a air pump that automatically shuts off at the preset psi I want but It’s slow and I have to do every tire One at a time🤷 but I like it because it shuts off automatically😁
Hey Casey...great video...my question is...did you check each tire pressure individually after using the speed flate to see if they all were the same pressure? Thanks
Hey Casey! Looking at getting this. Did you order just the basic speedflate 4 tire kit or was there any other attachments you had to add for your wheels?
The way you want to take the caps off first, and then put the caps on last.......... You have made four trips around the Jeep ! Bet that eats up the saved min. Just saying !
You are correct. I just dont like trying to hold the tensioned air line and not dropping it in the mud while trying to get my two caps off (nomads have dual caps)
Great video Casey keep them coming, question for ya any guys you wheel with, running the new Mickey Thompson Baja Boss, do you have any feed back on them. 🏒🍻🇨🇦
@@Casey250 They look like they’d do well on the wet rocks and in the snow with the extra siping in the tread blocks, the redesigned 3 ply sidewall should make the tire much tougher also.
Thanks for the videos, Casey! I was stalking your Jeep for months waiting for my '21. I also have Nomad wheels, but I can't seem to find a clip-on air chuck that fits with the Nomad (into the recess). Have you had any issues?
How accurately does this system air up and air down each tire? Is there a bias on the tires that are closer to the compressor vs the ones at the end of the hose or does it really equalize the air between all 4 tires?
Since it is a closed system, air pressure will be equal across the entire system. This comment also assumes there are no regulators at each tire (which I don't believe there are).
I don't think it's worth having that extra hose to save that amount of time. I'd also just air up to maybe 27-28 psi if I were just trying to get home. Those last ticks in pressure take the longest to reach.
@@Casey250 Point taken. Unless you are going off road right now, even if someone ordered it, they won't get it for a week. May as well order all the components from Amazon and piece it together yourself. There is a video on RUclips where someone used a manifold and two ball valves along with four hybrid air hoses for use with a CO2 tank. May not be the most compact and not the lightest but it will get the job done.

The one on my super cheap smittybilt has a thread on inflator, that gives a 100% positive connection. Speed and convenience is a good trade off for threading on every connection though.
If you’re using the arb inflator, just twist clockwise with the threads and the leaking stops.
Thanks for the code. Ordered one today
Thanks for the code! Got mine, does your screen turn off after a minute or two of running?
What keeps the air from coming out of your tire while you’re hooking up the rest of the tires
Each end that goes to the tire only is open while connected
The pin that pushes on the valve core is likely sealed similar to a shrader valve core itself. It has a spring to push the pin 'out' and presses against a sealing surface. Any air coming through the line from a connected tire will push on the back of said pin, and actually aid that sealing surface from preventing leaks.
Disconnect probably has a check valve
the problem with a lot of these videos is that taking that long hose assembly in and out of the bag takes a lot of time and those spiral hose is going to tangle up on you
Update for my speedflate I ordered about a month ago.
3/8 hose hiflo connectors maxi trac dual compressor 35s. 12lbs to 30lbs 2.5 mins.
Have one 4x system and love it.
Still liking the Speedflate system? Purchased the ARB twin compressor. Almost bought the pump-up kit from ARB, but thinking this is the way I'm going to go.
Can you set it up so it stops automatically at a pressure you pre-set?
I guess the code expired. :(
Thanks for the video.
I use the DIY 4 hose air method it works perfectly
Thanks Casey. I have one of those systems and you helped with perspective before I tried my own.
Glad it was helpful!
how about a video on the new 392 Wrangler that Jeep is releasing in Spring 2021
I will make one after work today.
I bought the for tire set up, it works great
Do you have any suggestions or reviews for a three peak all terrain tire?
Thanks
Seems like it is worth it just for the convenience of it alone. Nothing sucks more than filling tires in a downpour. Love the wheels, would they fit a’13 jkur. Where did you get the Ferrari inspired Jeep stickers with the moose. Love it.
