    Such a great job at breaking down the benefits and drawbacks! We are still on the hunt for that "perfect product" but great job helping outline those for everyone. You even got in a bunch of the little nuanced tricks for people... let the air out before coiling up, start coiling at the manifold, open flow vs closed flow, valve stem air flow limitations, etc. This may have become our new favorite video... don't think we could have done this good ourselves as an all inclusive product info video :)

      Thanks guys! Really appreciate the feedback here.
      It really has been a great product to test over the last few months and although I was genuinely a little sceptical, I am converted. It is extremely easy to use and provides benefits that far outweigh any considerations.
      Awesome work creating a product that can successfully complete with other similar products out there on the market at a very competitive price too.
      Looking forward to seeing what MorrFlate comes up with moving forward.
      Cheers, Nathan.

    Hopefully you realise just how helpful this video is to some people. I've got the arb inflation and deflation systems and the deflation is good, but the inflation.. man.. for the longest time that's been doing my head in. I've found that because it doesn't clip onto the tyre fully (unlike the morrflate), the weight of the hose hanging actually ruins the connection and air leaks out faster than the compressor can pump the tyre up, so I'm having to bend down and hold it just for it to do its job.
    If the mounting system on the morrflate will eliminate this problem, I think it's worth every cent.
    Thanks for putting this on my radar

    I have the maxtrax equivalent. I feel that it takes a bit longer for tyres to equalise pressure.
    As not all hose lengths are the same, the tyres connected with the longest hose will inflate slower that the tyres with the shorter hose.
    Also, if the Schroder valve is not depressed that same amount on all tyres, they will inflate/deflate at different rates.
    Either way, leaving it all connected for a few minutes after the gauge time indicates the desired pressure will let tyres equalise.
    One of my gripes with this system is the difficulty in keeping all fittings clean of dirt and debris when setting up/packing up.
    The other con is the set up and pack up time as you have to wind hoses.
    A pro that wasn’t mentioned is that you can inflate a tyre with your spare tyre. If you pump your spare to 100psi you can connect your spare to a tyre and use excess pressure to inflate another tyre.

    • @kx8960
      @kx8960 Месяц назад

      ...assuming that your spare can SAFELY handle 100psi....which rules out any spare I've ever heard of except actual heavy duty truck tires like on an 18-wheeler. If you want to do something like that, just get an actual pressure vessel rated for psi like that. They sell tanks like that for a reasonable cost. I have a compressor at home good to 200psi, and thought about getting a smaller tank rated to 200psi to inflate tires on the trail. I guarantee my home compressor is WAY faster. But carrying around a volume of air pressurized like that IS dangerous, there's a lot of stored energy there so you'd have to be careful where you mounted it etc.

    Great Review Nathan. I have been using the same set up for about two years now and I rate it highly. I mainly bought it because we tow a tandem axle off-road caravan and our travels see us regularly/frequently airing down and up again and doing 8 tyres one at a time gets old quick. I do not use it for airing down, however as I find it quicker and easier to screw my DFL8's onto all four caravan tyres and then use my ARB deflator on the cruiser, The DFL8's have been so impressive that I am considering getting another 4 for the car. It'll be a bit slower, but easier and they have proven to be accurate and reliable. Airing up with the Moorflat is where it comes into its own IMO, and the quality is top notch. Mine has had a lot of use and its great. I do need to use an extension ot do the van Tyres but thsi still fits in the bag. I also have one valve on my van that for some reason is really difficult to get a seal on with the chuck. All in-all I really rate this product highly.

    So its a copy of the maxtrax ideflate? However i do like the valve locks on the morrflate compared to my maxtrax valve lock. Lets face it the only reason the deflate took longer is due to packup. i bet its quicker from start to finish of psi? Thanks for the review and one thing you didnt mention was no crouching with the morrflate big bonus at my age lol.

