Kinda hard to stomach at this point, making her seem less funny. But I'm guessing that she becomes more goofy and less genuinely harmful in the future.

The dad at the beginning of the episode seemed to be pulling her away from the person, so I take it as young Aira got lost and accidentally called the homeless woman "mommy", which left a lasting impression on the woman. When she died, that desire to be wanted by someone, Aira, made her obsess over her as a spirit.