Take care of yourself and be safe out there.🍻🌲
If you look for prancing moose stickers they will come up in google. I bought it years ago.
Two things, The speedflate kit has been sold out forever and the other bummer is that the hoses are 100lb pressure max so if you use a co2 that this won't work for you. I really wanted that but oh well.
CO2 tank, problem solved. 33 seconds per tire.
Can you send C02 to all 4 tires at the same time with this?
I air up all 4 with my Powertank, you need to use a hose between the tank and the valve so the valve doesn’t freeze up. Takes about 3 minutes to do all 4 and you don’t have to bend over.
CO2 also slowly deflates your tires over time.
That is a really cool system
Congrats Casey, you're almost to 25K subs!
Whaaaaaaat! Crazy
Cool 😎 product.
Are you enjoying this still? Just grabbed the dual arb for our diesel and really like the idea TJ has with this. Figured by now you would really know how well it works for you.
I use it every time I'm out
Nice system def on my list to buy.
ordered thanks Casey used your discount
I have a air pump that automatically shuts off at the preset psi I want but It’s slow and I have to do every tire One at a time🤷 but I like it because it shuts off automatically😁
Great video. Just ordered mine. Thanks for the code
Glad I could help
What length hose is that hose used to demonstrate single tire inflation
Always down pressure is a bit timeless 👍👍
That's system well worth long term investment .
Wow, love the mobile compressor concept. How are you finding it? How is it like? Tx
I love it!
Do they not offer the 4x kit in orange anymore???
Sweet! Just ordered!
Hey Casey...great video...my question is...did you check each tire pressure individually after using the speed flate to see if they all were the same pressure?
Thanks
I have been and they balance well with the manifold.
Hey Casey! Looking at getting this. Did you order just the basic speedflate 4 tire kit or was there any other attachments you had to add for your wheels?
Ive stopped using it since I got a Kraken from epic-4wd.com - I was using the basic one.
@@Casey250 I just saw the kraken and ordered it last night!
@@Casey250 Oh !
Now I have been schooled !
Don’t those coiled hose lines tend to get tangled up with each other while stored in the bag?
What if the tires each have different pressure? Would this bring them all to the same psi?
It does, but you can unhook any tires you want lower and keep going.
What are you using to plug the Speedflate into your compressor?
A quick release arb connector
Great video Casey keep them coming, question for ya any guys you wheel with, running the new Mickey Thompson Baja Boss, do you have any feed back on them. 🏒🍻🇨🇦
I don't but I was looking at the Mickey Thompsons and they look nice.
Arb digital inflator works with a bit of wrangling. The speedflate chucks seem to fit a bit better, enough that I can clip them in pretty quick.
Just purchased it!
SO buying a very good compressor like the top ARB model and 214,- USD for filling your tyres 2 minutes faster ...... sounds like a good deal ...
I don't think it's worth having that extra hose to save that amount of time. I'd also just air up to maybe 27-28 psi if I were just trying to get home. Those last ticks in pressure take the longest to reach.
Absolutely all at the same time 👍👍thanks for the info🍺Remember keep it on the dirt
Always!
How do you mount and get power to the ARB tailgate mounted compressor? very cool
Jcr molle rack
Does it affect durability of the air compressor?
Doubt it.
Saved time I like it thanks
Whay doing it on the out side.when You can do this from the inside of the car on the move 😀
Did I miss the air compressor install video?
Yes I’d love to see an install video as well!
It is a few videos back. ruclips.net/video/zhBFiM6JtvI/видео.html
I don’t know, maybe if I was told I had 6 months to live. I can spare a couple minutes a day.
Try speedflat and co2
nailed it
Casey, who are these 8 👎🏻 people. Can I smack em upside their head? 😂 😂
The cost is insanely expensive considering you can build the entire system yourself for much less.
Time is money. Some have it, some don't (time).