    • @XploringOz
      @XploringOz  Год назад

      It's similar, but probably a little more up to date. It's got the digital gauge with better accuracy, better valve chucks and most importantly, uses a high flow inflator connection. The in deflate uses a traditional stem valve and as I mentioned, this restricts flow to 2-3CFM, again, limiting the efficiency of the air compressor... and did I mentioned the MorrFlate was cheaper? 😆
      Yes, you are right though, the pack up of all those hoses took some time, but It's all included in the testing 👍
      The fact we don't have to spend 10 min down by the tyres is always a great advantage.

    It looks like having a twin piston compressor (upgrade) would be part of the deal to maximise the benefit and efficiency of the MORRFlate system. I only have a portable single piston compressor which I suspect would really struggle (and get pretty warm) and take quite some time to inflate all four tyres at once using the MORRFlate.
    Great video once again Nathan 👍

    • @pantoqwerty
      @pantoqwerty Год назад

      Interesting point. I have the indeflate which doesn’t latch on anywhere near as reliably as this and hence i hardly use it. I also only have the single arb compressor and my question was going to be…twin vs quad? The quad looks good but with smaller compressor the twin morrflate might be better

    • @rich9903
      @rich9903 Год назад

      @@pantoqwerty Hmmm ... I wasn't aware the MORRFlate comes in a two hose configuration as well as a four so perhaps I ought to jump on their website and have a look. Totally agree with the MaxTrax Indeflate hose connectors not being very reliable. I had noted this from the very first time using mine from new which was a bit disappointing.
      I'd really be interested if the MORRFlate hose connectors (or at least that design) are available somewhere for retro fit to my Indeflate. Surely those connectors would be available somewhere. Apart from that, my single piston compressor (naturally) takes a bit longer to re-inflate two tyres at a time as opposed to one and as a result, also is of course quite a bit warmer than usual afterwards.

    • @XploringOz
      @XploringOz  Год назад

      For sure, the twin compressor is going to maximise that efficiency and perform well when paired up with the Morrflate. MorrFlate also do their own compressor called the TenSix - not sure if you can buy in Aus, but this thing is quick and inflates tyres in a much, much quicker timeframe!

    I recently decided to try the icheck deflators and they are next level of ease and compactness.

      Thats in reference to the Morrflate Compressors themselves though right? This was just focussing on the quad inflation system 👍

    Too bad you don't have the Morrflate compressor, I believe it can be preset and will turn off and it's very quick.

    It's 2023, why are we still having to adjust pressures manually?
    Every service station has an automated solution, why do we settle for less in the back of our 4WDs?

    • @aaronhall1114

      You can automate it using the ARB system which is approx $400. I have seen Dash off-road is using that system with the Morrflate. Sets all 4 tyres to inflate and deflate. I’m unsure if everyone can afford it though

      @@aaronhall1114 I haven't tested the ARB automated system, though know that their manual digital inflator is a major restrictor to flow at high rates of air volume. Hopefully they addressed the issue with the auto version.

      Hey Simon, I hear you there. No doubt the industry is making its way in this direction.
      I guess size restrictions would play a small part, but I'm guessing the additional cost is another big factor.
      ARB have started this, will be interesting to see how the market adapts moving forward 👍

      @@XploringOz there's the Jamec Pem Auto 1000 (a bit big, but industrial quality) and the likes of the ARB with the app integration.
      The biggest issue with fast deflation/inflation times is the Schrader valve. I've gone less than 20 seconds to inflate a 35" tyre from 18-38psi, using tanks and a ball valve.
      Anyway, keep up the great work! Love the videos.

      @@XploringOz because a few minutes longer to blow tyres up isn’t really an issue on a comfortable 23 degree day, but on a stinking hot day with kids in the car and dogs, with the sun beating down and crawling around in the sand, 4-5 minutes becomes an intolerable pain in the arse. All of a sudden some of the drawbacks you pointed out become a little less relevant.
